NWA Television title match announced for Back For The Attack

A match for the NWA Television title has been announced for the NWA’s Back For The Attack pay-per-view.

NWA’s social media announced this afternoon that Pope (Elijah Burke) will defend the NWA Television title against Thom Latimer. Pope won the championship on October 20, defeating Zicky Dice after he held the championship for 268 days.

Back For the Attack will air on FITE TV. The following Tuesday, NWA Power will return for the first time in a year, also on FITE TV. The company shut down in March due to the COVID-19 pandemic, with much of the NWA roster competing on the weekly UWN Primetime Live series that aired last fall. The UWN’s weekly shows stopped in December also due to COVID-19.

Matches already announced for Back For The Attack, which will take place on March 21, include:

  • Nick Aldis vs. Aron Stevens for the NWA World’s Heavyweight title
  • Crimson vs. Jax Dane vs. Jordan Clearwater vs. Slice Boogie in a four-way match
  • Thunder Rosa vs. Kamille to determine the number one contendership for the NWA World Women’s title.

Impact Wrestling’s Bram injured during match in Italy

Impact Wrestling’s Thomas Latimer, also known as Bram, was injured last night in a match in Rome, Italy.

Nick “Magnus” Aldis, who was working on the show with Latimer, wrote that Latimer was badly injured, and was undergoing surgery. He said that he wouldn’t go into specifics because he would let Latimer do so, but he said that the surgery went fine.

“He was in good spirits, but shaken up as it was a nasty injury,” Aldis said.

Latimer was not in a major program with Impact and at least as of the last lineup we received, was not scheduled for the Slammiversary pay-per-view on July 2nd at the Impact Zone in Orlando, Florida.

Aldis said he was told that the surgery went fine, but that they were not very forthcoming with more information.

Aldis noted that obviously Latimer would not be able to wrestle on a show in Plymouth, England today.

TNA News: Thomas “Bram” Latimer arrested and suspended

By Dave Meltzer, WrestlingObserver.com

TNA wrestler Thomas Latimer, better known as Bram, was arrested and charged with two counts of domestic battery and false imprisonment by the Gulfport, FL, Police Department.

He was immediately suspended by the promotion, which wrote that they are working to get facts and additional information regarding the arrest. The incident occured Sunday at just before 6 a.m.  He is currently in Pinellas County jail.

“The charges against Thomas Latimer are serious, and he is immediately and indefinitely suspended from any future TNA-sanctioned events awaiting the outcome of the case,” said TNA Executive Vice President of Television and Talent John Gaburick.

Latimer is no longer married to Ashley Fliehr, aka Charlotte in WWE.  According to both WWE and family members, the incident did not involve her.

When police investigated the incident after responding to a call, Latimer was there with a woman who identified herself as his girlfriend.

The police report listed that the couple was arguing and the woman seeked refuse in her bedroom.  The report alleged that Latimer followed her in, closed the door and refused to allow her to leave, pushed the woman onto the bed and held her down by her throat.
