Impact Wrestling was at the Rebel Entertainment Complex in Toronto on Monday to conclude two straight nights of television tapings. The Impact World Championship and Knockouts title were defended, and the build to October’s Bound for Glory pay-per-view began.

Impact tapings —

– Austin Aries, Killer Kross, and Moose opened the Impact portion of the tapings after Moose’s heel turn on Sunday. Moose said Eddie Edwards is a fraud and he exposed him, mentioning that he had Edwards’ back when Edwards was having problems but Killer Kross was the only person who checked on Moose when he was concussed. Aries told Moose that he’d never be number one if he catered to the fans.

Johnny Impact interrupted and set up him challenging for Aries’ World Championship at Bound for Glory. They brawled until Kross and Moose took Impact out, with Aries hitting him with a chair shot to the throat.

– Petey Williams defeated Rich Swann

Matt Sydal was on commentary and ended up distracting Swann, leading to Williams hitting the Canadian Destroyer for the finish.

– The Desi Hit Squad defeated Grado & Joe Hendry

Singh cut a heel promo before the match. Hendry had a video about his platonic love for Katarina.

Grado was pinned, and Katarina asked what’s wrong with him and called him an embarrassment. She said she doesn’t love Grado. She tried to kiss Hendry, but Hendry said he only loves her as a friend. Katarina slapped him.

– Eli Drake defeated Stone Rockwell

Rockwell answered Drake’s open challenge. Drake then won a quick squash.

– Knockouts Champion Tessa Blanchard defeated Su Yung to retain her title

Blanchard won with a hammerlock DDT. Yung attacked Blanchard after the match when she was distracted by the Undead Bridesmaids bringing out a casket.

Yung tried to put Blanchard in the casket, but Allie and Kiera Hogan made the save. Blanchard told them that she doesn’t need friends.

– Sami Callihan & oVe defeated Ace Austin, Zachary Wentz & Trey Miguel

Callihan continued to attack Austin after pinning him, then said that his and oVe’s feud with Pentagon Jr. and Fenix will never end.

– Austin Aries, Killer Cross, and Moose entered for a sit-down interview. Aries said we won’t see Johnny Impact or Eddie Edwards for a long time. Fallah Bahh and KM interrupted them, with KM calling Aries a liar and a bad champion.

This led to Aries offering Bahh a title match for later.

– Pentagon Jr. & Fenix defeated The Cult of Lee (Trevor Lee & Caleb Konley)

A video from Callihan and oVe aired following the match. They challenged Pentagon, Fenix & Brian Cage to a six-man “oVe rules” match at Bound for Glory. Cage had saved Pentagon and Fenix from Callihan and oVe on Sunday.

– Alisha Edwards defeated Katarina

Katarina was distracted by an upset Grado and a video from Hendry.

– LAX defeated The Fraternity (Channing Decker & Trent Dixon)

Impact Wrestling Saturday TV taping results: New tag champs crowned

Here are some notes from last night’s Impact tapings:

It looks like much of this will be the March 23rd Impact show.

– Karen Jarrett did an interview and said that Maria Kanellis had suffered a nervous breakdown after the Laurel Van Ness wedding and she’s no longer with the company. Jarrett is a babyface here and maybe in charge of the women.

She called out Sienna and told her she’s been a bully to the other women and it has to stop. Sienna said that she earned her way to Impact, and didn’t have to marry someone to get here. Karen demanded an apology right there. Kevin Matthews came out as a relative of Sienna’s and then Braxton Sutter came out to defend Karen, which led to a match.

– Laurel Van Ness defeated MJ Jenkins

Van Ness weeks later still had her wedding dress on, and is pretending to have gone on a bender.

– Andrew Everett defeated DJZ

– Rosemary did an interview and ODB challenged her to a match. This led to most of the women coming out and leading to a brawl.

– Ethan Carter III was doing an interview. James Storm came out to his old music and is back as Cowboy James Storm. He claimed the highest rated episode of Impact was when he won the title (not true) and he’s after the title again.

– Kevin Matthews defeated Braxton Sutter

– Angel Ortiz & Mike Draztic, as LAX, managed by Konnan, won the tag titles in a four-way over Reno Scum, Decay, and Garza Jr. & Laredo Kid

– Eli Drake defeated Caleb Konley

– Bruce Prichard announced that the problems with Jeremy Borash and Josh Mathews as announcers have to stop and there will be a face off next week.

– ODB won a Rumble style women’s match to become top contender for Rosemary

– James Storm did a promo talking about winning the title. Eddie Kingston and Bram came out and said Storm has ruined all of their plans for DCC. Storm laid both of them out with superkicks.

– Andrew Everett won a three-way over Marshe Rockett and Suicide

– Davey Richards defeated Eddie Edwards in a last man standing match
