AEW Rampage ratings down, ranks 11th on cable

Friday night’s episode of AEW Rampage averaged 391,000 viewers on TNT, down 7.6 percent from the previous week. It’s still the third-highest audience total for the show since April 14.

In the 18-49 demo, Rampage finished 11th on the cable charts with a 0.11 rating. That’s down 15.4 percent from last week but ties Rampage’s third-highest rating in that category since April 22.

Rampage’s ratings were down from last week in most demos, but it did have a big increase with younger viewers. Males 12-34 were up 80 percent while females in that same age group were up 66.7 percent. The biggest drop was with women 18-49, which were down 20 percent.

As compared to the same week in 2022, Rampage was down 7.4 percent in overall audience and down 8.3 percent in 18-49.

AEW Rampage ratings up, ranks 12th on cable

Friday’s episode of AEW Rampage averaged 423,000 viewers on TNT, up 45.4 percent from the previous week. It’s the second-largest audience total for the show since April 14.

In the 18-49 demo, Rampage finished 12th on the cable charts with a 0.13 rating. That’s up 30 percent from last week and is the show’s highest rating in that category since April 14.

Rampage’s ratings were up in the individual demos with the exception of people 18-34 and females 12-34, which were both even with last week. The biggest increase was with men 12-34, which were up 66.7 percent.

The relatively strong ratings came without the major sports competition that Rampage has faced in recent months, although the show did go head-to-head with NBC’s coverage of US Open gold, which averaged 2.4 million viewers and drew a 0.40 rating in the key demo.

As compared to the same week in 2022, Rampage’s overall audience was up 14.6 percent while its 18-49 demo rating was up 8.3 percent. It’s the first time in the show’s history that the year-over-year number has been up on a week when it has aired in its regular time slot both years.

AEW Rampage ratings down, ranks 27th on cable

Friday night’s episode of AEW Rampage averaged 291,000 viewers on TNT, down 18.5 percent from the previous week. It’s Rampage’s third-lowest audience of the year to date and the lowest the show has ever done in its normal time slot.

In the 18-49 demo, Rampage finished 27th on the cable charts with a 0.10 rating. That’s down 16.7 percent from the previous week and is the lowest rating Rampage has drawn in its normal time slot this year.

The show faced competition from game four of the NBA Finals. The game averaged 10.4 million viewers on ABC and topped all of television with a 3.23 rating in the 18-49 demo.

Rampage’s ratings were down in most demos, but the show was actually up with younger women. There was a 14.3 percent increase with women 18-49 and a 50 percent rise in females 12-34. The biggest decline was with males 12-34, which were down 62.5 percent.

As compared to the same week in 2022, Rampage was down 38.9 percent in overall viewers and down 37.5 percent in 18-49. The NBA was also airing head-to-head with the show during this week in 2022, so it is a fair year-over-year comparison.

AEW Rampage ratings up with return to normal time slot

Friday night’s episode of AEW Rampage averaged 436,000 viewers on TNT, up 48.8 percent from the previous week. It was the first time Rampage has aired in its regular time slot since April 7.

This marks the best audience total for Rampage since April 14, when it aired closer to its regular time slot and also had the NBA airing as a lead-in.

In the 18-49 demo, Rampage finished 13th on the cable charts with a 0.11 rating. That’s up 22.2 percent from last week and is the highest rating for the show since April 22, which was a Saturday airing.

Rampage had no major sports competition airing head-to-head on Friday night.

Ratings for the show were up in every single demo. The biggest increase was with males 12-34, which were up 100 percent from last week.

As compared to the same week in 2022, Rampage’s overall audience was up 27.9 percent while its 18-49 rating was down 21.4 percent. Last year’s show aired at 6:30 p.m. Eastern due to the NBA.

Friday’s edition of AEW Rampage averaged 293,000 viewers on TNT, up 3.2 percent from the previous week when the show aired on a Saturday night.

The episode still aired outside of Rampage’s normal time slot, beginning at 6:30 p.m. Eastern time.

In the 18-49 demo, Rampage finished 24th on the cable charts with a 0.09 rating, up 28.6 percent from last week. The viewership and rating were virtually identical to two weeks ago when Rampage aired in the same time slot.

Rampage’s ratings were up from last week in every demo with the exception of people over 50, which were down 12.5 percent. The biggest increase was with females 12-34, which were up 300 percent, although that was from a record low rating of 0.01 last week.

As compared to the same week in 2022, Rampage’s overall viewership was down 28.5 percent while its 18-49 rating was down 40 percent. The episode last year aired at 7 p.m. Eastern.

AEW Rampage draws lowest viewership in show history

Saturday night’s episode of AEW Rampage averaged 284,000 viewers on TNT, the lowest audience in the history of the show. It’s down 3.4 percent from the previous week when Rampage aired on Friday afternoon.

In the 18-49 demo, Rampage finished 46th on the cable charts with a 0.07 rating. That’s down 22.2 percent from last week and ties the lowest rating the show has ever done in that demo.

Although Rampage aired on an unfamiliar night, the sports competition was not as strong as in recent weeks as there was no NBA playoff game. Rampage did go head-to-head with Top Rank Boxing on ESPN, which averaged 714,000 viewers and finished fourth on the cable charts with a 0.24 rating in 18-49.

Rampage’s ratings were down in every category with the exception of people over 50, which were actually up 14.3 percent from last week. The biggest drop was with females 12-34, which were down 75 percent to a 0.01 rating.

As compared to the same week in 2022, Rampage’s overall viewership was down 16.5 percent while its 18-49 rating was down 41.7 percent. That episode from 2022 aired on a Friday at 5:30 p.m. Eastern.

AEW Rampage viewership down slightly, 18-49 demo rating steady

Friday night’s episode of AEW Rampage averaged 294,000 viewers on TNT, almost identical to the previous week’s 298,000 viewers. It’s Rampage’s second-lowest audience of the year, although the show, like last week, aired at 6:30 p.m. Eastern instead of in its normal time slot.

Rampage finished 25th on the cable charts with a 0.09 rating in the 18-49 demo. That’s identical to the previous week and is tied for Rampage’s second-lowest rating of the year.

The show had a big increase with young females as women 18-49 were up 40 percent from last week and females 12-34 were up 33.3 percent. That was offset by decreases of 29.4 percent and 33.3 percent with males in those same age groups.

As compared to the same week in 2022, Rampage’s overall audience was actually up 0.7 percent. The show last year aired at 5:30 p.m. Eastern. The 18-49 demo rating was down 18.2 percent, so the audience skewed older than at this time last year.

AEW Rampage drops below 300,000 viewers in early time slot

Friday night’s episode of AEW Rampage averaged 298,000 viewers on TNT, down 19.7 percent from the previous week when the show aired on a Saturday. It’s the second-lowest viewership Rampage has ever done.

While Rampage was on its normal night last Friday, it aired three and a half hours earlier than usual due to the NHL playoffs. It was originally announced that the episode would air at 5:30 p.m. Eastern, but it was moved again and began at 6:30 p.m.

In the 18-49 demo, Rampage ranked 32nd on the cable charts with a 0.09 rating. That’s down 25 percent from the previous week. It’s the lowest rating for the show since February 17 and is also Rampage’s second-lowest rating of all time. 

Rampage’s ratings were down from the previous week in most categories, but the show was actually up with young women. Females 12-34 were up 14.3 percent, while women 18-49 were even. The biggest decline was with males 12-34, which were down 42.9 percent. It’s the second straight week of big declines in that demo. Two weeks ago, Rampage drew a 0.19 rating with males 12-34. It was down to a 0.04 rating this week.

As compared to the same week in 2022, Rampage was down 35.8 percent in overall viewers and down 35.7 percent in the 18-49 demo. That’s not a fair comparison, however, as the show aired in its normal time slot last year.

AEW Rampage ratings drop for Saturday episode

Saturday night’s edition of AEW Rampage, which was moved to that night due to TNT’s NHL playoff coverage, averaged 371,000 viewers. That’s down 41.9 percent from the previous week (with an NBA lead-in on Friday) but virtually identical to the 373,000 viewers the show averaged the last time it aired on a Saturday on March 25.

In the 18-49 demo, Rampage finished 26th on the cable charts with a 0.12 rating, down 42.9 percent from last week. It was up 20 percent from the March 25 Saturday episode, however.

Rampage’s ratings were down from last week in every demo. The biggest drop came with males 12-34, which were down 63.4 percent. From the March 25 show, there was a big increase with females 12-34. Rampage more than tripled its rating in that demo, going from a 0.02 to a 0.07. Males in that same age group were down 30 percent from March 25 and also drew a 0.07 rating, meaning the audience was split evenly between males and females in that age group, which is rare for a wrestling show.

As compared to the same week in 2022, Rampage’s overall audience was down 28.4 percent while its 18-49 rating was down 36.8 percent.

NBA lead-in boosts AEW Rampage to best viewership since 2021

With the benefit of a lead-in from the NBA, Friday night’s episode of AEW Rampage averaged 639,000 viewers on TNT, up 27 percent from the previous week. It’s the largest audience total for the show since September 17, 2021. 

Rampage finished seventh on the cable charts with a 0.21 rating in the 18-49 demo. That’s up 23.5 percent from the previous week and is Rampage’s best rating in that category since April 8, 2022.

Rampage aired immediately after an NBA play-in game that averaged 2.26 million viewers and finished second on the cable charts with a 0.76 rating in 18-49. Another play-in game on ESPN took the top spot on cable.

Rampage’s ratings were up from last week in every category with the biggest increase coming with females 12-34, which were up 80 percent.

As compared to the same week in 2022, Rampage was up 32.6 percent in overall viewers and up five percent in 18-49.

AEW Rampage ratings up, ranks sixth on cable

Friday night’s episode of AEW Rampage averaged 503,000 viewers on TNT, up 47.9 percent from the previous week. It’s the highest audience total for the show since January 13 and the third highest of the year to date. 

In the 18-49 demo, Rampage finished sixth on the cable charts with a 0.17 rating, up 70 percent from last week. It’s Rampage’s best rating in the key demo since December 23.

Rampage’s ratings were up in every demo with the biggest increase coming with females 12-34, which were up 150 percent from last week. The show also more than doubled its rating with males in that age group, as well as with people 18-34 and people 25-54. 

As compared to the same week in 2022, Rampage was down 16.2 percent in overall viewers and down 32 percent in 18-49. 

Battle of the Belts VI, which aired immediately following Rampage, averaged 415,000 viewers. That’s up 1.5 percent from the previous Battle of the Belts special in January. The show finished 12th for the night in the 18-49 demo with a 0.14 rating. That’s up 27.3 percent from the last Battle of the Belts.

As compared to the 10-week averages, Rampage was up 26.9 percent in overall viewers and up 41.7 percent in 18-49.

AEW Rampage ratings down, record low viewership for normal time slot

Friday night’s episode of AEW Rampage averaged 340,000 viewers on TNT, down 8.9 percent from the previous week. It’s the lowest audience total in the history of the show for an episode that aired in its normal Friday 10 p.m. time slot. The record low was on February 17 of this year when Rampage aired at 7 p.m.

In the 18-49 demo, Rampage finished 42nd on the cable charts with a 0.10 rating, which is even with the previous week’s Saturday episode. The show went against stronger-than-usual sports competition with the women’s NCAA basketball tournament averaging more than five million viewers head-to-head. The game topped the cable charts with a 1.27 rating.

This ties the lowest 18-49 demo rating Rampage has drawn it its normal time slot.

Rampage also went against ROH’s Supercard of Honor pay-per-view and WWE’s Hall of Fame ceremony on Friday night.

Rampage’s ratings were even or down in every demo with the exception of women 18-49, which were up 16.7 percent. The biggest decline was with males 12-34, which were down 50 percent.

As compared to the same week in 2022, Rampage’s overall audience was down 25.4 percent while its 18-49 rating was down 33.3 percent.

AEW Rampage ratings down for Saturday episode

Saturday night’s episode of AEW Rampage averaged 373,000 viewers on TNT, down 21.3 percent from the previous week (which aired just after midnight Eastern on a Friday). It’s the lowest audience total for the show since February 17 and the second lowest of 2023 so far.

The Rampage episode was moved to Saturday due to TNT’s coverage of a United States vs. Grenada soccer game.

In the 18-49 demo, Rampage finished 26th on the cable charts with a 0.10 rating. That’s down 44.4 percent from the previous week and also matches Rampage’s second-lowest rating of the year. The lowest was that same February 17 episode, which was a 7 p.m. Eastern airing.

Rampage’s ratings were down in every category with the exception of people over 50, which were up 11.1 percent from the prior week’s late night airing. The biggest declines were with young women as both women 18-49 and females 18-34 were down 50 percent. Rampage’s 0.02 rating with females 12-34 was the lowest the show has ever done.

As compared to the same week in 2022, when Rampage aired in its regular time slot, the overall audience was down 12.2 percent while the 18-49 rating was down 28.6 percent.

Also airing on Saturday night was a preview of the first episode of AEW’s All Access reality show. With it airing after NCAA March Madness coverage, the All Access preview averaged 738,000 viewers on TBS. It ranked seventh on cable with a 0.24 rating in the 18-49 demo.

Friday night’s episode of AEW Rampage averaged 447,000 viewers on TNT, up 13.5 percent from the previous week. It’s the largest audience total for the show since January 27.

In the 18-49 demo, Rampage finished 19th on the cable charts with a 0.15 rating. That’s up 50 percent from the previous week and ties Rampage’s best rating since December 23.

Rampage’s ratings were up from last week in most demos with the exception of people over 50, which were down 4.8 percent. The biggest increase was with young men as males 12-34 were up 160 percent.

As compared to the same week in 2022, Rampage was down 15 percent in overall viewers and down 31.8 percent in 18-49. It’s the 21st straight week the show has had a year-over-year decline of at least 30 percent.

AEW Rampage ratings down for Revolution go-home show

Friday night’s AEW Rampage, the go-home show for Revolution, averaged 394,000 viewers on TNT. That’s down 3.7 percent from the previous week but is still the second-highest audience total for Rampage since February 3.

In the 18-49 demo, Rampage finished 32nd on the cable charts with a 0.10 rating. That’s down 9.1 percent from the previous week and ties the second-lowest rating Rampage has ever done in its regular time slot.

The Revolution Countdown special that aired after Rampage averaged 187,000 viewers. With a 0.04 rating in the 18-49 demo, the special finish 94th on the cable charts. Both numbers are down from AEW’s Full Gear Countdown special (234,000 viewers and 0.06 rating) and last year’s Countdown to Revolution (269,000 viewers and 0.08 rating).

As compared to last week, Rampage’s ratings were down or even in every demo with the exception of people 25-54, which were up 13.3 percent. The biggest drops came with people 18-34 and males 12-34, which were both down 16.7 percent.

Year-over-year, Rampage was down 27.7 percent in total viewers and down 54.6 percent in 18-49.
