Liv Morgan appearance announced for WWE Raw

On WWE Raw this Monday, we’ll get the follow-up to Liv Morgan kissing Dominik Mysterio.

Morgan won the Women’s World Championship from Becky Lynch at King & Queen of the Ring last weekend and then defeated Lynch again in a steel cage match on Raw. Both matches involved Dominik, apparently inadvertently, interfering to help Morgan win.

After his interference caused Morgan to become champion, Dominik claimed he was going to make things right to Rhea Ripley and ensure that Morgan lost the title. But he accidentally slammed the cage door into Lynch’s face, allowing Morgan to escape with her championship. Following the match, there was an angle where Morgan planted a kiss on the confused Dominik.

WWE has announced that Morgan will be appearing on Raw this Monday:

Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan will make her first appearance since her unforgettable kiss with ‘Dirty’ Dominik Mysterio on last week’s episode of Raw.

Morgan retained her title in epic fashion by defeating Becky Lynch inside of a steel cage thanks to an inadvertent assist from Mysterio, but it’s what happened following the match that has the world buzzing.

“As she went up the ramp, Morgan planted a kiss on ‘Dirty’ Dom, leading to what should be a must-see episode of Monday Night Raw live at 8/7 C on USA!

Morgan and Zelina Vega had a social media back and forth on Friday. During the exchange, Morgan tweeted that she thinks she liked her kiss with Dominik.

Monday’s Raw is being held at the GIANT Center in Hershey, Pennsylvania. Here’s what’s been announced for the show so far:

WWE Raw (Monday, June 3) —

  • Damian Priest vs. Rey Mysterio
  • Ludwig Kaiser vs. Sheamus
  • The New Day (Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods) vs. Authors of Pain (Akam & Rezar)
  • Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan appears

WWE Raw video highlights: Liv Morgan kisses Dominik Mysterio

Liv Morgan’s first Women’s World Championship defense was a successful one — thanks to Dominik Mysterio.

Two days after losing the title to Morgan, Becky Lynch got her rematch inside of a steel cage in the main event of Raw last night. Seemingly inadvertent interference by Dominik again led to Morgan defeating Lynch. Dominik said he was going to make things right to Rhea Ripley by ensuring that Morgan lost the title. But after being pushed by Braun Strowman, Dominik accidentally slammed the cage door into Lynch’s face. That allowed Morgan to escape the cage and remain Women’s World Champion.

The dynamic between Morgan and Dominik continued to get more complicated after the match. In a moment that happened after the USA Network feed went off the air, Morgan planted a kiss on Dominik. He seemed confused by the kiss.

With Lynch’s future in question and her WWE contract scheduled to expire soon, she made the following post on social media after Raw ended:

There was also a moment earlier in the episode where, when giving a pep talk to Lyra Valkyria, Lynch said that you keep learning “until it’s time to walk away.”

Liv Morgan kisses Dominik Mysterio on WWE Raw

Liv Morgan’s Women’s World title reign is off and running thanks to an assist from Dominik Mysterio.

Morgan retained the Women’s title on Monday’s WWE Raw in a steel cage match against Becky Lynch, then kissed Mysterio, whose assist provided her the opportunity to retain.

A show-long storyline on Monday’s Raw episode involved Braun Strowman chasing down JD McDonagh, which played into Morgan’s cage match against Lynch.

Strowman defeated McDonagh in a match, then Carlito, Finn Balor, and McDonagh attacked Strowman after the bout. Strowman then chased McDonagh through the arena throughout the show. In one scene, McDonagh was seen talking to Morgan in the back of the arena before Strowman ran in and chased them off.

As Morgan wrestled Lynch, Dominik made his way to the ring and opened the cage door as Balor and McDonagh tried to keep Mysterio from interfering on Morgan’s behalf.

Strowman ran in and inadvertently slammed the cage door on Lynch’s head, allowing Morgan to escape the cage and retain.

Morgan approached Mysterio in the aisle after the match, but the USA Network feed cut off before the eventual kiss. The kiss was shown on the international feed, and WWE posted the clip on their social media channels:

Mysterio sold the kiss as though he was surprised and uninterested.

Mysterio also interfered in Morgan’s title win over Lynch at Satuday’s King & Queen of the Ring event, and a storyline alliance between the two is continuing to develop following the events on Raw.

Our full Raw report is here.

Liv Morgan wins Women’s World title at WWE King & Queen of the Ring

After botched interference by Dominik Mysterio, Liv Morgan is the new Women’s World Champion.

Morgan won the title on Saturday by defeating Becky Lynch at WWE King & Queen of the Ring. Morgan hit a DDT onto a steel chair, followed that up with Oblivion, and then pinned Lynch to get the win.

On the pre-show, Dominik told Morgan that he flew all the way to Saudi Arabia to make sure she doesn’t win the Women’s World Championship. He got involved in the match, but his interference only helped Morgan. Lynch got distracted when Dominik appeared. He then threw a steel chair in the ring seemingly hoping Lynch would use it as a weapon. But Morgan used it instead, giving Lynch a DDT onto the chair while the referee was focused on Dominik.

In storyline, Morgan has been attempting to woo Dominik so that she can take him away from Rhea Ripley. Dominik’s interference benefitting Morgan was presented as being an accident, not like he was actually trying to help Morgan.

Ripley had to vacate the Women’s World Championship this April due to a shoulder injury. Lynch then won the vacant title in a battle royal on the April 22 episode of Raw.

A feud between Ripley and Morgan was taking place when Ripley suffered her injury. It should resume once Ripley is able to return. Ripley is expected to be out of action for “quite a few months.”

This is the second Women’s Championship reign of Morgan’s career. Her first reign took place in 2022, lasting three months.

Dominik Mysterio: Sharing the ring with Eddie Guerrero was ‘an honor’

Dominik Mysterio says he is “very blessed” to have known Eddie Guerrero.

In 2005, Guerrero was involved in an angle with Dominik and Rey Mysterio on WWE SmackDown. In storyline, Guerrero was revealed to be Dominik’s biological father but Mysterio won custody of the 8-year-old in a match at SummerSlam that year. Guererro passed away from heart failure less than three months later at the age of 38.

Dominik recently told Sports Illustrated that sharing a ring with Guerrero was an honor.

“Not everyone can say they worked with Eddie,” said Dominik. “I hear people say, ‘My dream match would be Eddie Guerrero.’ Shit, mine too. Looking back, just sharing the ring with him, it’s an honor.”

Guerrero will be featured on Sunday’s edition of Biography: WWE Legends on A&E.

“Eddie helped plant the seed in 2005 that this was what I was going to do,” Dominik continued. “I’m very blessed to have known him, and I am always grateful to keep his memory alive.”

While it’s not clear if Guerrero is still Dominik’s biological father in WWE storyline, he often emulates Guerrero in his matches, something he says he received permission from Vickie Guerrero to do.

Dominik is currently on the shelf with a Tommy John tear but recently said his recovery is going well. He’s now been wrestling on the WWE main roster for close to four years, with his first match having been against Seth Rollins at SummerSlam 2020. Dominik knows he’s carrying the weight of his family’s legacy and does not plan to let them down.

“I was raised on that old-school love of the business,” Dominik continued. “That’s a big part of our family dynamic. We have a lot of respect for the Mysterio name and this sport. I’m carrying lineage, my family, and history on my shoulders. My six godfathers, who are all legends, I’m not going to let them down.”

Much like his father Rey Mysterio and his storyline father Eddie Guerrero, Dominik credits Konnan for much of his success, saying he can always count on him for honest advice.

“Konnan, man, he’s the tough love I always needed,” said Dominik. “Especially if you know him, you know he calls it how it is. He doesn’t sugarcoat. Personally, that’s something I needed. I don’t want to say the wrong thing and get in trouble here, but starting off in the business, as the son of Rey Mysterio, you don’t know what’s what. I could have a sh—- match and people would say, ‘That was really good’ just to be on my good side. You don’t know what’s it’s real or not. But then I’d get a call from Konnan. He’d say, ‘Your punches looked like shit,’ ‘You need to work on this,’ or ‘Stop doing the 619 if you’re not going to do it properly.’

Dominik believes Konnan gives him the “tough love” he needs.

“Konnan gave me tough love, right from when I started training with him and my dad. He still keeps an eye out on my matches, and I’m a student of the game–so I’m always willing to learn from someone who revolutionized the sport.”

WWE’s Dominik Mysterio says elbow injury is ‘healing up good’

Dominik Mysterio is progressing well in his recovery from an elbow injury.

For more than a month now, Dominik has been out of action. He was injured while facing Andrade on the April 15 episode of WWE Raw. The injury was considered to be a “freak accident.”

It was originally feared that Dominik would need to undergo Tommy John surgery, but he’s chosen to rehab the injury through physical therapy instead of having surgery done. Dave Meltzer reported earlier this month that Dominik was expecting to return to the ring in 6-8 weeks.

Dominik confirmed that timetable in an interview with The Masked Man Show that was published on Monday. He’s doing rehab two times per week and says the injury is healing up well.

“Arm’s good, arm’s healing up good,” Dominik said. “I had a slight tear in my Tommy John ligament, which was kind of like a freak accident in the wrestling world because it’s a baseball injury. But, yeah, about 6-8 weeks. I’ve been doing two times a week for rehab. So I’m just trying to get healthy and trying to get back out there to help The Judgment Day so they can physically start hurting again.”

Judgment Day’s Rhea Ripley is also on the shelf right now due to injury.

While injured, Dominik has remained on WWE TV as a television character. There’s been a storyline with Liv Morgan attempting to woo Dominik as a way for Morgan to get revenge against Ripley.

Rey Mysterio: Separating our WWE team is best thing that’s happened to Dominik

Rey Mysterio thinks separating their tag team is the best thing that’s ever happened to Dominik’s WWE career.

While appearing on Rampage Jackson’s Jaxxon Podcast, Rey discussed the success that his son has found in WWE. Rey said Dominik has shown incredible growth over the past three years. At first, Dominik struggled to live up to the comparisons that were made between him and his father. But Rey believes turning heel and no longer having his dad by his side has helped Dominik thrive.

“For my son to come in out of nowhere and not have my style, have a different build. He’s 6’1. He’s about 190 [lbs]. So it was very hard for him at the beginning to try to adapt and find his role as a wrestler,” Rey said. “The comparisons — they were made. And of course, he couldn’t live up to them. Not until we separated and he continued on his own path without having his dad by his side. And that was the best thing that could have ever happened to him.”

Rey and Dominik were paired together when Dominik debuted for WWE in 2020. They became the first father-son tag team champions in WWE history, but Dominik later turned against Rey and joined The Judgment Day. Dominik is a member of the group with Rhea Ripley, Damian Priest, Finn Balor, and JD McDonagh.

On the Jaxxon Podcast, Rey expressed how proud he is of his son’s success.

“In the past three years, he’s had the success that I never had in three years breaking in the business,” Mysterio said. “I mean, times are different. But as a father you could only imagine how proud I am. Incredible.”

Rey and Dominik faced each other in a singles match at WrestleMania 39 and were also opponents in a tag team match at WrestleMania 40.

Dominik is out of action right now due to an elbow injury. It was originally thought that he would need to undergo Tommy John surgery, but Dominik is opting to rehab the injury through physical therapy instead of having surgery. Dave Meltzer reported on May 3 that Dominik expects to return to the ring in 6-8 weeks.

Update on timeline for Dominik Mysterio’s WWE in-ring return

With Dominik Mysterio avoiding elbow surgery, it looks like he’ll be back in the ring fairly soon.

It was feared that Dominik would need to undergo Tommy John surgery, but he’s rehabbing the injury through physical therapy instead of having surgery done. Dave Meltzer reports in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Dominik expects to be back in 6-8 weeks.

Dominik Mysterio, who was at first expected to need surgery for his elbow injury, will instead be avoiding surgery and going with [physical] therapy. He expects to be back in six to eight weeks. As noted last week, the injury was viewed as a freak accident in his 4/15 match on TV with Andrade.

There’s an ongoing storyline where WWE is teasing something between Dominik and Liv Morgan. The two could be seen coming out of the same room on Raw earlier this week. The storyline is happening while Dominik’s Judgment Day partner Rhea Ripley is out of action for “quite a few months” due to a shoulder injury.

Morgan was feuding with Ripley at the time of her injury and has taken credit for forcing Ripley out of action. Ripley had to vacate the Women’s World Championship, with the title then being won by Becky Lynch.

Dominik, Damian Priest, Finn Balor, and JD McDonagh remained on the Raw roster in the WWE Draft. Morgan was also drafted to Raw. Ripley wasn’t included in the draft due to her injury.

Update: WWE’s Dominik Mysterio not undergoing surgery

Update —

Dominik Mysterio posted a tweet today denying that he’ll be undergoing surgery for his injury.

**********

WWE star Dominik Mysterio is set to undergo a surgery most commonly associated with baseball pitchers.

On Raw this week, Dominik was supposed to team with JD McDonagh against Andrade & Ricochet. But Dominik appeared with his arm in a sling and was pulled from the match. Andrade & Ricochet instead defeated McDonagh & Santos Escobar.

The injury that Dominik suffered was legitimate. In the new edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reports that Dominik will be undergoing Tommy John surgery, which is an elbow operation that repairs the ulnar collateral ligament.

Meltzer writes that the plan right now is to keep Dominik on television as a character while he recovers from surgery:

Dominik Mysterio also had an elbow injury. It apparently happened in a 4/15 match with Andrade and was described to us as a freak accident. He will be undergoing Tommy John surgery on his elbow which for a baseball pitcher means at least nine months out. Since he doesn’t have to throw pitches hard, his recovery time would probably be a little shorter. As of right now, the plan would be to keep him as a television character while recovering. He was off the European tour and had his arm in a sling at Raw.

Dominik is part of The Judgment Day in WWE with Rhea Ripley, World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest, Finn Balor, and JD McDonagh. Ripley is also currently out of action with an injury.

Due to a shoulder injury, Ripley had to vacate the Women’s World Championship. The title is now held by Becky Lynch. Ripley will be out of action for “quite a few months.”

WWE’s Dominik Mysterio out of action with an injury

Dominik Mysterio is out of action.

On WWE Raw, Mysterio appeared with his arm in a sling and told Damian Priest that he was banged up, so he brought in Santos Escobar to team with JD McDonagh later in the show against Ricochet and Andrade. Priest didn’t like the idea but told Escobar to handle things.

Fightful Select reported that Mysterio’s injury was legit, and they have not heard of a timetable for his return. They also reported that Mysterio had been pulled from WWE’s recent European tour. His last match was on the April 15 edition of Raw, where he lost to Andrade.

McDonagh and Escobar on Raw went on to lose to Ricochet and Andrade. Immediately after the match, Priest came in and laid out the winners. He then told Mysterio and McDonagh that he didn’t need them, but they needed him.

Another Judgment Day member, Rhea Ripley, announced she would be out of action due to a shoulder injury on last week’s Raw, vacating the Women’s World Championship. Becky Lynch won a battle royal on Monday to become the new champion.

Andrade replacing Dragon Lee in WWE WrestleMania 40 match

A change has been made to the card for WWE WrestleMania 40.

Dragon Lee was supposed to team with Rey Mysterio against Santos Escobar & Dominik Mysterio at WrestleMania 40 night one this Saturday. But there was an angle on Friday’s SmackDown where Lee was taken out in a backstage attack. The tag match will now be Rey & Andrade vs. Escobar & Dominik.

Andrade aligned with the LWO on SmackDown, saving Rey from an attack by Escobar and Dominik. The heels thought they had Andrade on their side until he put a stop to their beatdown of Rey.

WWE did not reveal the identity of Lee’s attacker. Though it was presumed that Legado del Fantasma were behind the attack, Carlito is another possible culprit. Carlito is a member of the LWO but has looked unhappy about not being Rey’s WrestleMania partner.

The updated lineups for WrestleMania 40 are listed below. Each night has a start time of 7 p.m. Eastern. There will also be pre-shows airing from 5-7 p.m. both nights.

WWE made official on SmackDown Lowdown that Rey Mysterio will team with the newest member of the LWO Dragon Lee against Santos Escobar and Dominik Mysterio. The match comes after the events of Friday’s SmackDown which saw Mysterio challenge Dominik & Escobar after a confrontation between members of LWO and Legado del Fantasma turned into a brawl.

Mysterio recently made his return to WWE after Escobar put Mysterio out of action by attacking his knee. The two faced off on SmackDown last week which ended when Dominik interfered on behalf of Escobar, allowing him to score the victory.

WWE star Dominik Mysterio gets married

WWE star Dominik Mysterio is now a married man.

The 26-year-old Dominik and his longtime girlfriend Marie Juliette were married in a ceremony this week. Among those in attendance were two of Dominik’s Judgment Day stablemates: Rhea Ripley and Damian Priest. Ripley posted a photo of her, Dominik, and Priest together on Instagram.

She wrote: “What an amazing love filled day! Congratulations @dominik_35 and @_marie_juliette!!”

Priest and Austin Theory were two of the groomsmen at the wedding.

Like his promos in WWE, Dominik got booed when he tried to speak at the reception.

https://twitter.com/ripleylord/status/1765954692813582478

High school sweethearts Dominik and Juliette have been together for more than a decade. They announced their engagement in January 2023.

Before his wedding, Dominik lost a non-title match against Intercontinental Champion Gunther on Raw earlier this week

Dominik had been teased as a potential WrestleMania challenger for Gunther. Instead, it will be either Sami Zayn, Chad Gable, Ricochet, Bronson Reed, Shinsuke Nakamura, or JD McDonagh. Those six wrestlers are facing off in a gauntlet match on Raw next Monday (March 11). The winner advances to face Gunther at WrestleMania.

Dominik is a former NXT North American Champion and SmackDown Tag Team Champion in WWE. His tag title reign was with his father Rey Mysterio.

The Miz vs. Dominik Mysterio added to WWE Raw

A new match has been added to this Monday’s Raw.

WWE announced on Saturday that The Miz will face Dominik Mysterio. R-Truth, who continues to believe he is a member of Judgment Day, has recently reunited with his former tag team partner Miz.

The preview on WWE.com says:

Miz and Mysterio have quite the history, with The Awesome One holding a 2-1 record over Mysterio in singles action. The Miz also captured a WrestleMania victory over Mysterio, having defeated him and his father Rey in a tag team match with Logan Paul at The Showcase of the Immortals several years ago.

Who will walk out the winner when The A-Lister takes on “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio?

Since returning from a torn quad late last year, R-Truth has insisted he is part of The Judgment Day. Finn Balor and other members of the group have expressed interest in sending the message that he’s not, but Damian Priest has held back, defending Truth to the rest of the stable.

Here is the updated lineup for Monday’s Raw:

  • CM Punk & Cody Rhodes face-to-face
  • Damian Priest vs. Drew McIntyre
  • Chad Gable vs. Ivar
  • Ivy Nile vs. Valhalla
  • The Miz vs. Dominik Mysterio
  • Seth Rollins will kick off Raw and address his future as World Heavyweight Champion
