NXT Des Moines, IA, live results: Asuka vs. Ember Moon; Nakamura in tag main event

Submitted by Jared Walsh from the Hy-Vee Hall. Thanks to David Anderson for his report and main image.

Estimated attendance: 1000

– Rich Swann def. Tino Sabbatelli via pinfall

Short, fun opener. Swann definitely had some momentum after the Cruiserweight Classic and was quite over with the fans.

– Daria Berenato def. Peyton Royce via pinfall

– Tye Dillinger def. Riddick Moss via pinfall

The people approved of the Perfect 10 in a big way.

– Hideo Itami defeated Austin Aries via pinfall. Crowd made a lot of noise after Itami hit the GTS to pick up the victory.

– NXT Tag Team Champions The Revival def. TM61 to retain

Lots of near falls, great back and forth action, and wonderfully entertaining heel tactics from the Revival. Dash and Dawson draw real hatred from the crowd — a rarity today.

– NXT Women’s Champion Asuka def. Ember Moon by submission

Fans were relatively into this match. The women embraced afterwards as the crowd cheered for what was a pretty good match.

– NXT Champion Shinsuke Nakamura & No Way Jose defeated Bobby Roode & Samoa Joe

The crowd was a big fan of all four men, and much of the match built around each man’s particular pose. Some great action towards the end sent the fans home in high spirits as this match certainly received the biggest cheers of the evening. Post-match, Nakamura thanked the Iowa fans for coming out, and he received a massive ovation as he posed and made his way out.

WWE will return to Des Moines with the SmackDown roster on October 23.

NXT Venice, FL, live results: Asuka vs. Ember Moon

Submitted by Louis Izzo from the Venice Community Center with additional notes from @RobbyDeese

Full house in Venice, probably in the neighborhood of 300-325 people. Crowd seemed less enthusiastic than the last time they came to town. Probably has to do with the lack of star power by comparison.

– Jeet Rama defeated Noah Potjes

Rama won with a roll-up. Crowd was into Rama and chanted his name.

– Niko Bogojevic & Tucker Knight defeated Chris Atkins & Kishan Raftaar

This was a quick squash match. Bogojevic and Knight won with the Vader Bomb, then gave a post-match interview. But they were interrupted by The Revival to set up a match for later.

– Billie Kay defeated Daria Berenato

Kay won with a big boot.

– Buddy Murphy defeated Adrian Jaoude

First match to have much crowd energy. Murphy played chicken and over-sold whenever possible.

– Tino Sabbatelli defeated Angelo Dawkins

This was a long match at about 15 minutes. They played it face vs. face early before Dawkins went into heel mode.

– No Way Jose defeated Patrick Clark

Jose won with the Cobra Clutch Slam. Crowd really liked Jose. Match went longer than expected, with Clark getting some decent offense.

– Aliyah did an interview. She heeled it up, saying Breaking Ground made her look stupid, and soon she will be relevant and directly called out Asuka.

– NXT Tag Team Champions The Revival defeated Niko Bogojevic & Tucker Knight

The titles weren’t on the line. The crowd was heavily behind Bogojevic and Knight. Dawson pinned Bogojevic with his feet on the ropes and Wilder holding them in place. Bogojevic and Knight dominated the first five minutes with Dash and Dawson bumping all over the place.

Bogojevic took the brunt of their offense. Revival looked as smooth as any team in either NXT or on the main roster. Good match.

– NXT Women’s Champion Asuka defeated Ember Moon to retain her title

Moon worked hard and this was the best match of the night, but there wasn’t a huge reaction from the crowd other than occasional chanting for Asuka.

Asuka won with the Asuka Lock. They shook hands afterwards out of respect. Asuka was a total face here after the match.
