Bandido to face Amazing Red at upcoming HOG Las Vegas event

April 16 is going to be a busy day in Las Vegas for Bandido. Last week we learned he’ll be facing Galeno Del Mal in the afternoon. Now we know he’ll have another big match on the other side of the Strip just a few hours later.

House of Glory announced today that Bandido will face Amazing Red at Culture Clash. It will be the first match ever between the reigning ROH World Champion and the three-time TNA X Division champion.  Also booked for Culture Clash: Brody King, a former Tag Team Champion and Trios Champion in AEW, facing Zilla Fatu, the reigning HOG Crown Jewel Champion. The Hardy Boys, whose overflowing trophy case includes a reign as the current TNA Tag Team Champions, will also be in action.

Bandido is facing Galeno at the Wrestlecon SuperShow at the Horseshoe in Las Vegas, a show that starts at 3 p.m. He’ll then head out to the Palms for HOG Culture Clash, which is set to start at 7 p.m.

Tickets for Culture Clash are available here.

Acclaimed, Sammy Guevara announced for Long Island HOG event

House of Glory has booked some of AEW’s most decorated champions for its next show.

Both Sammy Guevara and the Acclaimed will be appearing at HOG’s Superclash event in Long Island on March 21. It’s hard to tell whether Anthony Bowens and Max Caster are still teaming together in AEW these days, but HOG has booked the Acclaimed together in a tag match against the Mane Event, the team of Jay Lyon & Midas Black. Originally trained by HOG founder Amazing Red, Lyon & Black are three-time former HOG Tag Team Champions.

Speaking of Amazing Red, he’ll also return to action on March 21, facing Guevara. It will be the first time that Guevara has wrestled the 28-year veteran, who has won three TNA X Division Championships among many other titles.

Guevara, Cody Rhodes, and Wardlow are the only three-time TNT Champions in AEW history; he is also a former Interim TNT champion and a three-time Ring of Honor Tag Team champion, a title he currently holds along with the Beast Mortos.

The Acclaimed are former AEW World Tag Team Champions. Along with Billy Gunn, they once held the AEW Trios Championships for 238 days, a record that was only recently broken by the Opps of Samoa Joe & Katsuyori Shibata & Powerhouse Hobbs.

House of Glory is co-promoting Superclash along with The Big Event. The event takes place at the Suffolk Credit Union Arena in Brentwood, New York, on March 21. Tickets are available here.

MJF to defend AEW World title against Zilla Fatu at HOG No Turning Back

The AEW World Championship will be on the line when MJF wrestles at House of Glory’s No Turning Back event this week.

Last month, it was revealed that MJF would be appearing on the event, set for Friday, February 20, at the Amazura Concert Hall in Jamaica, New York. The venue is less than an hour from MJF’s hometown of Plainview.

House of Glory announced on Sunday that MJF will defend the AEW World Championship against HOG Crown Jewel Champion Zilla Fatu in what is being billed as a champion versus champion match, with only MJF’s title on the line.

HOG wrote:

“This Friday night, history will be made at HOG No Turning Back when MJF defends the AEW World Championship against Zilla Fatu, the reigning HOG Crown Jewel Championship holder, in what is already being called one of the most monumental matches in House of Glory history.”

Also scheduled for the show, Charles Mason will defend the HOG Heavyweight Championship against Andrade El Idolo.

This will be the second time MJF has defended the AEW World Championship outside of AEW during his current reign. Last month, he defended it against Alec Price at the Limitless Rumble in Lewiston, Maine. MJF has now defended the championship three times since winning it at World’s End, defeating Bandido, Price, and most recently Brody King at Grand Slam Australia.

MJF cut a promo on Fatu to promote the match against Fatu:

Bully Ray to challenge for indie Crown Jewel title

The Bubba Ray Dudley renaissance continues.

After angles on the Busted Open radio show and backstage at last weekend’s TNA Slammiversary event, House of Glory Wrestling has announced that Bubba Ray, wrestling under the Bully Ray moniker, will challenge Zilla Fatu for the HOG Crown Jewel Championship on Friday, August 1 at the company’s High Intensity event.

High Intensity will be available for purchase as a live stream on TrillerTV+ at 8 p.m. Eastern time from Jamaica, Queens, New York. HOG is a wrestling school and indie promotion co-owned by former TNA standout Amazing Red.

A WWE Hall of Famer, the 54-year-old Bully Ray has been in the news quite a bit this week, including issuing a challenge to The Hardys on behalf of The Dudleys for a final tag match between the two legendary teams for the TNA Tag Team titles at the promotion’s Bound for Glory event in October.

Bully Ray/Bubba Ray was also prominently featured on Tuesday’s WWE NXT TV episode where he attempted to broker an agreement for a match between Charlie Dempsey and Tavion Heights. He is also a cast member and coach on the WWE LFG show that airs Sunday nights on A&E.

Young Bucks facing Private Party at House of Glory High Intensity 8

Two teams from AEW will be facing off for House of Glory Wrestling in August.

House of Glory has announced The Young Bucks vs. Private Party for High Intensity 8. The show is taking place at the NYC Arena in Queens, New York on Friday, August 9.

House of Glory noted that the match will be “both a return and a farewell.”

When The Young Bucks wrestling at High Intensity 8 was first announced, Matt Jackson tweeted that it could quite possibly be their last independent wrestling match ever.

The Young Bucks were the first House of Glory Tag Team Champions, and Private Party have also previously held the titles.

Private Party (Marq Quen & Isiah Kassidy) took on Best Friends (Trent Barreta & Chuck Taylor) and SoCal Uncensored (Scorpio Sky & Frankie Kazarian) on Saturday night’s Fyter Fest pre-show. Best Friends won and advanced to All Out on August 31, where they’ll have a shot to earn a first-round bye in AEW’s Tag Team title tournament.

The Young Bucks teamed with Kenny Omega to defeat Pentagon Jr., Fenix & Laredo Kid at Fyter Fest.

The Young Bucks set for House of Glory High Intensity 8

In what may be their final independent wrestling match, The Young Bucks will be wrestling at an event for House of Glory this summer.

House of Glory announced last night that The Young Bucks are set for their High Intensity 8 show on Friday, August 9. The event is taking place at the NYC Arena in Queens, New York.

Matt Jackson tweeted about the announcement: “Quite possibly our final wrestling appearance at an independent wrestling show ever. Can’t wait! @HOGwrestling.” Nick Jackson also tweeted: “We aren’t just doing a promo. We’re wrestling on this.”

Opponents for The Young Bucks have yet to be announced.

The Young Bucks were the first House of Glory Tag Team Champions, winning the titles in 2013.

At AAA Verano de Escandalo on June 16, The Young Bucks will defend their AAA Tag Team titles against The Lucha Bros (Pentagon Jr. & Fenix). Kenny Omega & The Young Bucks vs. The Lucha Bros and a partner is set for AEW Fyter Fest on June 29, and The Young Bucks will face Cody & Dustin Rhodes at AEW Fight for the Fallen on July 13.
