Nick Wayne is set to make his NJPW debut next month at the All Star Junior Festival USA.

As announced by NJPW and confirmed by Wayne on social media, the 18-year-old phenom will wrestle his first match for the promotion in Philadelphia at the 2300 Arena at the All Star Jr. Festival USA pay-per-view on Saturday, August 19, teaming with Jordan Oliver against Mao, and NJPW stalwart El Desperado.

Wayne made his AEW debut on the July 12 Dynamite, just days after his 18th birthday. His AEW signing was announced back in February 2022, contingent on his finishing high school and turning 18.

NJPW announces All Star Junior Festival USA for Philadelphia

Philadelphia’s 2300 Arena will host NJPW’s All Star Junior Festival USA 2023 in August.

NJPW announced during Sunday’s Collision in Philadelphia event at the 2300 Arena that the promotion will return to the same venue for the All Star Junior Festival USA on Saturday, August 19.

NJPW held their first All Star Junior Festival on March 1 in Japan, selling out Korakuen Hall in Tokyo for a show featuring junior heavyweight talent from its own roster, as well as a variety of smaller Japanese promotions. No talent has been announced for the US version of the show to this point, but it was heavily teased during the announcement that current IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion Hiromu Takahashi will appear.

Tickets for the August 19 show will go on sale at midnight Eastern time, with prices ranging from $50 for standing room to $300 for ringside seats.

Sunday’s Collision in Philadelphia marked the second of consecutive nights for NJPW shows in America. Their next stateside event is Resurgence, scheduled for Sunday, May 21 in Long Beach, California.
