DR. KEITH PRESENTS: ‘I was there when…’

This week’s DKP sees us, for the first time, look at a single match from wrestling history with someone who “was there when…” Yes, it’s yet another new mini-series in the DKP portfolio, and the first guest will be Brendan Quinn who was there when Kota Ibushi tore the house down at the ECW Arena against El Generico, Nick Jackson, and Jigsaw.

It was from night two of Chikara’s King of Trios 2009 and it is a match which they have for free on their YouTube channel with over 110,000 views! This was a huge match in indie wrestling at the time and Brendan & Alan dissect every aspect of it this week on the DKP!!! CHECK IT!!

The DKP is back this weekend to put a lid on 2016 with the second part of our Capsule Comp special! Mixtape, Scrapbook, Best Of, whatever you want to call it, it’s our way of remembering what was one heck of a year for wrestling.

2017 may have started out hot but it’s going to have a lot to do to eclipse the magic of 2016. Matt McEwen joins Alan to attempt to describe that magic as we run down his Capsule Comp which includes some matches and names you might not have expected!

The DKP is back continuing our Year In Review series with a bit of a new concept as Joey Bay returns to the show tasked with creating a 2016 Capsule Compilation!

The matches, moments, and interviews that defined the year are discussed as Joey plots out what he’d want to show someone 20 years from now. Alan of course had to give his two cents, and he also provides you the dear listener with a rundown of the first half of his personal compilation, with the second half to follow next week along with another guest who’ll have a comp of their own!

We kick off the new year of the DKP early with the first show of a month-long look back at the year that was 2016.

Bellies are full after a lovely roast and more Roses, Celebrations, and other mini chocolates than you should eat in one go. Unfortunately that means the time has come to wrap-up the 2016 Dr. Keith Christmas Party, but fear not, the lads at the mansion go out with a bang.

Yes, as always we have Eamo and Justin on cleanup duty as the First Triumvirate of The DKP gather for the first time in FOUR MONTHS to discuss the letter “O” in wrestling (continuing Just A to Z’s) and as it’s Christmas they also go OVER THE TOP and break out the big screen movie projector to see Sly Stallone, Scott Norton, and Terry Funk in all their glory.

Alan recruited THE YOUNG BOY Case Lowe (don’t worry he went right back to his squats and kitchen chores afterwards) to discuss the journey of Tozawa to this point where he heads to America as WWE’s latest signee.

The lads discuss the Tozawa-Juku days, the Metabolic Brothers, Tozawa’s US excursion and the incredible matches he had in PWG & DGUSA, and his incredible portfolio of work put together in the last 5 years since he returned to Japan.

The great man chats with Alan about all the action which featured at least one strong MOTYC, a number of breakout performances, the best heel in wrestling (Jinny!!!) and much more.

In this case “much more” may include both kebab talk and artistic hindu squats! Following that, Alan talks with JT Dunn at the end of a tremendous weekend for himself and his partner Chris Hero which saw Death By Elbow go international!
