Tyler Breeze to wrestle at EVOLVE 129 and 130

Though Kyle O’Reilly won’t be able to wrestle at EVOLVE 129 and 130 this weekend, another WWE wrestler has been added to the shows.

EVOLVE has announced that Tyler Breeze will be in action at EVOLVE 129 in Queens, New York this Saturday and EVOLVE 130 in Brooklyn, New York on Sunday. Breeze vs. AR Fox is set for Queens, and Breeze vs. Anthony Greene has been confirmed for Brooklyn.

These matches will be the first time Breeze has wrestled for EVOLVE.

Breeze recently returned to the NXT roster. He unsuccessfully challenged for Velveteen Dream’s North American Championship at TakeOver: XXV earlier this month.

It was announced yesterday that O’Reilly wouldn’t be able to wrestle at EVOLVE 129 and 130. O’Reilly tweeted on June 14 that his back was still hurt after the Tag Team title ladder match at TakeOver XXV: “The medical man told me my back is still hurt so unfortunately I won’t be able to attend @DownloadFest this year. Im sorry to all the great UK fans, believe me I’m gutted to be missing @Tool but at least now @rikbugez has an actual chance of winning the air guitar contest.”

Breeze, O’Reilly, Bobby Fish, Roderick Strong, and Tommaso Ciampa will be doing meet and greets at EVOLVE 129 and 130. Strong will also be wrestling at the shows.

NXT’s Kyle O’Reilly will no longer be wrestling at EVOLVE’s shows in New York this weekend.

EVOLVE announced via Twitter today that O’Reilly won’t be able to make his scheduled matches at EVOLVE 129 and 130: “We are sorry to inform you that Kyle O’Reilly will not be able to compete at EVOLVE this weekend. We were just given the news. We will have more information and updated cards later today or tomorrow. Thank you for understanding.”

O’Reilly had been set to team with Roderick Strong against JD Drake & Anthony Henry at EVOLVE 129 in Queens, New York this Saturday. O’Reilly vs. Josh Briggs was scheduled for EVOLVE 130 in Brooklyn on Sunday.

O’Reilly tweeted on June 14 that he wasn’t going to be able to appear at NXT UK’s television tapings at Download Festival that weekend because his back was still hurt from the Tag Team title ladder match at NXT TakeOver XXV: “The medical man told me my back is still hurt so unfortunately I won’t be able to attend @DownloadFest this year. Im sorry to all the great UK fans, believe me I’m gutted to be missing @Tool but at least now @rikbugez has an actual chance of winning the air guitar contest.”

It was announced last week that Bobby Fish also won’t be wrestling at EVOLVE 129 and 130 but will still be appearing and doing meet and greets.

Undisputed Era vs. JD Drake & Anthony Henry set for EVOLVE 129

Matt Riddle is facing Drew Gulak at that show, and Riddle sent out a tweet yesterday accepting a challenge from Curt Stallion for EVOLVE 132 in Melrose, Massachusetts the next night.

Kyle O’Reilly and Bobby Fish added to EVOLVE’s June shows

EVOLVE also noted that NXT’s Adrian Jaoude and Babatunde Aiyegbusi are scheduled for all upcoming events and that more NXT talent announcements are coming soon.

Former NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa, who underwent neck surgery in March, will be doing meet and greets at EVOLVE 129, EVOLVE 130, EVOLVE 131 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on July 13, and EVOLVE 132 in Melrose, Massachusetts on July 14.
