Best Friends vs. Santana & Ortiz set for AEW Dynamite

A tag team match has officially been confirmed for Dynamite.

AEW’s social media confirmed this afternoon that a tag team match will take place between The Best Friends and Santana & Ortiz. Best Friends, including Orange Cassidy, have had problems in recent weeks with The Inner Circle.

A debate between Orange Cassidy and Chris Jericho featuring a mystery moderator will also take place on the program. This will be ahead of their match on the August 12 edition of Dynamite.

Also set for this week’s Dynamite:

  • Jon Moxley vs. Darby Allin for the AEW World title
  • Matt Cardona (Zack Ryder) & Cody vs. Jon Silver and Alex Reynolds of The Dark Order
  • In a twelve-man tag team match, Kenny Omega, Hangman Page, FTR, and The Young Bucks will face Mr. Brodie Lee, Colt Cabana, Evil Uno, Stu Grayson, Five, and Ten of the Dark Order
  • An update on MJF’s challenge to Jon Moxley for a title match at AEW All Out.

Inner Circle pep rally announced for AEW Dynamite

A pep rally featuring The Inner Circle has been announced for Dynamite.

The segment was announced this afternoon on AEW’s social media. This stems from the Stadium Stampede match the group were in at Double or Nothing this weekend.

The group lost in a match that was filled with wild antics all around the TIAA Bank Field, everywhere from the fifty yard line to the bleachers to even inside the stadium bar. The match concluded after Kenny Omega gave Sammy Guevara a One Winged Angel off the stands and into a platform below.

Also announced for this week’s Dynamite is an appearance from Mike Tyson and a battle royal where the winner will face new TNT champion Cody on the June 3 edition of Dynamite.

More details will also be announced regarding AEW’s next event, Fyter Fest, as well as an update on Britt Baker, who injured her leg on last week’s Dynamite.

Rules announced for AEW’s Blood & Guts match

The stipulations for the AEW Blood & Guts match has been announced.

The rules, announced tonight on Dynamite, are similar to a WarGames match. Two men will enter the cage and start things off for one five minute round. Every two minutes thereafter, another participant will enter the match. The match officially begins when all ten men have entered the cage. The winning team will be determined when they make their opponent either submit or surrender.

It has already been announced that the teams will consist of members of the Inner Circle (Chris Jericho, Sammy Guevara, Santana, Ortiz and Jake Hager) taking on members of The Elite (The Young Bucks, Kenny Omega, Hangman Page and Cody). However, with Nick Jackson being laid out indefinitely at the hands of Inner Circle members on tonight’s episode of Dynamite, he will likely be replaced.

The Blood & Guts edition of Dynamite is scheduled to take place on March 25th at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.
