AEW stronghold to close for several years due to renovations

Daily’s Place — the home of AEW during the height of the pandemic and an annual stop for AEW shows — will be unavailable for use over the next two years at minimum.

A concert next week will close the Jacksonville, Florida, outdoor venue for both 2026, 2027 and likely most of 2028 as part of the Khan family’s “Stadium of the Future” project that will connect Daily’s Place to the NFL’s Jacksonville Jaguars’ EverBank Stadium.

The project is expected to be completed in 2028. The city owns the eight year old venue while Shad Khan’s Bold Events runs operations. The stadium itself will be shut down in 2027 with the Jaguars playing at WWE WrestleMania venue Camping World Stadium in Orlando for that season instead.

AEW last appeared at Daily’s Place in October for its Title Tuesday event and a Wednesday Collision taping. Aside from a month-long April stint in Norcross, Georgia, at the Nightmare Factory, the venue was the home of AEW from March 2020 through June 2021 during COVID.
