Viewership for episode five of WWE Raw on Netflix
For the first time since its premiere on Netflix, WWE Raw has shown a week-over-week increase in viewership.
Netflix lists that the February 3 episode of Raw generated 3.1 million views globally in its first week (February 3-9). The show was Raw’s Royal Rumble fallout episode, taking place two nights after the PLE.
After ranking ninth the previous week, Raw was back up to seventh in Netflix’s weekly top 10 rankings for English-language TV shows. It ranked as a top 10 program in seven countries: Bolivia, Canada, Ecuador, Mexico, Nicaragua, the United States, and the United Kingdom.
The viewership number is up from the 2.9 million views the January 27 episode of Raw did in its first week.
- January 6 — 5.9 million views (17.7 million hours viewed)
- January 13 — 3.7 million views (8.2 million hours viewed)
- January 20 — 3.0 million views (6.6 million hours viewed)
- January 27 — 2.9 million views (6.6 million hours viewed)
- February 3 — 3.1 million views (6.1 million hours viewed)
For Netflix’s methodology, views are defined as the total hours viewed for the program divided by the total runtime.
The Night Agent season two, The Recruit season two, American Manhunt: OJ Simpson, Sweet Magnolias season four, Apple Cider Vinegar, and The Recruit season one were the shows that ranked above Raw in the English-language TV category this week.
Viewership for episode four of WWE Raw on Netflix
The January 27 edition of WWE Raw ranked ninth in its category in Netflix’s weekly top 10.
Netflix lists that the Royal Rumble go-home episode of Raw generated 2.9 million views globally from January 27-February 2, placing it ninth among shows in the English-language TV category. The episode had 6.6 million hours viewed in total.
The viewership number is down slightly from the previous week’s Raw.
Here’s a look at the viewership each episode of Raw on Netflix has done in their respective weekly rankings (Netflix defines views as the total hours viewed for the program divided by the total runtime):
- January 6 — 5.9 million views (17.7 million hours viewed)
- January 13 — 3.7 million views (8.2 million hours viewed)
- January 20 — 3.0 million views (6.6 million hours viewed)
- January 27 — 2.9 million views (6.6 million hours viewed)
Though the PLE was not available on Netflix in the United States due to WWE’s deal with Peacock, the Royal Rumble — which took place on Saturday — ranked 10th in Netflix’s English-language TV show category with 2.1 million views. That’s only counting views that would have been generated through the end of the weekend.
Raw was a top 10 show in five countries this week: Bolivia, Canada, Mexico, the United States, and the United Kingdom.
The Royal Rumble was a top 10 show in 27 different countries, including ranking first in both Bolivia and Mexico.
Netflix publishes its weekly top 10 every Tuesday. The Night Agent season two finished first in the English-language TV category this week with 15.2 million views.
WWE & Netflix tout ‘strong’ viewership for Raw premiere
WWE and Netflix are touting that Raw got off to a strong start with a big viewership number for its premiere episode on the streaming service.
In a press release issued on Thursday, WWE and Netflix stated that Monday’s Raw episode averaged 2.6 million households in the United States in live and same-day viewing. Globally, the viewership number was nearly five million.
“Netflix and WWE, part of TKO Group Holdings, today announced that the debut episode of RAW on Netflix got off to a strong start, with the Monday night program capturing 4.9M Live+1 views globally,” the press release said.
“The inaugural event on Netflix averaged 2.6 million households (Live+SD) in the US, according to VideoAmp, which is 116% higher than RAW’s average 2024 US audience of 1.2 million households, and higher than any other Monday Night RAW broadcast in the past five years. The event also more than doubled the A18-49 audience vs. last year.”
Views are defined as “total view hours for the program divided by the runtime,” which Netflix says is their “nearest proxy for average minute audience at the household level and does not include co-viewing.”
Raw was held at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles on Monday and was headlined by CM Punk defeating Seth Rollins. John Cena, The Rock, The Undertaker, and Triple H all made appearances on the show.
The press release also states that WWE generated more than 223 million social views across its platforms on the day of the Netflix premiere, which is more than any Raw episode in 2024.
San Jose, California will host the second episode of Raw on Netflix with the show set to take place from the SAP Center next Monday (January 13).
