Release date revealed for Jon Moxley book ‘Mox’

Jon Moxley’s autobiography has a release date.

“Mox” will be released on November 2, 2021. The 272-page book was made available for pre-order today on Amazon and Barnes & Noble.

Mox will be published by Permuted Press, the same company that published Renee Paquette’s Messy in the Kitchen cookbook. Messy in the Kitchen will officially be released tomorrow.

Renee Paquette and Tony Khan revealed earlier this year on an episode of Renee’s Oral Sessions podcast that Moxley would have a forthcoming book.

The pre-order page describes the book as “A vivid trip through the mind of the top professional wrestler in the business—a nobody from nowhere who achieved his ambitions and walked away with the gold and the girl of his dreams.”

The book description continues:

“Ride alongside Jon Moxley as he retraces some of the highways traveled on his remarkable journey. Revel in the never-before-told stories about his early life in Cincinnati, Ohio; the gritty independent wrestling scene where he cut his teeth; the complicated corporate landscape of the WWE where he bucked against authority; and the rebellious upstart AEW, where he won the championship in 2020 and was finally free to achieve the vision of the wrestler he’d always wanted to be.

With plenty of pitstops and revelatory insights, including grizzly ultraviolent encounters, crazy characters who became lifelong friends, and his unforgettable matches in Japan, MOX is the riveting account of the life of a brawler. It is a tale written in blood and soaked in debauchery, with a good dose of wisdom accumulated along the way.

More than a backstage pass into the arena, MOX is a ticket into the ring. Once inside, you’ll never look at pro wrestling the same again.”

Moxley is a former AEW World Champion and the current IWGP United States Champion. He successfully defended the US title against Yuji Nagata on last week’s AEW Dynamite. On the same show, Moxley and Eddie Kingston were challenged by The Young Bucks to a tag team match for the Sunday, May 30 AEW Double or Nothing PPV.

Renee Paquette reveals cookbook release date

Renee Paquette, formerly known as WWE’s Renee Young, announced a release date for her forthcoming cookbook today.

“Messy In The Kitchen: My Guide to Eating Deliciously, Hosting Fabulously, and Drinking Copiously” will be available on May 18, 2021. It was made available for pre-order today on Amazon

Paquette took to her Instagram account  today and shared some of the process of bringing the book to life:

“The love, attention, focus, and butter that went into making this cookbook was such an insane experience,” she wrote.

“As a first time author, and merely a home cook, I respect the hell out of the process of making a book. This is the first project in a VERY long time that’s MINE. My writing, my ideas, my recipes. This project comes from my heart, and it means so much to me! I can’t wait to see it in your homes and see you guys cooking up all of these delicious recipes (yes, poutine) or hey- you might even just enjoy the sassy, swear word filled pages, the wine consumed, or just the photos. Thanks anyone that adds to cart. Hopefully we can all get together soon in person and celebrate!”

Messy In The Kitchen will contain more than 60 recipes for meals and cocktails. The pre-order page describes the book as “A cookbook for quirky home cooks looking to impress friends and family with a fancy meal, delicious cocktails, and intoxicating conversation.”

Paquette also wrote on Twitter today:

“Holy shit!!! I can’t even believe this is a real thing. I legit have tears in my eyes… So much love and work and endless cooking and re-testing of recipes, but the pre-order is available for my cookbook Messy In The Kitchen. Follow your dreams, y’all”

Paquette revealed on her Instagram account on July 1 that she had handed off the manuscript for the then-untitled cookbook to her publisher. On an appearance on WWE’s The Bump on August 26, Paquette announced the book’s name and a likely Spring 2021 release date.

After a six year stint with the company, Paquette departed WWE in August. She made an appearance on Fox’s pre-show for the season premiere of SmackDown on October 16.
