WWE NXT UK held a television taping at BT Sports Studio in London on Thursday, and a title changed hands at the event.
Mark Coffey defeated Noam Dar to win the Heritage Cup by a 2-1 score, winning the title that Dar had held since October 2021.
New NXT UK Tag Team Champions Josh Briggs and Brooks Jensen defended their titles at the taping, and NXT 2.0 regular Fallon Henley was also in action at the event.
NXT UK Champion Ilja Dragunov was also in action at the show, defending the title against Wolfgang.

NXT UK was back in Coventry, England on Saturday for the second and final night of this weekend’s television tapings. This was the final set of tapings before April’s UK TakeOver: Dublin event.
– Dark match: The Hunt (Wild Boar & Primate) defeated Dan Moloney & Dereiss Gordon
– Amir Jordan defeated Tyson T-Bone
– Imperium (Marcel Barthel & Fabian Aichner) defeated Oliver Carter & Ashton Smith
– Aoife Valkyrie defeated Nina Samuels
– Noam Dar defeated A-Kid
Dar got the win by hitting a low blow and then the Nova Roller. After the match, he cut a promo calling himself the next NXT UK Champion.
– NXT Cruiserweight Champion Jordan Devlin defeated Travis Banks to retain his title
Devlin retained by rolling up Banks while having his feet on the ropes.
– NXT UK Champion WALTER defeated Ridge Holland in a non-title match
WALTER won with a lariat after interference by Alexander Wolfe.
– Toni Storm defeated Isla Dawn
Storm hit a headbutt and Storm Zero to get the win.
– Finn Balor defeated Kenny Williams
– NXT UK Women’s Champion Kay Lee Ray & Jinny defeated Dani Luna & Piper Niven
– Xia Brookside defeated Amale
Brookside got the win with a double-arm backstabber.
– Ilja Dragunov won a battle royal to become the number one contender to WALTER’s NXT UK Championship.
The battle royal came down to Dragunov and Bate. Dar and Devlin were two of the other participants, with Dar eliminating the Cruiserweight Champion.
The first night of this weekend’s NXT UK tapings in Coventry took place on Friday, with Finn Balor making his NXT UK debut against Alexander Wolfe in the main event.
– Francesca Brown replaced Andy Shepherd as the ring announcer, while Shepherd took a leading role on the commentary team alongside Nigel McGuinness.
– Dark match: Xia Brookside defeated Nina Samuels
Brookside landed a diving crossbody and won via pinfall.
– Finn Balor opened the show with a promo where he said that he isn’t in NXT UK to boost a rating. He was quick to call out NXT UK Champion WALTER following Imperium’s attack on NXT. Imperium surrounded the ring and attacked Balor, but he managed to escape.
– Pretty Deadly (Sam Stoker & Lewis Howley) defeated Dan Moloney & Dereiss Gordon
Moloney and “Man Like Dereiss” are known as “The 0121” on the British independent scene, but not in this instance. This was Moloney’s return to NXT UK after he left the company in 2018.
– Noam Dar defeated Ligero
Dar won with a Nova Roller running enzuigiri.
– Dani Luna vs. Amale ended in a double DQ
Kay Lee Ray attacked both women, causing the disqualification. KLR then cut a promo claiming that she owns the NXT UK women’s division. Luna tried to fight back, but KLR was quick to hit her with a Gory Bomb.
– Ilja Dragunov defeated A-Kid
Dragunov won with a Torpedo Moscow running uppercut. A-Kid got to showcase his evasiveness, while Dragunov showed his intensity. The crowd loved every second of this match.
– Ashton Smith & Oliver Carter defeated Tyson T-Bone & Saxon Huxley
Smith and Carter came out to a new theme song and were a lot more fun-loving than usual.
– Ridge Holland defeated Joseph Conners
– Kassius Ohno defeated Kenny Williams
Ohno won via submission. The crowd was firmly on Ohno’s side here despite his nefarious tactics.
– NXT UK Women’s Champion Kay Lee Ray defeated Dani Luna in a non-title match
KLR attacked Luna after the match, but Piper Niven ran out to make the save.
– Gallus (Joe Coffey, Mark Coffey & Wolfgang) defeated Dave Mastiff, Flash Morgan Webster & Trent Seven
Joe Coffey pinned Webster for the win.
– Finn Balor defeated Alexander Wolfe
Balor pinned Wolfe after hitting a Coup de Grace followed by the 1916. Imperium tried to interfere in the match, but they were ejected by referee Joel Allen.
After the match, Balor listed Matt Riddle, Johnny Gargano, and others as names he has beaten. He then asked who’s next. Tyler Bate walked out to face off with him. Both men brawled in the ring, but Bate stood tall after connecting with Bop and Bang, hitting a rebound lariat and an airplane spin.
NXT UK returns to the Coventry Skydome on Saturday for the final tapings before NXT UK TakeOver: Dublin. NXT UK Cruiserweight Champion Jordan Devlin is set to defend his title against Travis Banks at tomorrow’s tapings.
NXT UK held its first night of post-TakeOver Blackpool II television tapings at York Barbican today. Here are the results:
– Tom Phillips and Aiden English were on commentary. Kassius Ohno was also pictured at the announcers’ desk.
– Dark match: Michael May defeated Iestyn Rees
Rees controlled the early stages of the match, but May rolled him up for the win.
– WALTER was presented with a new NXT United Kingdom Championship title belt before Imperium cut a promo addressing The Undisputed Era’s attack at TakeOver: Blackpool II.
The new title belt looks the same as the original with the exception of the WWE logo being replaced with an NXT logo.
– Jordan Devlin defeated Ligero to qualify for the NXT Cruiserweight Championship match at Worlds Collide
Devlin wrestled the first few minutes in his entrance jacket. He pinned Ligero after hitting the Devlin Side suplex.
– Ilja Dragunov defeated Josh Terry in a squash match
Dragunov pinned Terry after hitting a Torpedo Moscow running uppercut. He went on to hype up his match against Finn Balor at Worlds Collide, but was interrupted by Joe Coffey.
Coffey explained that Dragunov was never part of Gallus and blamed him for his loss at TakeOver. He wished Dragunov luck at Worlds Collide, but said that Dragunov has something to settle with Coffey when he’s back.
– Travis Banks defeated Brian Kendrick to qualify for the NXT Cruiserweight Championship match at Worlds Collide
Banks kicked out of Sliced Bread #2 and hit a Slice of Heaven and a Kiwi Crusher to pin Kendrick. The fatal four-way title match at Worlds Collide will be NXT Cruiserweight Champion Angel Garza defending against Isaiah “Swerve” Scott, Devlin, and Banks.
– Danny Burch & Oney Lorcan defeated The Hunt (Primate & Wild Boar)
Burch & Lorcan won via pinfall after hitting a double-team London Bridge.
– Eddie Dennis cut a promo where he gloated about his malevolence at TakeOver and was confronted by Trent Seven.
– Isla Dawn defeated Nina Samuels
Dawn pinned Samuels with a bridging German suplex.
– Ridge Holland defeated Tyson T-Bone
This was a short match, but a very hard-hitting one.
– Imperium (Marcel Barthel, Fabian Aichner & Alexander Wolfe) defeated Mark Andrews, Flash Morgan Webster & Dave Mastiff
WALTER came out to help Imperium during the match, but he was stopped by Mastiff. Mastiff was a crowd favorite and garnered a very loud reaction.
– Piper Niven defeated Dani Luna
– Tyler Bate defeated A-Kid
Bate won with the Tyler Driver ’97. Joseph Conners confronted him after the match.
– Ashton Smith & Oliver Carter defeated Pretty Deadly (Sam Stoker & Lewis Howley)
– NXT UK Women’s Champion Kay Lee Ray came out to cut a promo, but Toni Storm was quick to confront her and say that her victory was stolen at TakeOver. Ray challenged Storm to an I Quit title rematch, with the added stipulation that if Storm loses, she may never challenge for the title again while Ray is the champion.
– Aoife Valkyrie defeated Amale
In her NXT UK debut, Valkyrie got the win with a double stomp off the ropes.
– Dave Mastiff defeated Saxon Huxley in a squash match
– Trent Seven defeated Eddie Dennis in a “steel corners match”
The turnbuckle pads were removed for this match. Seven got the win by running Dennis into two exposed turnbuckles and hitting a Birminghammer.
Two matches were taped at the Empress Ballroom in Blackpool, England before today’s NXT UK TakeOver special went on the air.
– Joseph Conners defeated A-Kid
On the January 2 episode of NXT UK, video aired of Conners interrupting a backstage promo that A-Kid was cutting. Conners kept calling himself TakeOver worthy. He said A-Kid is on a roll and is doing well for himself, but Conners has no problem ruining things for him.
– Dave Mastiff defeated Kassius Ohno
Mastiff vs. Ohno was also set up on that January 2 episode. Mastiff defeated Kona Reeves and Ohno defeated Ligero on the show. Ohno called himself the best British wrestler alive, and Mastiff confronted him backstage and challenged him for when he’s ready to face a real heavyweight British wrestler.
WWE’s Prime Target special building up UK TakeOver: Blackpool II aired last Thursday instead of a regular episode of NXT UK.
NXT UK’s weekend of television tapings came to a close at the Bonus Arena in Hull on Saturday.
With UK TakeOver: Blackpool II on the horizon, here are the results from night two of the tapings:
– Andy Shepherd announced that NXT UK TakeOver: Blackpool II will take place on Sunday, January 12. Tickets go on sale on Monday, November 18 at 10 a.m. GMT.
– Dark Match: The Hunt (Wild Boar & Primate) defeated Tyson T-Bone & Saxon Huxley
– WWE United Kingdom Champion WALTER promised Joe Coffey a title shot — as long as Gallus are willing to defend their NXT UK Tag Team titles against Imperium and Ilja Dragunov will face Alexander Wolfe in a no disqualification match.
Coffey obliged on behalf of Gallus, but he would not speak on Dragunov’s behalf. Dragunov then came out to accept WALTER’s challenge himself. He was then powerbombed through a table by Imperium.
– NXT UK Women’s Champion Kay Lee Ray defeated Isla Dawn in a non-title match
After the match, KLR name-dropped Piper Niven in a promo. Niven ran out to the ring alongside Toni Storm. Just as they were about to fight, KLR pushed Storm into Niven, causing them to stand off against each other.
Assistant general manager Sid Scala announced that KLR will defend her title against Storm and Niven in a triple threat match at TakeOver: Blackpool II.
– Trent Seven was set to face the debuting Michael May, but May was attacked by Eddie Dennis during his entrance.
– Ridge Holland defeated Jack Starz
Holland got a very loud reaction from his hometown crowd.
– NXT UK Tag Team title match: Gallus (Mark Coffey & Wolfgang) vs. Imperium (Marcel Barthel & Fabian Aichner) ended in a no contest
The no-contest came as a result of the Grizzled Young Veterans stealing the title belts and brawling with Mark Andrews and Flash Morgan Webster. It is unclear if this result means that Joe Coffey does not get a UK title shot at TakeOver.
– Johnny Saint and Sid Scala announced that the NXT UK Tag Team titles will be defended in a four-way ladder match at TakeOver. It will be Gallus vs. Imperium vs. The Grizzled Young Veterans vs. Andrews & Webster.
– Kenny Williams & Amir Jordan defeated Pretty Deadly (Sam Stoker & Lewis Howley)
This was Jordan’s return from injury. His last NXT UK match was in April.
– Trent Seven called out Eddie Dennis for his attack on Michael May. Dennis slowly made his way down to the ring and hit Seven with his microphone. “I’ll see you at TakeOver,” said Dennis.
– Jinny (w/ Jazzy Gabert) defeated Amale
Amale is the current wXw Women’s Champion and this was her NXT UK debut. Gabert attacked Amale after the match, but eventually stopped following Jinny’s orders and walked away.
– Tyler Bate defeated Noam Dar
Jordan Devlin came down to watch the match from ringside towards the end. He slid into the ring immediately after Bate won and stared him down while on all fours.
– Dave Mastiff defeated Kona Reeves
Reeves cut a long, arrogant promo before the match.
– Toni Storm said that Kay Lee Ray got in her head and put her in a very dark place, which is why she was nowhere to be seen after TakeOver: Cardiff. Storm said that she owed Niven an apology.
After Niven came out, Storm asked her to step aside and let her challenge Kay Lee Ray one-on-one at TakeOver, but Niven refused to let go of her opportunity. Storm then tried to grab Niven as she turned around, but she ate a vicious headbutt from Niven.
– Kassius Ohno defeated Ligero
Ohno won via submission and later said that despite being the Knockout Artist, he can still win purely by wrestling. He called himself the “greatest British wrestler alive.”
– Ashton Smith & Oliver Carter defeated The Outliers (Dorian Mak & Riddick Moss)
– Ilja Dragunov defeated Alexander Wolfe in a no DQ match
This was a very good main event that saw the use of kendo sticks, steel chairs, and a table. Imperium beat down Dragunov after until Gallus made the save.
– The show finished with Gallus wishing the crowd a Merry Christmas and handing out signed Christmas cards with WALTER as Santa Claus.
No tapings have been announced for between now and TakeOver: Blackpool II.
NXT UK kicked off two straight nights of television tapings at the Bonus Arena in Hull today. Here are the results from night one:
– The show began with Andy Shepherd announcing NXT UK TakeOver: Blackpool II for 2020. The exact date of the event was not mentioned. This will be the second NXT UK TakeOver to emanate from the Empress Ballroom in Blackpool.
– Dark Match: Mark Andrews defeated Kassius Ohno
Andrews rolled Ohno up for the win. The crowd was energetic from the start.
– Trent Seven defeated Kona Reeves
Seven hit Reeves with the Birminghammer for the victory. After the match, the returning Eddie Dennis grabbed Seven’s hand and stared him down.
– A-Kid defeated Jack Starz
This was a very good technical showcase for both men.
– The Grizzled Young Veterans (Zack Gibson & James Drake) cut an in-ring promo and demanded an NXT UK Tag Team title rematch from general manager Johnny Saint. They stated that if if hadn’t been for the stipulation at TakeOver: Cardiff, they would still be the champions.
– Ridge Holland defeated Oliver Carter
Despite his very aggressive nature, hometown favorite Holland had most of the crowd on his side. Ashton Smith helped Carter get back up after the match.
– Alexander Wolfe defeated Ilja Dragunov
Wolfe’s victory came as a result of Imperium’s interference. After the match, Imperium beat down Dragunov before Gallus made the save. As the brawl came to an end, WALTER and Joe Coffey had a small tug-of-war with the WWE United Kingdom Championship.
– Piper Niven defeated Jinny (w/ Jazzy Gabert)
Niven cut a promo after saying that she is coming for Kay Lee Ray’s NXT UK Women’s Championship. She was then blindsided by the champion, but Toni Storm returned to make the save. Niven and Storm stared each other down afterwards.
– Eddie Dennis defeated Dreiss Gordon
The returning Dennis got the win with the Next Stop Driver. Dreiss was very impressive and had a lot of fan support.
– Noam Dar defeated Ashton Smith
Dar got the pinfall victory with a Nova Roller.
– Toni Storm defeated Killer Kelly
Storm made quick work of Kelly and put her away with the Storm Zero. Kelly is still yet to have a televised victory in NXT UK.
Kay Lee Ray attacked Storm following the match, then Piper Niven ran out to save her. Niven offered Storm a handshake, but she just walked away.
– The Hunt (Primate & Wild Boar) defeated The Outliers (Riddick Moss & Dorian Mak)
– Jordan Devlin defeated A-Kid
Tyler Bate came out to watch the match at ringside. Devlin got the win with the Devlin Side suplex, with that putting an end to a hugely impressive match from both men.
– Joseph Conners defeated Ligero and Travis Banks in a triple threat match
Conners pinned Banks with the Don’t Look Down cradle DDT. After being attacked by Conners on last week’s TV, Ligero and Banks teamed together during the early stages here. Conners got busted open on the bridge of his nose near the end.
– Imperium (WALTER, Marcel Barthel, Fabian Aichner & Alexander Wolfe) vs. Gallus ( Joe Coffey, Mark Coffey & Wolfgang) & Ilja Dragunov ended in a double countout
WALTER cut a promo after the match stating that no one on the NXT UK roster is able to beat him, then Tyler Bate ran out and hit him with a lariat and the Tyler Driver 97. The show finished with Bate standing tall.
NXT UK was at the Brentwood Centre in Brentwood, Essex on Friday to begin two straight days of television tapings. Tom Phillips is now doing commentary on NXT UK along with Nigel McGuiness.
– Dark match: A-Kid defeated Joseph Conners
– NXT UK Tag Team Champions Mark Andrews & Flash Morgan Webster came out to thank the crowd. Gallus then interrupted them, setting up a match for “next week.”
– The Hunt (Wild Boar & Primate) defeated Pretty Deadly (Lewis Howley & Sam Stoker)
Imperium’s Marcel Barthel and Fabian Aichner brawled with The Hunt after the match, with Alexander Wolfe coming out to give his Imperium stablemates the advantage.
– Piper Niven defeated Jazzy Gabert
Jinny interfered on behalf of Gabert, but Rhea Ripley then evened the odds for Niven.
– Jordan Devlin defeated Jack Starz
Devlin called himself the “top superstar in all of WWE.” Dave Mastiff came out to challenge him, but Devlin wasn’t interested and walked away.
– Dave Mastiff defeated Kenny Williams
– Trent Seven defeated Noam Dar
This was an excellent match.
– Xia Brookside defeated Nina Samuels.
Brookside pinned Samuels with a roll-up.
– The Grizzled Young Veterans (Zack Gibson & James Drake) defeated Oliver Carter & Ashton Smith
Gibson and Drake beat down Carter and Smith after the match, but Andrews and Flash Morgan Webster came out for the save.
– Devlin did an in-ring promo bragging about being the best wrestler on the planet, but it didn’t end well for him as he was attacked by Mastiff.
– Imperium (Marcel Barthel & Fabian Aichner) defeated The Hunt (Wild Boar & Primate)
– Gallus (Mark Coffey & Wolfgang) defeated Mark Andrews & Flash Morgan Webster to win the NXT UK Tag Team titles
Joe Coffey, Mark Coffey, and Wolfgang beat down Andrews and Webster after, but Tyler Bate came out to make the save. The post-match angle was probably a dark segment.

The referee held up the X sign and the match was stopped after a reverse rana. Dar looks like he injured his knee. Andrews was also stretchered out.
Pete Dunne and WALTER came out for a contract signing. Dunne says he wants the match as much as everyone in the building does.
– Kenny Williams and Amir Jordan defeated Fabian Aichner and Marcel Barthel.
– Kay Lee Ray defeated Isla Dawn.
– Joe Coffey defeated Trent Seven.
Coffey submitted Seven.
– Travis Banks defeated Kassius Ohno.

After the match, Rhea Ripley came out. Niven invited her to the ring, but Ripley didn’t oblige and left.

Grizzled Young Veterans came out and acknowledged that Amir Jordan and Kenny Williams have a NXT UK team title shot in the future.

This was said to be a strong match, with Devlin winning with a Spanish Fly through a table on the outside of the ring.

– Kenny Williams & Amir Jordan defeated Saxon Huxley & Tyson T-Bone
– Noam Dar made an appearance and announced that he’s here to stay in NXT UK. He talked trash about Mark Andrews, which led to Andrews interrupting Dar and laying him out.
– Kay Lee Ray defeated Candy Floss
This was Kay Lee Ray’s NXT UK in-ring debut.
– Eddie Dennis defeated Ligero
– Tyler Bate & Trent Seven cut an in-ring promo and announced that they’ll be wrestling at Saturday’s tapings.
– Fabian Aichner & Marcel Barthel defeated Sam Stoker & Lewis Howley
– Kassius Ohno defeated Ashton Smith
Ohno appeared here after the angle where he claimed he’s leaving NXT. He attacked Smith after winning, and Banks came out to check on Smith following the attack.
– WWE United Kingdom Champion Pete Dunne & WALTER defeated Joe & Mark Coffey
The tapings ended with Dunne and WALTER going face-to-face for a staredown, with WALTER putting his foot on Dunne’s title belt.

Ryan scored the win following a roll up.
The Coffey Brothers, along with Wolfgang, cut a promo saying that NXT UK is their kingdom. Travis Banks came out to interrupt but was overpowered. Moustache Mountain came in for the save.

Fabian pinned Andrews after a spinning powerbomb.
– Isla Dawn defeated Nina Samuels.
– Eddie Dennis defeated Tucker
Dennis got the win after a modified sidewalk slam.

Mastiff got the win over Hitchman after a somersault into the turnbuckle.
