Roman Reigns vs. Elias set for WWE Money in the Bank

After both joined SmackDown in the Superstar Shake-up, Roman Reigns and Elias are set to face each other at Money in the Bank.

Reigns vs. Elias was announced for the pay-per-view on tonight’s SmackDown. On last week’s show, it was hyped that Vince McMahon would be revealing “the biggest acquisition in SmackDown Live history.” He introduced Elias as that person, then Reigns came out, Superman punched Vince, and laid out Elias.

Shane McMahon appeared in tonight’s opening segment and called out Reigns, saying they were going to settle things in the ring. Shane threatened to fire Reigns if he didn’t come to the ring.

Elias then tried to attack Reigns. Reigns fought back against Shane and Elias, but Elias ended up hitting Drift Away on Reigns.

In a backstage segment, Elias sang a song challenging Reigns to a match at Money in the Bank. Reigns accepted later in the show.

Money in the Bank is taking place at the XL Center in Hartford, Connecticut on May 19. Here’s the updated card for the PPV:

  • Universal Champion Seth Rollins defending against AJ Styles
  • Raw & SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch defending the SmackDown title against Charlotte Flair
  • Raw & SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch defending the Raw title against Lacey Evans
  • Roman Reigns vs. Elias
  • Men’s Money in the Bank ladder match
  • Women’s Money in the Bank ladder match

WWE to reveal Raw’s Money in the Bank participants next week

Raw’s Money in the Bank ladder match participants are set to be announced next week.

It was announced tonight that Raw’s wrestlers for this year’s men’s and women’s Money in the Bank ladder matches will be revealed on a Moment of Bliss segment next Monday.

Alexa Bliss won the women’s Money in the Bank ladder match in 2018. She cashed in later that night, interrupting Nia Jax and Ronda Rousey’s Raw Women’s Championship match. Bliss then defeated Jax to win the title.

Braun Strowman was the winner of last year’s men’s ladder match. He cashed in to challenge Roman Reigns at Hell in a Cell, with the match ending in a no contest due to an angle where Brock Lesnar attacked both of them.

The XL Center in Hartford, Connecticut is hosting Money in the Bank on May 19. Seth Rollins defending his Universal Championship against AJ Styles has been announced for the pay-per-view, along with Becky Lynch defending the Raw Women’s title against Lacey Evans.

Seth Rollins vs. AJ Styles set for WWE Money in the Bank

After moving to Raw in the Superstar Shake-up, AJ Styles is already getting a match against Seth Rollins.

Rollins defending his Universal Championship against Styles was announced for Money in the Bank on tonight’s Raw. Styles defeated Baron Corbin in the main event of the episode to become Rollins’ next challenger.

WWE had two triple threat matches on Raw to set up the Styles vs. Corbin number one contender’s match. Styles defeated Rey Mysterio and Samoa Joe, while Corbin defeated The Miz and Drew McIntyre.

Raw ended with Rollins coming down to the ring, shaking Styles’ hand, and them speaking to each other.

Money in the Bank is taking place at the XL Center in Hartford, Connecticut on May 19. Becky Lynch defending the Raw Women’s Championship against Lacey Evans has also been announced for the PPV. It will feature men’s and women’s Money in the Bank ladder matches, with Raw’s participants for them being revealed next Monday.

Becky Lynch vs. Lacey Evans official for WWE Money in the Bank

WWE has confirmed when Lacey Evans will be getting her shot at the Raw Women’s Championship.

On tonight’s Raw, it was announced that Evans will challenge for Becky Lynch’s Raw Women’s title at Money in the Bank. The pay-per-view is taking place at the XL Center in Hartford, Connecticut on May 19.

Evans defeated Natalya in a number one contender’s match on last week’s Raw to set up her getting the title shot. Lynch and Evans went back and forth on the microphone this week, with Evans saying she’ll teach Lynch a lesson at Money in the Bank. Lynch said she’ll dismantle Evans at the PPV.

After Lynch defeated Alicia Fox on tonight’s Raw, Evans gave Lynch a Woman’s Right punch. Evans then laid her out with another one when Lynch got up.

Lynch holds both the Raw and SmackDown Women’s Championships, but only the Raw title will be on the line at Money in the Bank. Lynch defeated Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair in the main event of WrestleMania 35 to win the titles.

A face-to-face segment with Lynch and Charlotte will take place on this week’s SmackDown.

AJ Styles challenging for Seth Rollins’ Universal Championship is also set for Money in the Bank. Raw’s participants for the men’s and women’s Money in the Bank ladder matches will be announced next Monday.
