Ring of Honor TV live results: Persephone debuts

Ahead of the upcoming AEW/ROH vs. CMLL week in Mexico, Persephone will make her promotional debut on tonight’s Ring of Honor on HonorClub.

The young CMLL star will team with former AEW Women’s World Champion Thunder Rosa will take on CMLL’s Dulce Tormenta and Leila Grey. It’s Tormenta’s first ROH bout since July 2024.

ROH Women’s World Champion Athena will return for the first time since the AEW Owen Hart Foundation women’s tournament as she hosts a Proving Ground match against Rachel Armstrong. A win or draw by the challenger gives her a future title shot.

Wheeler Yuta of the Death Riders will look for his fourth straight win as he faces Aaron Solo.

The show is rounded by an initiation by The Frat House.

**********

A bunch of debuts and a returning champion headlined this week’s episode of ROH on Honorclub (number 119 for those scoring at home).

Persephone & Thunder Rosa vs. Dulce Tormenta & Leila Grey

CMLL’s Persephone makes her ROH debut here teaming up with none other than Thunder Rosa. Rosa last appeared in ROH with a win back in February over Brittnie Brooks. Their adversaries are ROH mainstay Leila Grey and CMLL’s Dulce Tormenta who just a couple of weeks ago won the GCWA Women’s Championship. Neato!

Persephone kicked things off against Grey and the crowd was already chanting for both. Persephone wasted no time in laying out Grey with a big scoop slam. That brought in Rosa who used speed to get a few near falls on Grey. Grey fought back with a sunset flip though and a couple of rollups.

Grey has really stepped up her game, delivering punishing strikes to Rosa before tagging Tormenta in. Persephone followed suit and these two put on a Luchadore show that was fantastic. Persephone was in total control until Tormenta dodged a big splash from the top rope.

Grey tagged in and took the fight to Persephone, hitting a shining wizard into a dragon sleeper. Rosa broke up the hold, but Grey locked it right back in. Persephone came back with a spear worthy of that Copeland guy.

Tormenta and Rosa faced off next with Rosa getting the upper hand with a huge dropkick. Rosa locked in a cobra clutch on Tormenta and she was forced to quickly tap out. Fun match!

Match Result: Persephone & Thunder Rosa defeated Dulce Tormenta & Leila Grey

-Footage was shown of the Frat House backstage, bragging about their drinking skills. They called Ian Riccaboni over and yelled at him about the way he talked about them on commentary. He asked what was next for the Frat House and they offered Riccaboni a drink. Then they yelled the boooooooze part of their catchphrase and left…

…Which brought us to the entrance ramp. Someone tragically gave Jameson a mic and he yelled Fraaaaaat Hoooouuuse and claimed that “hot chicks” were watching Ring of Honor for the first time because of them.

The Frat House were holding an “initiation” and had two pledges with them. Immediately they began beating them up, four on two. Vance let the pledges know that they could be in the group if they win a match against Garrison and Karter.

The Frat House (Griff Garrison and Cole Karter) vs. Two Unnamed Pledges

They never got around to saying the names of the two pledges (but I think one was Dale Springs? Maybe?) Any way, Jameson yelled at them while Garrison and Karter beat them up.

There really wasn’t much to say about this entirely pointless “match.” Surprising no one, Garrison got a pin and that was it.

“Match” Result: The Frat House (Griff Garrison and Cole Karter) defeated Two Unnamed Pledges

-Backstage Persephone and Thunder Rosa cut a promo. Persephone asked Rosa to join her in CMLL for a match since their ROH match went so well. Rosa accepted and that was that.

Wheeler Yuta vs. Aaron Solo

Yuta, who’s playoff beard is admirable but out of control, is six-time ROH Pure champion who just barely survived Anarchy in The Arena at AEW Double or Nothing just 10 days ago. Solo is still the BTW Heavyweight Champion and a genuine workhorse, so this match looks promising from the get-go.

Both men waved off the Code of Honor and locked right up. Yuta seemed to underestimate Solo and left himself open for a couple of chin locks. Yuta turned to strikes then and Solo returned the favor, followed buy a quick dropkick.

Yuta turned the tables with a big suplex and elbow drop from the top rope. Yuta locked in an inside grapevine and started posing, leaving himself open to some shots form Solo. Yuta caught him with a german suplex but missed on the follow through allowing Solo to hit a double stomp form the top rope.

Yuta caught Solo with a big knee to the head and that knocked him clean out. 1-2-3 and Yuta got the win.

Match Result: Wheeler Yuta defeated Aaron Solo

-Backstage, MxMxTV joined us to announce that Mansoor is going to face ROH World Champion Bandido in a Proving Ground match! Taya Valkyrie translated Mansoor’s broken Spanish and predicted that he would win next week’s contest.

ROH Women’s World Champion Athena vs. Rachel Armstrong in a non-title Proving Ground match

Ring of Honor’s Forever Champion Athena is back! Athena’s last ROH match was a tag team win with Diamante back in March that was largely used as something to rub in the face of the Milhouse of Minions, Billie Starkz. Tonight, Athena took on Rachel Armstrong in her ROH debut in a proving ground match. Yeesh, talk about trial by fire…

Athena is not a tall champion, but Armstrong actually looked tiny next to her. The crowd welcomed back Athena, who offered up a Code of Honor and then quickly turned it into a Punch In The Face of Honor.

Athena did not let up from there. She pounded Armstrong in the corner to the point the Ref had to stop it. Armstrong tried to get some offense in with an arm drag and quick super kick followed by a DDT. Armstrong went up top, but Athena slid out of the ring. Armstrong tried a suicide dive, but Athena caught her and threw her into the barricades over and over.

The crowd chanted for Athena who responded by throwing Armstrong into the steel ring stairs. She tossed Armstrong back into the ring and clubbed her in the back of the head. Repeatedly.

Armstrong then got a near fall by reversing a powerbomb attempt into a hurricanrana. That upset the champ and she pulled Armstrong up to the second rope in an electric chair. Armstrong rained down punches though and Athena had to bail. Armstrong went for a 450 but Athena dodged it and picked her up for a sit out powerbomb. That got her the three count and the win in her big return.

Match Result: Athena defeated Rachel Armstrong

After the match, Athena continued beating up Armstrong in the ring. The ref tried to stop her, but Athena tossed him out of the ring. Suddenly, Thunder Rosa appeared and chased Athena out of the ring. Athena sulked up the ramp, but forgot her title belt. Rosa held it up in the ring which made Athena very very angry.

After the match, not unlike an after credits scene in a Marvel movie, a video aired. A spaceship landed in the desert where a certain group of boys were waiting. The flying saucer landed and the door to the ship opened and out stepped…. DALTON CASTLE!

Ring of Honor TV live results: Rhino teams with Hologram

For the first time since 2014, Rhino will return to Ring of Honor on tonight’s ROH on HonorClub.

The former multi-promotion star and past SCUM member will team with the undefeated Hologram to take on The Frat House’s Griff Garrison & Cole Karter.

CMLL’s La Catalina returns to battle Trish Adora.

In two separate big man matches, Lance Archer and Satnam Singh will be in action.

**********

…But not against each other, which let’s be honest, is what we’d all like to see.

Ring of Honor is back in it’s Thursday Night time slot and ready to rock and/or roll!

La Catalina defeated Trish Adora (w/Carlie Bravo & Shawn Dean)

Catalina has “Future Star” written all over her. She has been racking up wins in CMLL and all over Mexico, as well as some ROH heavy hitters like Taya Valkyrie. Adora has been doing her best to adopt the Shane Taylor Promotions methodology like Dean & Bravo have done and it’s paying off in spades with wins over Rachael Ellering (twice!) and Harley Cameron, sans-puppet.

Adora definitely had the bruiser advantage, but Catalina brought luchadore speed to the match. Adora tried to power over Catalina off the top, but Catalina actually remained in control, keeping the match to her chosen pace.

Catalina showed off her hard-hitting skills as well with some really stiff dropkicks on Adora. Adora easily won the posing game though, taking many opportunities to work the crowd as she focused on Catalina’s arm.

Catalina turned the tables though with a really devastating high knee out of the corner. Catalina then went for a modified facebuster with a certain pedigree, but Adora kicked out at two. Things slowed down considerably here which gave Adora more chances to hit big moves, but she couldn’t put Catalina away.

Catalina hit an electric chair on Adora then climbed up for a big frog splash. That was it for Adora as Catalina pinned her and got the win. After the match, Adora showed respect and shook hands with Catalina.

Match Result: La Catalina defeated Trish Adora

-Taya Valkyrie joined us from the back to let us know that the impending Women’s Pure Tournament is a casting call and she’s the main character. She said that she was the headline, not the conversation.

Lance Archer defeated Diego Hill

Hey, here’s a question: Why do members of the Callis Family not have to change their last name to Callis? Just wondering. Anyway, the Murderhawk Monster, Lance Archer returns to ROH by himself for the first time since beating up Crowbar last month. This time, he was looking to beat up Diego Hill who… has neat pants, I guess?

Archer got caught with a kick off the top and started bleeding, leading him to quote the classic movie Dodgeball and exclaim “nobody makes me bleed my own blood!” That was about the end of Hill’s offense as one can probably imagine.

The talkative Archer proclaimed “you done messed up now” as he pummeled HIll, actually attempting to bend him in half in some kind of reverse crab hold. Hill tapped out and Archer didn’t even wait for the music to stop before hitting him with a Blackout for good measure.

Match Result: Lance Archer defeated Diego Hill

-Next a vingette aired announcing the return next week of ROH’s Forever Champ, Women’s World Champion Athena.

ROH Pure Title Match: Lee Moriarty (c) (w/Shawn Dean) defeated Matt Mako

Up next was a surprise ROH Pure Title Match between Matt Mako and ROH Pure Champion Lee Moriarty. This match was from ACTION DEAN~!!!2, an event in honor of Dean Rasmussen, who passed away in 2023. The match took place on May 24th, 2025 as part of the ACTION/ROH Youtube special.

The match started off a little strange for Moriarty, who was forced to use two of his rope breaks within the first 1:44 of the match. He also went for the Border City stretch very early, forcing Mako to use his first rope break at 2:32.

Mako clearly studied Moriarty and seemed to have everything scouted pretty well. he was able to reverse or deflect most of what Moriarty threw at him, but used up his second rope break at 3:25.

The only rough part of the match was that it took place outside at night in Waterdance Plaza in Glendale, Arizona. It looked like kind of a Times Square type place, but the only outdoor lighting was from big LED signs. So it was hard to see the match at times as the ring was flooded with red and blue lights every few minutes.

As the match passed its halfway mark, it was a pretty even affair. Mako changed tactics and tried to over power Moriarty with some big strikes and spinning kicks. Moriarty held on though luring Mako into the corner and dropping him on his face. A second Border City Stretch (complete with hand stomps) forced Mako to use his last rope break at 7:14.

Mako locked in an armbar at 8:44 causing Moriarty to use up the last rope break of the match. With time ticking away, Mako tried to put Moriarty down with a quick rollup into a rear choke, but Moriarty locked in a third Border City Stretch that Mako had to tap out of because he was out of rope breaks.

Killer match though!!

Match Result: ROH Pure Champion Lee Moriarty (w/Shawn Dean) defeated Matt Mako

Torneo Cibernetico Ten Man Elimination Match: Blue Panther, Hologram, Neon, Valiente & Virus defeat Averno, Dr. Cerebro, Euforia, Volador Jr. & Xelhua

Up next was more surprise action from ACTION DEAN~!!!2: a Toreno Cibernetico match! What’s that you ask? No idea. But that’s what Wikipedia is for!

The match format sees two teams of varying sizes face off against each other. It uses standard lucha libre tag team rules with elimination occurring with a pinfall, submission, disqualification and count out and allows a wrestler to enter the match when their tag team partner exits the ring as well as when they tag out. A special ‘batting’ order system is used in which the wrestlers are given a specific order and may only tag in and out in this order.

So there you go. I had no idea what to expect in this match, but I like Luchadores and I like a lot of them, so I was excited to see how this played out.

For the first ten minutes or so, it was pure luchadore madness. In spite of the allegedly organized manner of the match and the aforementioned lighting issues, it was very, very hard for anyone watching, including the commentary team, to keep track of who was in the ring against who. They were great about calling out eliminations though, so I kept up as best I could.

Virus survived Blue Panther, Dr Cerebro and managed to eliminate Xelhua (via tapout) before being eliminated himself by Euforia. Volodor Jr entered after that and the tags started flying. Hologram entered to a big ovation and showed why he’s a star against Averno before a huge brawl broke out.

Volador Jr. managed to eliminate Valiente via backbreaker into pinfall before Hologram & Neon jumped in and teamed up to eliminate Euforia after dueling top rope stomps and moonsaults, bringing the match down to 3-on-3.

Next, Blue Panther eliminated Dr. Cerebro with a move that seemed to even surprise him, but that brought in Neon who battled Averno, but found himself eliminated after Averno hit a big facebuster from the top rope.

That left Blue Panther & Hologram against Averno & Volador Jr. They hit a superplex on Panther from the top rope, but Hologram broke up the double pin attempt. Panter returned the favor a few minutes later, saving Hologram.

Panther and Hologram then double eliminated Volador Jr and Averno. Panther eliminating Averno with the move he used earlier to eliminate Dr Cerebro and Hologram used a spinning blue thunder bomb to pin Volador Jr.

Match Result: Blue Panther, Hologram, Neon, Valiente & Virus defeated Averno, Dr. Cerebro, Euforia, Volador Jr. & Xelhua

Wow., Just incredible, but I have to say, after this match I have new appreciation for those “RAW” and “SMACKDOWN” t-shirts that teams wore in Survivor Series a few years back. It was really hard to tell who was who on what team, but damn, was it fun to watch. Definitely check it out on Youtube if can!

Satnam Singh defeated Facade

Back in the ROH arena, and because a Lance Archer squash just wasn’t enough beating up of a little guy by a big guy, Satnam Singh was up next. What can be said about Singh that hasn’t already been said? He’s huge. He was one half of the AAA World Tag Team Champions with the one and only Raj Dhesi (fka WWE Champion Jinder Mahal). He’s going to probably murder Facade. That’s all you need to know, really.

Singh threw Facade around and pie faced him in the corner for a bit before chopping him hard enough that the first row felt it. He did that a few more times before throwing him across the ring, literally. From post to post.

Facade managed to get a quick chinbreaker on Singh, who simply shrugged it off and threw Facade at the ground a few times until he stopped moving. Singh made the pin and that was it.

Singh is very fun to watch, but like a lot of big men he needs someone to feud with that can bring something different out of him.

Match Result: Satnam Singh defeated Facade

Hologram & Rhino defeated The Frat House (Cole Karter & Griff Garrison) (w/Jacked Jameson & Preston Vance)

The mysterious and enigmatic Hologram made his second appearance on the show, which was his ROH debut with this match. Try not to think about that too much.

Hologram has taken on stalwarts like Blake Christian and Max Castor up in AEW and even had a win over the dreaded Beast Mortos. His partner needs no introduction. He’s Rhino. If you don’t know of any of Rhino’s myriad of accomplishments in pro wrestling, stop now and do some Googling. Their opponents are local jerkbags, The Frat House. As always, it will be a pleasure watching these guys get punched in their various mouths.

Garrison started things off against Hologram which was really fun as they both have similar fast-moving styles. Hologram got the better of Garrison until he got caught in a headlock. Garrison couldn’t hang onto Hologram long though as Hologram put on a show.

Garrison tagged in Karter who waited until Hologram’s back was turned to jump him. Hologram tagged in Rhino though to a massive ovation. Rhino did was Rhino does which is scrunch up his face and beat the ever-loving heck out of whoever is in front of him. In this case, Karter.

Vance and Jameson saved Karter from a Gore by pulling him outside and giving him a chance to regroup. Garrison tried to help but ate a superkick from Hologram. Jameson tried to cause a distraction, which allowed Vance to pull Hologram out and deliver a few stiff shots before sending him back in.

The dust settled and Karter and Hologram were the legal men. Hologram ran into Karter’s high knee, but hit a Spanish Fly to retaliate. Hot tags were made and Rhino and Garrison charged in, with Garrison eating a big belly-to-belly suplex.

Hologram dove out of the ring and got a 3-for-1, taking out Vance, Jameson and Karter. In the ring, Garrison tried to use the pledge paddle on Rhino, but left himself open for a Gore straight from this history books. Rhino made the pin, and the Frat house was defeated.

Match Result: Hologram & Rhino defeat The Frat House (Cole Karter & Griff Garrison)

Great episode!!

Ring of Honor TV live results: Deonna Purrazzo in action, Jay Lethal vs. Atlantis Jr.

With the upcoming inaugural Women’s Ring of Honor Pure Championship tournament, Pure rules will be showcased on this week’s special Friday edition of ROH TV on HonorClub and YouTube.

Tournament participant Deonna Purrazzo will be in action in a Pure rules bout against Ashley Vox while another tournament competitor — Leila Grey — will take on Marina Shafir of the Death Riders in a traditional rules match.

Former ROH Men’s TV Champion Atlantis Jr. will battle former ROH World Champion Jay Lethal.

Blake Christian & Lee Johnson will team up against the Spanish Announce Team’s Serpentico & Angelico.

**********

Its a special day for Ring of Honor, coming at you with Episode 115 of ROH on Honorclub! With a pair of Proving Ground matches, a Pure Rules bout and two ROH Legends going head to head, it promised to be very special indeed!

Atlantis Jr. defeated Jay Lethal

Even if you’re not aware of the lengthy ROH history that Atlantis and Lethal have built for themselves, who wouldn’t want to see this match? Atlantis was the ROH World Television champion up until a few weeks ago when he lost said ROH TV title on AEW TV. Lethal is a Grand Slam Champion in ROH, with World, Tag, Pure and TV title reigns under his belt. His lineage in ROH goes all the way back to 2002, so this is definitely home for Lethal

Atlantis Jr is actually undefeated in singles bouts in ROH. Which makes total sense when you think about him winning and losing the ROH TV Title. A code of honor was shared between these two heavy hitters and the match was on.

Lethal seemed a bit back on his heels early on as Atlantis’ speed seemed to get the best of him. Lethal bailed to the outside and Atlantis followed with a suicide dive into the barricade. Atlantis seemed in complete control, moving slowly but steadily until Lethal reversed and armdrag into a hip-toss dropkick.

Lethal went up to the top rope for his big elbow drop, but Atlantis was wiggling around too much and he couldn’t find a good angle from three of the four turnbuckles. Atlantis climbed up and grabbed Lethal into a superplex, knocking Lethal silly.

Lethal fought back though and hooked Atlantis into a figure four leg lock. Atlantis managed to wiggle his way to the rope to break the hold. Lethal continued to work the knee though, delivering some stiff kicks to Atlantis before attempting a Lethal Injection. Atlantis caught him though and Lethal tried again, but Atlantis had it scouted and hit a powerslam.

Atlantis nailed a frog splash from the top rope and that was it. He got the pin 1-2-3.

Match Result: Atlantis Jr. defeated Jay Lethal

Marina Shafir defeated Leila Grey

Shafir has been running around with a little group you may have heard of called the Death Riders. I don’t know if that means I can still make “problem” jokes at her expense, but regardless she is a big problem for Grey. These women are set to participate in the ROH Women’s Pure Tournament when it starts up and would make a heck of a first round match. Just saying, booking people.

The bell rang and as with most Shafir matches, so she controlled the pace from the start. Grey was caught completely off guard by the no-nonsense Shafir style. Grey kept making mistakes by posing for the crowd, allowing Shafir to kick her to death.

Grey never really recovered, taking everything Shafir dished out, including kicks and judo throws. Shafir couldn’t get the three count though as Grey got the shoulder up at the last second every time. Shafir locked in a really crazy half-crab stretch, but left Grey’s leg unattended so she was able to wriggle out.

Grey tried to fight back, but Shafir no-sold every strike. Grey tried a rolling neckbreaker and shotgun dropkick, but Shafir didn’t even leave her feet. She slammed Grey to the mat and locked in the Mother’s Milk submission, causing Grey to tap out.

Match Result: Marina Shafir defeated Leila Grey

Blake Christian & Lee Johnson defeated Spanish Announce Project (Angelico & Serpentico)

I’m just going to come right out and say it: Blake Christian is a bad influence on that nice Lee Johnson. His mom should really talk to Christian’s mom about the path Christian is walking and the trouble he can get Johnson into! After losing via the dreaded numbers game to the Frat House last week, nice boys Angelico and Serpentico just wanted to have a nice, fun, laid back match, but with that dastardly Christian around, it was bound to get somewhat chippy.

Angelico and Christian kicked things off and Christian set the tone by kicking away the Code of Honor. From there it was an oddly slow exchange. Christian held Angelico in a wristlock for what seemed like 10 minutes (it wasn’t, but time has no meaning).

Angelico picked up the pace with some good old fashioned punches to the face, which brought Serpentico in to work a double team. Johnson caught a blind tag and took down Serpentico, giving Christian an opening to spear him on his way to the corner.

Even though it was their first time teaming together, Johnson and Christian worked really well together. They set each other up for moves as if they had done it a hundred times before. They then started messing with Serpentico’s mask, which made me think that Serpentico might want to get less cool masks because someone seems to always been trying to steal his.

Angelico tagged in and cleared house for his partner. Angelico’s lankiness has always been a strength and he was able to wind and dodge around Johnson, setting him up for a Snakebomb from the top rope from Serpentico.

Angelico got planted by Christian and tossed to the outside. Serpentico avenged him with a monkey flip. He tried it again on Johnson, but got caught in a super destroyer from the top rope. Johnson pinned Serpentico and that was that.

Match Result: Blake Christian & Lee Johnson defeated Spanish Announce Project (Angelico & Serpentico)

Pure Rules Match: Deonna Purrazzo defeated Ashley Vox

With the ROH Women’s Pure Championship Tournament about to kick off, Purazzo and Vox get a bit of a warm up and the audience got a bit of a reminder how Pure Rules matches work. In case you missed it, the match has a ten minute time limit and each competitor gets 3 rope breaks. Once those are exhausted, a person can be submitted or pinned even if they get to the ropes. Competitors also get one warning for a closed fist and a second instance is a DQ. This would actually be the first ever Women’s Pure Rules match, which is a nice bit of history.

The clock started ticking as the two women locked up. Purrazzo seemed to have the confidence as they traded wristlocks. Purrazzo dragged Vox to the ground and locked in a hold forcing Vox to use the rope at 1:36. Purrazzo strong armed her way out of a fishook hold next as Vox tried everything she could.

Purrazzo dropped the finesse at that point and clubbed Vox down to the mat. She tied up Vox with a hammer lock into a half-crab. vox used her second rope break at 3:25 to get out of it. Purrazzo followed that up with a single arm DDT.

A lariat got Purrazzo a two-count, and then she hit a powerbomb into a Venus De Milo hold. Vox was way to far away to use her final rope break and was forced to tap. Purrazzo becomes the first woman to win a Pure Rules match in ROH history.

Match Result: Deonna Purrazzo defeated Ashley Vox

-Backstage, Queen Aminata talked to the camera about how she has learned so much during her time in ROH. She assured us that she will out-work every other woman in the Pure Tournament. At this point they had talked a LOT about the Tournament but never really mentioned when it was due to start.

ROH Women’s World Television Title Proving Ground Match: Red Velvet [c] defeated Laynie Luck

Red Velvet has held the ROH Women’s TV Championship for 287 days as of this writing. In that time, she’s had some great matches but virtually no one has come close to taking the title from her. Luck is currently the Glory Pro Women’s World Crown Champion and has been for 194 days. Winning this Proving Ground match would give her a shot at being a double champion, which seems like a lot, but I’m told is really great for nicknames and stuff.

Velvet got the drop on Luck off the top with a tight headlock. Luck wormed out and responded with a shoulder tackle and gator roll suplex, which woke the crowd up. Luck blocked a casa dora from Velvet, who slid out of the ring to regroup. Luck tried a baseball slide, but got wrapped up in the ring apron, allowing Velvet to regain control.

Velvet then landed a meteora to the back of the head of Luck and used her boxing skills to pepper Luck with shots. The time was ticking away though and Velvet seemed to be unaware of it as she laid in a choke in the corner.

Luck battled back with a snap Spiccoli driver that looked absolutely devastating. It only got her a two count though. Velvet came back with a twisting neckbreaker and that was enough to put Luck away and give Velvet the win.

Match Result: Red Velvet [c] defeated Laynie Luck

Satnam Singh defeated Lord Crewe

In case you missed it, Satnam Singh is big. Like, really big. He stands at 7’2” and weighs over 300lbs. That gives him an ability to move that most men of his height don’t have. Crewe was last seen on ROH back in January when he was chewed up and spit out by The Beast Mortos. Crew is not a small man, but even at 6’3” he still gives up a foot of vertical to Singh. If these two don’t break the ring, it should be a fun match!

The two locked up and Singh honestly made Crewe look like a small child. He threw him into the corner like a ragdoll and chopped him so hard I think they heard it in Texas, where AEW is holding All In, in case you didn’t know or missed the 13 promos for it during this episode.

Singh then picked up Crewe by the beard and threw him across the ring. Crewe tried to fight back, coming in off the ropes to try and get the big man off his feet.

Spoiler: He didn’t.

Singh picked up Crewe and dropped him on his head before landing a 12-foot chokeslam to get the victory.

Match Result: Satnam Singh defeated Lord Crewe

ROH World Title Proving Ground Match: Bandido [c] defeated Gringo Loco

Bless Bandido and his actually defending the ROH World Championship on ROH TV. It’s a small thing, but it really makes the show more exciting when the champions are working the shows they are champions of. Loco is no slouch either. He’s currently the Warrior Wrestling Lucha Champion and the Demand Royal Canadian Tag Team Champion (with Arez as Los Desperados). So this should be a super fun lucha fest! (Also the name of my J-pop band).

The crowd was firmly behind the champion, chanting his name as he got his gear off and the match began. Loco was the bigger of the two, but he moved like a man half his size. The two dove and twisted with each other before pausing for a brief dance off. This was entertaining, but since there’s a 10-minute time limit on these Proving Ground matches, didn’t seem very prudent.

Bandido matched Loco’s strength with a huge hit on the outside and celebrated with the crowd, again wasting more and more time and giving Loco a bit of an advantage.

Back in the ring, Loco hit a dropkick and got a two count before heading to the top rope to hit a bouncing split legged splash on Bandido. From there, he chopped the champion to the mat again and again. Loco caught Bandido in midair and hit a powerbomb as the mid-point of the match passed by.

Bandido landed an around the world DDT and he jumped to the top rope for a picture perfect frog splash, but Loco kicked out at two. Bandido bounced off the ropes, but Loco turned him inside out with a superkick. Loco dragged Bandido to the top turnbuckle for what appeared to be an inverted Angle slam from the top rope, but again Bandido kicked out at two.

“This is awesome” chants began to rain down as Bandido joined Loco on the top turnbuckle again. Bandidio hit a super-rana on him followed by a shining wizard and that was it for Loco. Just under the time wire, Bandido got the win in an absolutely killer match.

Match Result: Bandido [c] defeated Gringo Loco

Ring of Honor TV live results: Red Velvet vs. La Catalina, Mina Shirakawa returns

Ring of Honor Women’s TV Champion Red Velvet will return to action for the first time since January on tonight’s HonorClub show.

Velvet will put her title on the line against CMLL’s La Catalina who earned the title shot earlier this month. Velvet will be looking for her seventh title defense as a full year as titleholder looms on the horizon.

Mina Shirakawa will make her return stateside as an AEW contracted wrestler as she battles Leila Grey.

MxM Collection & Johnny TV will continue their trios run as they will be in action.

In tag team action, Serpentico & Angelico team up against Cole Karter & Griff Garrison.

**********

It’s another Thursday and another episode of ROH on Honorclub! This was episode #114 for those scoring at home and kicked off with a big return!

Mina Shirakawa defeated Leila Grey

Shirakawa was last seen in ROH in August of 2024 and has been predominantly hanging out in Stardom ever since. Her return took place against Leila Grey, who may or may not still be a flight attendant, and picked up a win against Lady frost in her last ROH appearance.

Shirakawa is fantastic to watch in the ring (in spite of some quesitonable entrance music). Grey has been climbing the ladder in ROH, getting better with each match and still managing to make time to hang out with Top Flight. Shirakawa had an edge in speed, but Grey was able to keep up with her.

Grey got the first near fall and caught Shirakawa looking with a running neckbreaker. Shirakawa had a smile on her face the whole time though, using the ropes to her advantage with several springboard strikes. She also worked Grey’s knee over a bunch, trying to keep Grey off her feet.

There was a lot of dancing between moves, as well. A lot.

Shirakawa almost got Grey with a slingblade off the top rope that was really impressive. From there she went back to working Grey’s knee, but Grey fought back with a shotgun dropkick. Shirakawa got Grey into a figure four though, wrenching that softened up knee. Grey struggled to get out of it, but in the end had to tap.

Match Result: Mina Shirakawa defeated Leila Grey

MxM Collection (Mansoor & Madden) and Johnny TV defeated Rosario Grillo, Cameron Russell and Alan Russell

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again; MxM and Johnny TV are a match made in heaven. They are like peanut butter & jelly, bronzer and spray tans, hair gel and… well, hair. They have to be worrisome to the ROH Six-Man Champions, Dustin Rhodes and the Von Erichs, and not just because they keep stealing belts.

Grillo and Mansoor kicked things off with a Tip-Touch of Honor. Immediately, Mansoor asked aloud “Why am I doing this?” and tagged in the much bigger Madden. Madden took Grillo so seriously, he didn’t even bother to take off his sunglasses.

Alan tagged in next, but Madden made short, short work of him. Madden dragged Alan to the corner, isolating him in the corner and tagging in TV. TV and Mansoor double teamed him with chops and stomps. Madden used some butt-based offense to knock Alan across the ring and MxMxTV all posed in the ring.

TV went up top, but missed the mark, allowing Alan to tag in Cameron who battled with Mansoor. From there, MxMxTV just collectively beat up their opponents. Eventually, they landed a Super Centerfold and executed a triple pin for the win.

Match Result: MxM Collection (Mansoor & Madden) and Johnny TV defeated Rosario Grillo, Cameron Russell and Alan Russell

ROH Women’s World TV Champion Red Velvet defeated La Catalina

As of this writing, Red Velvet has held the ROH Women’s TV title for 279 days. Not too shabby when you consider she’s only the second person to hold the title, after Billie Starkz. Velvet put Ashley Vox down in under 5 minutes in a Proving Ground match last week and this week takes on #1 Contender La Catalina, who beat Taya Valkyrie for the honor.

These two are both really good at what they do. Velvet had the veteran’s edge, but Catalina wrestles a luchadore hybrid style that Velvet hadn’t faced before. Catalina was able to roll her up out of nowhere quite often in the opening minutes.

Once Velvet was able to get Catalina out of the ring though, we saw her toughness. On the outside Catalina brought a straight up slugfest until Velvet got the upper hand and wrapped her knee around the ringpost.

Catalina hit a huge fisherwoman’s suplex and came within a half-second of becoming the champion. Velvet stayed in it though, even through a shotgun dropkick from the top rope and a big electric chair.

Catalina went up top for her signature splash, but Velvet climbed the ropes and brought her down and put her into a vicious half-crab hold. Catalina struggled to get to the ropes, but couldn’t last when Velvet grabbed the rope for leverage. Catalina tapped and Velvet retains the title.

Match Result: ROH Women’s World TV Champion Red Velvet defeated La Catalina

The Frat House (Griff Garrison & Cole Karter w/Preston Vance & Jacked Jameson) defeated Spanish Announce Project (Angelico & Serpentico)

In another universe, I feel like The Frat House and Spanish Announce Project probably attended a lot of the same house parties in high school. They hung out on different floors of the house, but were still there. SAP took a loss last week as one half of a team with The Kingdom in an 8-man battle and The Frat House picked up a trios win a couple of weeks ago and have probably started eyeing the titles held by Dustin Rhodes and The Von Erichs. Mainly to use as beer coasters, I presume.

The Frat offered up some red solo cups of Honor, but immediately threw their contents in SAP’s face. SAP responded by kicking their butts, leaving Karter alone in the ring for some double teaming. Angelico bowed out and Serpentico went one-on-one with Garrison, who had quickly tagged in.

Serpentico took out both Garrison and Karter with a dive through the ropes while Jameson and Vance… watched? Serpentico tried to go high, but Karter pulled him off the turnbuckle, sending him into the Frat Corner, where all four got their shots in.

The Frat House took control from there, with Garrison and Karter trading quick tags to hit Serpentico with a succession of moves. They threw him out of the ring and Vance and Jameson added their two cents as well.

Off of a hot tag, Angelico finally returned to the match, clearing the ring of Frat-people. Garrison got back in and the two collided in a double cross-body. That left Serpentico and Karter in the ring, and Jameson tried to hit on the ref at ringside. That let Vance get a few shots in on Serpentico, softening him up for Karter to get the pin through nefarious means.

Match Result: The Frat House (Griff Garrison & Cole Karter w/Preston Vance & Jacked Jameson) defeated Spanish Announce Project (Angelico & Serpentico)

After the match, the Frat House beat up SAP in the ring, trying to steal Serpentico’s mask again. That brought out ROH World Champion Bandido who picked apart the Frat House, clocking Vance specifically with the title belt. SAP Got to their feet and the three hugged in the ring.

Ring of Honor TV live results: NJPW stars return

Several NJPW stars will be part of tonight’s Ring of Honor on HonorClub — a show that will also feature a men’s TV title defense.

In a non-title match, NEVER Openweight Champion Shingo Takagi will battle Ariya Daivari in Takagi’s first match for the promotion since June 2023.

NJPW men’s Strong Openweight Champion Gabe Kidd will battle Angelico in non-title action. It’s Kidd’s second ROH match and first since October’s title defense over Anthony Henry.

Tomohiro Ishii will face Mike Bennett as he looks to keep momentum going ahead of his challenge of ROH World Champion Chris Jericho Wednesday.

Kevin Knight will make his ROH debut as he faces Serpentico.

ROH men’s TV Champion Brian Cage defends against AR Fox while ROH Women’s World Champion Athena will also be in action, taking on Leila Grey in a Proving Ground match.

Shane Taylor & ROH Pure Champion Lee Moriarty will face JD Drake & Beef while The Righteous will make an appearance.

**********

All right, friends! You know the drill: Thursday, Ring of Honor, Honorclub. Now let’s get to the fights!

NJPW STRONG Openweight Champion Gabe Kidd defeated Angelico

KIdd brings to ROH the NJPW STRONG Openweight title, which you know is important because it has a lot of CAPITAL LETTERS. He retained that title against Anthony Henry on episode #85 of ROH on Honorclub back in October. Angelico would love to add that title to his collection, but sadly, this was a non-title match. No worries though, he’s cool.

Kidd started things off just like his title; strong. He rained down chops, shoves, kicks and stomps on Angelico. It wasn’t until Angelico managed to duck a lariat and deliver his own clotheslines that he got some offence in. Once he got moving though, Kidd seemed confused b the fluid style of Angelico. A punch to the face fixed that and brought the match back under Kidd’s control.

Kid launched himself at Angelico and managed to fold him up like an accordion. 1-2-3 and it was over, Kidd wins, and delivered a parting kick to the head for good measure.

Shane Taylor Promotions (Lee Moriarty & Shane Taylor) defeated BEEF & JD Drake

STP beat up a lot of people a couple of weeks ago. After adding The Infantry and Trish Adora to their ranks, they brawled with some nameless NPC’s in the back, and made their intentions to take the ROH tag belts away from Dustin Rhodes and Sammy Guevara vary, very clear. BEEF and Drake (which sounds like an excellent dinner special at a mid-sized pub) have been reluctantly teaming together since BEEF’s 2nd cousin and Drake’s normal tag partner Anthony Henry got hurt.

Moriarty and Taylor are an excellent team. They both have a particular set of skills that perfectly compliment each other. Drake started off against Taylor, but tagged BEEF in fairly quickly. The crowd was chanting for BEEF, but Taylor’s experience level was too much for him and Taylor sat him down hard.

This match was interesting in that it featured a lot more yelling at each other than a normal match would. Taylor’s trash talk is legendary, but BEEF was able to get a few shots in verbally too. Moriarty tagged in and matched up with Drake, who brought the chops until Taylor made a blind tag and clotheslined Drake into next week.

Taylor and Drake stood each other up and spent about 60 seconds just hitting one another. Not wrestling, just a brawl, and it was awesome. Drake got a hot tag to BEEF who fed some right hands to Moriarty. BEEF hit a big bulldog (or BEEFdog, as they kept calling it) and drake tagged in to slam Moriarty. Drake missed a big splash from the top and Taylor tagged in got a big splash on Drake to get the pin.

After the match, Top Flight jumped in and all of STP laid a beating on Drake and BEEF. Suddenly, they were interrupted by the Undisputed Kingdom of all people! Bennett and Taven ran off STP and jawed at them as the helped BEEF and Drake to their feet.

-The Righteous cut a promo from an undisclosed location. Dutch read a poem to Dustin Rhodes, his “long-lost brother.” He talked about how Rhodes’ father Dusty had loved him like a son. Soon, the Righteous will take those tag titles, and then everyone will know who Dusty really thought of as his son.

Kevin Knight defeated Serpentico

Kevin Knight (who I discovered quickly is NOT my cousin of the same name) has been hanging out in NJPW for the last couple of years with a guy named KUSHIDA. This would be his ROH debut, and who better to go up against than the Laid-Back Luchadore, Serpentico? Last week he and his SAP partner Angelico picked up a win (and Angelico a singles loss this week) and a singles victory would be icing on the very delicious cake.

Knight had a bit of a size adventage on Serpentico, buy you can never count Serpentico out (unless he leaves the ring for 20 seconds. But that didn’t happen). Anyway, it was a fast one off the top with Knight showing why his nickname is “the Jet” and Serpentico keeping up in a neon green blur.

Serpentico laid in a bunch of SuperPunches on Knight in the corner, but couldn’t put him away. Knight fought back and took Serpentico’s head off with a lariat. Knight hit a sky high slam followed by a running frog splash that was really impressive. Knight hit one hell of a kick (clearly inspired by Sami Zayn) and follow it up with a big clothesline to put Serpentico down for the count.

Tomohiro Ishii defeated Mike Bennett

You have to go all the way back to May of this year to find Bennett’s last singles match, which was a loss to Matt Menard. Since then, he’s been a big part of the Undisputed Kingdom stable, winning (and losing) the ROH Tag Titles and warring with The Conglomeration. Said Conglomeration features the membership of Tomohiro Ishii, so these two know each other well. Ishii has a date with Chris Jericho for the ROH title in the wings on Dynamite, so this was a heck of a warmup.

Ishii refused a code of honor from Bennett and the two locked up. Ishii had the power, but Bennett was able to match it as they two traded chops for what seemed like 45 minutes. It was actually about 5 though, as Ishii nailed Bennett with a shoulder and sent him into the corner. Bennett fought back with a lariat and knocked Ishii off his feet.

Bennett hit Ishii with a spear, but it seemed to hurt him more than Ishii. A big spinebuster followed that, but Ishii kicked out at two. Bennett tried to go up top but Ishii caught him and put him in a stalling suplex from the top rope. Ishii went for a brain buster and that was it for Bennett. Ishii nailed it and got the pin.

ROH CLASSIC MATCH: Jay Briscoe & Mark Briscoe vs. Katsuhiko Nakajima & Kensuke Sasaki (Final Battle 2008, December 27, 2008)

The attempted to give a reason for showing this match that made sense in-story, but it did not work. I’m pretty sure they showed this classic ROH match because it’s someone in production’s favourite match. That’s not a bad thing, mind you because it was a very, very good match! It deserves to be the favourite of the guy in production! Anyway, back in the here and now:

Shingo Takagi defeated Ariya Daivari

Takagi spent a lot of time in ROH between 2005-2008, but has only made a handful of appearances since then, choosing NJPW as his home where he’s done, well, just about everything. His last ROH match was in 2023 as part of a 6-man affair against pre-crisis Cage of Agony, The Mogul Embassy (Bishop Kaun, Brian Cage & Toa Liona). Daivari has been having mixed singles results lately, having lost to Tomohio Ishii, Komander and Sammy Guevara. With Mark Sterling in tow, Daivari and the Premier Athletes as a whole, needed a win here.

Daivari’d have his work cut out for him though with the much larger Takagi standing across the ring. Trying to outpower him did not work as Takagi returned everything Daivari threw at him with gusto. Even a cheap shot from behind that sent Takagi out of the ring didn’t really seem to do much to hurt him.

Daivari relied on his technical skills to work the arm of Takagi, taking away his big lariat. Takagi fought back though, drawing his second wind from the turnbuckle. He peppered Daivari with massive elbows, both front and back. Takagi went for a pumphandle slam but Sterling caused a distraction, letting Daivari hit a hammerlock DDT.

Daivari tried a clutch, but Takagi fought out of it and delivered a DDT of his own. Daivari ascaped up the ropes and tried a frog splash, but Takagi wasn’t done. On pure instinct he hit a massive lariat and then Last of The Dragon, a truly terrifying finisher, to get the pin.

PROVING GROUND MATCH: ROH Women’s World Champion Athena defeated Leila Grey

For those just joining us, this was a Proving Ground match. If Grey could pin the champion or last to a 10-minute time limit, she would get a shot at the ROH Women’s World Championship at a later date. Athena retained her title in October against Abadon, but there are plenty of women waiting in the wings to try and dethrone the Forever Champion, including disgruntled Minion in Training, Billie Starkz.

Athena took things with her usual seriousness, playing with Grey’s hair and running around the ring like an airplane. Grey jumped on this underestimation though, and got a couple of near falls off of some hard-hitting offense, and then sending Athena to the outside.

Athena turned the tables there, sending Grey’s face into the steel steps. Athena returned to the ring and Grey followed, right into the hands of the Champion with over three minutes gone in the match. All Grey had to do was last seven more minutes and she would get her title shot.

Grey started to pick up steam, hitting a bulldog that Athena kicked out of at two-and-three-quarters. Athena then started to bring out the big guns. Handspring slams in the corner, big power slams and lariats. She went to the top rope for the O Face, but Grey beat her to it and hit a sunset bomb from the top rope!

Time was running out though and Athena resorted to raking eyes and drawing Grey into a triangle choke. Grey lasted a few seconds, but was forced to tap before time ran out, dashing her hopes of a title match.

ROH WORLD TELEVISION TITLE MATCH: Brian Cage ( c) defeated AR Fox

In the Main Event: AR Fox has actually been on something of a roll in ROH the last couple months. He’s posted wins over Jack Cartwheel and Josh Woods and was part of a few tag victories as well. This is enough to earn him a shot a Brian Cage’s ROH World TV Title. This will mark Cage’s second defense of the belt, as he retained vs Komander a few weeks ago and has been hanging out with the Don Callis Family ever since. He even brought a Lance Archer with him!

Cage, in a very subdued outfit compared to his usual gear, was the same height as Fox, but about twice as wide. In a normal situation, this would be a case of Speed vs Strength, but as anyone who’s seen him wrestle knows, Cage has just as much speed as he does strength.

Fox tried everything he could including a Shooting Star Press and then a full moonsault onto Cage on the outside. Cage was resilient though, getting to his feet every time. Fox let Cage get to close, and got his eyes raked for his trouble. Cage moved into a series of power moves and suplexes to knock Fox silly.

Cage did some bicep curls with Fox, ending his set with a slam. From there, Cage tried a simple chin lock to wear down the challenger. Fox battled back though, hanging Cage up in the ropes. Fox pulled an Elix Skipper and matrix-dodged a big lariat. Cage looked a little sluggish at this point as Fox hit a DDT.

Cage managed to catch fox and hit a blue thunder pumphandle bomb. He tried to lock in a reverse cloverleaf, but Fox was able to get to the ropes. Fox responded with a Code red, but only got the two count. Fox then hit Cage with a spiccoli driver followed by a big 450 splash. Somehow, Cage kicked out though.

Fox set Cage up on the top rope, but Cage swatted him down and hit a satellite DDT, followed by a series of powerbombs, but still, Fox kicked out. Cage hit a discus lariat and a brainbuster and that finally put Fox on his back and out of his misery. Excellent match though! Excellent show!

**********

To open the show, the card was run down and then Athena ran down! To the ring, that is.

ROH Women’s World Champion Athena defeated Viva Van in a Proving Ground match

With both women in the ring, this was a Proving Ground match where Van had to last 10 minutes, or pin the Champion in order to secure a future title shot.

Athena was confident off the top though, taunting and teasing Van, even going so far as to offer up a vintage “test of strength.” Van held her own and gave as good as she got, with a tight armbreaker, forcing Athena out of the ring.

Back inside, Athena tried to put Van away quick with a heavy kick to the head, but was beginning to lose sight of the clock, which ticked away. There wasn’t a lot of urgency in Athena’s movements, but they worked and she held control through most of the match.

Eventually, Athena great tired of toying with Van and clubbed her down for the 1, 2, 3.

ROH World Tag Team Champions The Undisputed Kingdom (Mike Bennett & Matt Taven) defeated Nick Comoroto & Jacoby Watts in a Proving Ground match

Following that up was the second Proving Ground Match of the night. Comoroto and Watts needed to pin, or wrestle the champions to a 10 minute draw to lock in a shot at the ROH Tag Team titles.

Comoroto gave two really nice Code of Honor handshakes to his opponents and the match began. Comoroto was the biggest guy in the ring and his heavy strikes worked well against the smaller Taven. Comoroto tried to tag Watts, but Watts convinced him that he could handle it without him, which was interesting.

Taven did gat a tag though and Bennett entered to knock Comoroto around. Comoroto fought back though, keeping both Bennett and Taven on their heels. Watts again convinced Comoroto he didn’t need to tag him in, and Bennett scooped him up for a spiccoli driver to get the win. Watts never even entered the match and yelled at Comoroto after the match, manipulating Comoroto into cheering for him.

Serpentico defeated Brady Roberts

A solo outing for Serpentico this week to debut a new mask. Also debuting this week, Brady Roberts, his opponent.

Both competitors were about the same size, so it was a fast-paced match with lots of really smooth action. Roberts had the upper hand several times in the match, including a really tough looking knee to Serpentico’s back. A terrific surfboard (literally) had Serpentico face down and close to tapping as well.

Serpentico came back though with some devastating chops in the corners. Despite Roberts’ 5-star effort, he fell victim to a bulldog which allowed Serpentico to hit a big senton and get the pin.

-Marina Schafir was interviewed in the back by Lexi Nair. They discussed Shafir being a problem that no one in ROH can solve. Shafir mentioned that if you don’t take care of a problem, it gets worse.

Red Velvet defeated Kel

Velvet entered to a good cheer from the crowd. Kel was a former basketball player and was several inches taller than Velvet. Her inexperience was a factor though, and Velvet was able to keep her off her feet, cutting out the advantage.

Velvet kept Kel on the mat with a series of shoulderblocks and knees. Eventually, she wore her down and picked up the pin.

Suddenly though, Athena’s music hit. Velvet turned to face her and fell victim to a sneak attack from Billie Starkz. Starkz bashed Velvet’s face into the ROH Women’s TV Title belt, knocking her out. Starkz bolted as the Ref attended to Velvet in the ring.

Zak Knight defeated Sebastian Wolfe

The undefeated Knight is having a great run through ROH and on Rampage as well. Knight took his time getting his gear off for the match, frustrating the crowd and his opponent.

Knight immediately tossed Wolfe to the mat and rained blows down on him. Wolfe fought back and tried to chop Knight, but had little to no effect. Kinght pounded and kicked Wolfe in the corner, making this seem way more like a bar fight than a match.

Knight hit a big stalling suplex, got the two count and yanked Wolfe up. He tossed him around a hit him with a massive lariat for another 2- count and pull up. Finally Knight laid a knock out punch on Wolfe and allowed the three count.

Lee Johnson defeated Aaron Solo and Action Andretti in a Three-Way Match

Johnson, Solo and Andretti are something like three sides of the same triangle in the squared-circle, so this match had a high-energy feel from the start.

Solo tried to get the jump on his opponents via fake sportsmanship, but it backfired and Andretti sent him out of the ring. Johnson and Andretti traded moves until Solo rejoined them. He was quickly superkicked out of the ring, and it was back to Johnson and Andretti.

Solo managed to get Johnson out of the ring, and took on Andretti. Solo tried to slow things down to put Andretti off his game, but Johnson re-inserted himself in the match and the three men knocked each other about. Solo tried for a big stomp off the top rope, but only got a two count of Andretti. Johnson and Solo had their face-off next, leading to a big dive out of the ring by Johnson.

Andretti tried a standing moonsault on both Solo AND Johnson, but it only resulted in a two-count on the two men. Several near-falls and momentum changes later, Andretti ate an errant superkick from Johnson, who slammed Solo and got the pin for the win.

The Premier Athletes (Ariya Daivari & Tony Nese) defeated The Bollywood Boyz (Gurv & Harv Shira)

Mark Sterling rand down the Vancouver hockey team, The Canucks, to the crowds dismay. Then, they cheered up as the Bollywood Boyz entered wearing Canuck’s jeresys to a huge ovation!

The WWE release of the Bollywood Boyz was a dark time for their fans (who I count myself amongst). So it was great to see them in ROH, and against two great opponents in The Premiere Athletes.

Nese and Daivari jumped the Boyz off the top, but Harv and Gurv were ready for it. They fought the Athletes off, sending them out of the ring to regroup. Harv and Daivari ended up the legal men and Daivari let his mean streak out on the smaller Harv, isolating him from his brother. Nese tagged in and continued the beatdown.

Harv managed to get a hot tag to Gurv, who leapt into the ring and went toe-to-toe with Nese, clearing the ring while his brother recovered. The two sent Nese and Daivari out of the ring so they could do their signature dance.

Nese managed to land a pump handle driver on Gurv though and the Premiere Athletes took home the victory. They dragged the Bollywood Boyz back into the ring to dish out some punishment until The Infantry came to the ring with chairs to even the odds! They chased the Premiere Athletes out of the ring and stood tall with the Boyz.

-A vingette aired promoting Dalton Castle vs ROH World TV Champion Kyle Fletcher for next week’s show!

Top Flight (Dante & Darius Martin) defeated The Workhorsemen (JD Drake & Anthony Henry)

It’s the main event spot for Drake and Henry this week. They have a lot on their plates though with Top Flight, who came to the ring with Action Andretti who had just completed a costume change so quick, it could have been on the Eras Tour.

Henry and Darius kicked things off with some quick exchanges. The match felt really exciting off the top, with all these guys having great presence in the ring. Drake entered the match, asserting his presence by no-selling some big chops from Darius. Duante tagged in and did an amazing backflip OFF of the back of Drake.

Drake used his size to isolate Duante from tagging. A double stomp from Henry right on Duante’s back ended up in a two-count, but no pin for the Workhorsemen. Darius flew in off of a hot tag and cleaned house, getting the big man, Drake, off his feet. Henry broke up a pin and kept his team in the match, causing a distraction for Drake to land a low blow in the ring. Only a two count though as Darius kicked out, bringing everyone back into the ring.

Duante took advantage of Henry’s surgically-repaired jaw and landed a series of hard punches on his chin. Henry and Duante were the legal men, and Duante managed to land a side slam on Henry and get the pin for Top Flight.

Next Week: ROH TV Champion Kyle Fletcher vs Dalton Castle!

Ring of Honor TV results: Johnny TV vs. Dalton Castle’s mystery friend

Ring of Honor presents its 50th episode in the post-Tony Khan era tonight with an angle involving Johnny TV and Dalton Castle set to continue as TV is scheduled to wrestle Castle’s mystery friend on the show.

Also booked: a singles match between Ethan Page and Aaron Solo, two four-corner survival matches, an eight-man tag, and Lee Johnson vs. Gravity. Billie Starkz, Taya Valkyrie, The WorkHorsemen, and Penta El Zero Miedo & El Hijo Del Vikingo will all be in action as well.

Tonight’s episode was taped at the Bert Ogden Arena in Edinburg, Texas, on Saturday. Spoilers from the show are available here.

*********.

The WorkHorsemen (JD Drake & Anthony Henry) defeated Sayrus & Brillante RB

Chants of “lucha” filled the arena as the match began with Brillante and Henry. Brilliante was tossed to the outside and Drake and Sayrus battled on the side of the ring. The WorkHorsemen controlled the flow of the match with Drake isolating Sayrus in the corner for big, big chops. The WorkHorsemen were looking to move toward an ROH Tag Team title shot, and dominated the two luchadores. Drake’s size was a big factor here as coupled with Henry’s athleticism, they picked up an easy victory.

Ethan Page defeated Aaron Solo

Kyle Fletcher’s ROH TV Title was on Page’s mind as the match began. Solo rejected Page’s Code of Honor, instead kicking his hand away. A hard slap from Page remedied that. Page laid fists into Solo’s face in the corner. Solo reversed and tried to deliver a few shots of his own, but Page was able to overpower him. Page caught Solo in a cradle and slammed him hard into the canvas. Solo’s quickness kept Page on his toes (and then his back) in the ring.

Page later reversed a suplex into a brainbuster, but Solo came back with a spinning kick for the two-count. Switching gears, Solo locked in a sleeper, putting Page’s five match win streak in jeopardy. Page fought back and whipped Solo into a clothesline, then a catapult powerslam for a two-count. Solo tried to get a pin using the second rope as leverage, but the ref caught it and the confusion gave Page a chance to hit the Ego’s Edge for the win.

Penta El Zero Miedo & El Hijo Del Vikingo defeated Jon Cruz & KM

It’s always great to see Penta and the crowd chanted his name as he and Cruz started things off. KM tried to get a “Jon Cruz” chant going, but no one was having it. With a little help from KM on the outside, Cruz got a leg up on Penta. Vikingo tagged in, just in time to eat a shot from KM. KM’s size advantage was on display as he locked Vikingo in a chin lock.

A full nelson slam on Vikingo gave KM the chance to tag in Cruz. Vikingo slipped through the ropes and spun into a hot tag to Penta. Stereo dives to the outside by Vikingo and Penta laid out Cruz and KM. Momentum shifted as the two luchadores double teamed KM into a pin attempt which was broken up by Cruz. A double stomp from the top rope by Penta onto Cruz’s junk led to a package piledriver and a win for Penta and Vikingo.

Johnny TV (w/ Taya Valkyrie) vs. Dalton Castle’s mystery friend never started

Earlier in the show, Lexi Nair interviewed Jerry Lynn outside of Dalton Castle’s friend’s dressing room. Dalton stuck his head out of the dressing room, but claimed his friend was busy. The chat was interrupted by Johnny TV and Taya Valkyrie. Lynn then banned Castle from interfering in the match between his friend and TV.

TV and Valkyrie went to the ring to face Castle’s “mystery friend” Pavo Real de Montana, who was actually just Castle in a fake beard, glasses and coat. He wailed like a Sasquatch on the way to the ring. TV called out the fact it was just Castle in disguise and refused the match. “Montana” tried to convince everyone that he wasn’t Castle but no one bought it. Castle took off the disguise and TV declared that Castle was not “TV ready.”

Castle begged for the chance to smash TV’s face, but TV said that Castle doesn’t have anything he wants. Castle asked him what he wanted, and TV promised to tell everyone…next week.

Later, Nair was outside Castle’s friend’s dressing room and interviewed Castle about what TV might want next week. Castle was befuddled and suggested it could be his worm farm or buckets of his “perfect” blood. Castle then grabbed his chest and Nair suggested calling a doctor. Castle asked for cheese instead and then climbed into a dryer with Nair slamming the door behind him.

Billie Starkz defeated Araya Thorn

Earlier, Starkz was warming up backstage when she was handed a folder by Nair. It was from Nyla Rose and its contents, telling her to tell Rose to find her after her match, enraged Starkz.

A mean streak from Starkz emerged in this match as she ragdolled Thorne around the ring. A few quick kicks and a slam got Starkz to a two count, but Thorne held her own. Starks showboated a bit more than usual before a big dive into Thorne on this outside. Suddenly, Rose appeared and headed to the ring with a table. She set it up on the outside while Thorne tried to steal a quick win. Starkz kicked out, but her attention was split. Starkz got Thorne in a submission hold and she tapped quickly.

Rose climbed into the ring with a mic and asked if Starkz would be a good minion or if she will have to put Starkz through a table. Starkz grabbed the mic and said that she had a surprise for her. Suddenly, Athena’s music hit and the ROH Women’s Champion appeared in the ring behind Rose and put her through the table instead. Athena and Starkz then stepped over Rose on their way up the ramp to add insult to injury.

Diamante defeated Leyla Hirsch (w/ Rachael Ellering), Kiera Hogan and Trish Adora in a four corners survival match

Diamante and Hogan made a beeline for each other and started trading blows. Adora and Hirsch let them have at it, saving their energy for later. Hirsch and Adora each tried to steal a pin before they locked up. Hirsch’s speed gave her an advantage over Hogan, but Adora re-entered the ring and used her size to take down the other three in the match.

Diamante suplexed Adora onto Hogan and Hirsch before distributing kicks to all. Diamante stacked up the other three women in the corner and then found herself in the middle of three simultaneous dropkicks. Adora hit a spinning backbreaker on Hogan and Diamante got a quick two-count on Hirsch. She grabbed a chair, but Rachael Ellering interfered and Diamante used the ropes to get the 1-2-3 on Hirsch.

Later in the show, Nair interviewed Hirsch and Ellering. Hirsch was bummed by the loss, Ellering apologized, and they are still good with each other…maybe.

Shane Taylor Productions (Shane Taylor & Lee Moriarty), Griff Garrison & Cole Karter (w/ Maria Kanellis) defeated The Iron Savages (Boulder & Bronson) and The Infantry (Shawn Dean & Carlie Bravo)

Before the match, Nair found Kanellis backstage who drew her attention to Serpentico getting beaten up by Karter and Garrison. It turned out to be a fake Serpentico, who lured Angelico into a beatdown before the real Serpentico arrived. You could tell this because he was in his black mask as the imposter still maintains possession of the real mask.

Kanellis held Serpentico’s green mask like a trophy as “her boys” Garrison and Karter walked to the ring. A trip to a certain city was promised as the Iron Savages met their teammates The Infantry in the ring. Garrison and Bravo started the eight-man match off. Quick tags between the Infantry members led to a backbreaker double team. Boulder entered the match against Karter and Kanellis jumped up on the apron to distract the Savages. Moriarty and Karter attempted a double team, but Boulder was just too big. Bronson was stunned and thrown outside by a shot from Taylor.

Dean was isolated in the corner as all four men took turns raining down blows. Finally, Dean got a hot tag on Bravo who had just sipped the Savage Sauce. Bravo cleaned house and dove onto Taylor on the outside. A missed axe kick gave Taylor an opening to take Bravo out. After a quick tag to Karter, Boulder caught him and Garrison in a double suplex. Taylor and Boulder slapped meat in the ring with Taylor coming out ahead. Moriarty was the legal man who jumped in the ring and got a pin on Dean for the win.

Afterward, Serpentico attempted to retrieve the mask that Kanellis, Garrison, and Karter took from him two weeks ago. However, he fell victim to the numbers game and Garrison and Karter ended up putting him through a table.

Lee Johnson defeated Gravity

The crowd did not like the slow start, but things started to pick up with a flying headscissors by Gravity. He kept the pace slow, offering a second Code of Honor handshake to Johnson. The two reset and traded waistlocks: about ten of them in fact. Gravity’s strategy was to keep Johnson grounded, but all that got him was a frog splash from the top rope. Johnson got a two count as they traded chops.

Slow-moving punches and whips led to a Gravity leap to the outside on Johnson. Gravity tried a couple of pinning attempts, but the crowd barely noticed. As the match reset a third time, the crowd was getting restless. Johnson got a three count off of a slam and it was over. This was not a great showing from two promising talents.

Taya Valkyrie (w/ Johnny TV) defeated Killa Kate

Kate didn’t even get entrance music, which seemed a bit insulting. Valkyrie’s size and experience came into play early as she tossed Kate from post to post. A meteora in the corner got Valkyrie a quick two count. A second and third kickout at two was the most offense that Kate showed. With each two-count, Valkyrie’s smile grew, she was just toying with Kate at this point. A dose of Shania Pain knocked Kate to the ground and gave Valkyrie the win.

Komander defeated AR Fox, Jack Cartwheel and Willie Mack in a four corners survival match

The three smaller men ganged up on Mack, but it was not to last as Komander and Fox traded blows in the corner. Fox avoided a clothesline from Mack like he was in The Matrix and sent him to the outside. Cartwheel and Fox traded really fun flips off the top rope and Cartwheel managed a two count. Mack re-entered the ring and caught Cartwheel playing to the crowd, laying in some massive chops.

Mack dominated Cartwheel and Fox in the ring while Komander laid low. Komander caught Mack off guard, pulling down the top rope and sending him to the outside. Mack made it back into the ring and hit a sky high on Fox. He went for the pin, but Cartwheel broke it up. The crowd began demanding tables. Cartwheel sent Mack to the outside and traded blows with Fox. Suddenly, Komander zipped into the ring and tried to get a pin on a dazed Fox. It was just a two count and Cartwheel hit a Spicolli driver on Komander until Fox broke up a pin attempt.

After a Mack dive over the top rope onto Komander and Fox, Cartwheel hit a plancha on the three outside the ring. A cartwheel press into Mack was followed by a 450 splash on Mack from Fox. Komander flew in out of nowhere for a Canadian destroyer on Cartwheel and a splash from the top to get the win.

During the main event, we learned Athena wanted some time to address the crowd after the match. We went backstage where she was joined by Starkz and Nair. Athena asked them to go get the car ready before addressing Rose directly. Athena assured her that she was just an ant in her kingdom and that she needs to bow down. Rose appeared out of nowhere and drove Athena through a nearby table, leaving her laying as the show closed.
