MJF vs. Brandon Cutler set for AEW on TNT premiere

Another match has been added to the card for AEW’s television debut.

On this week’s episode of Being the Elite, it was announced that MJF vs. Brandon Cutler will take place on the AEW on TNT premiere. In storyline, The Young Bucks booked Cutler in the match after being bullied by MJF on Being the Elite.

This will be Cutler’s second match for AEW. He also took part in the Casino Battle Royale on the Double or Nothing pre-show. The Young Bucks offering Cutler a full-time deal with AEW as a wrestler and executive content producer was shown on a Being the Elite episode in May.

MJF was also an entrant in the Casino Battle Royale at Double or Nothing. Hangman Page defeated Jimmy Havoc, Jungle Boy, and MJF in a four-way match at Fyter Fest, then Shawn Spears, Sammy Guevara & MJF defeated Darby Allin, Joey Janela & Havoc at Fight for the Fallen.

At All Out, MJF was in Cody Rhodes’ corner for Cody’s match against Spears.

The Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C. is hosting the AEW on TNT premiere on Wednesday, October 2. It will also feature Kenny Omega & The Young Bucks vs. Chris Jericho and two mystery partners, Nyla Rose vs. Riho to determine the first AEW Women’s Champion, and Cody vs. Guevara.

AEW to crown Women’s Champion on TNT premiere

One of AEW’s inaugural champions will be crowned on the promotion’s TNT premiere.

It was announced via Sports Illustrated today that the first AEW Women’s Champion will be decided on their first television episode. The Women’s World title belt is set to be unveiled at All Out on August 31.

Further details on how the Women’s Champion will be determined will be revealed on next week’s Road to All Out episode.

“For many female wrestlers, the opportunity to fight for the title represents the crowning achievement of their careers,” Brandi Rhodes told Sports Illustrated. “The AEW Women’s Championship will be the cornerstone of the women’s division.”

“The championship will be treated with the utmost respect and prestige,” Rhodes said. “We hope to inspire future female wrestlers to dream of holding such a meaningful title.”

AEW’s TV premiere is taking place at the Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C. on Wednesday, October 2, with tickets going on sale tomorrow (August 2) at noon Eastern time. Kenny Omega & The Young Bucks vs. Chris Jericho and two mystery partners has been announced for the episode. Cody Rhodes will also face Sammy Guevara.

The winner of Jericho vs. Hangman Page at All Out will become the first AEW World Champion. Best Friends (Trent Barreta & Chuck Taylor) are facing The Dark Order (Evil Uno & Stu Grayson) at All Out, with the winning team getting a first-round bye in AEW’s upcoming Tag Team title tournament.

Omega & Young Bucks vs. Jericho & partners set for AEW TNT premiere

Kenny Omega & The Young Bucks will be facing off with Chris Jericho on AEW’s first television episode.

AEW has announced Omega & The Young Bucks vs. Jericho and two mystery partners for their TNT premiere. The episode is taking place at the Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C. on Wednesday, October 2.

Jericho defeated Omega in the main event of Double or Nothing in May. Jericho will face Hangman Page at All Out on August 31 to decide the first AEW World Champion.

This is the second match to be revealed for AEW’s first TV episode. Cody Rhodes vs. Sammy Guevara is also set for the show.

Tickets for the TNT premiere will go on sale at noon Eastern time this Friday (August 2). The TV show is a two-hour live weekly series and will air on Wednesdays from 8-10 p.m. Eastern time. It will take place from different cities across the country each week.

Cody vs. Sammy Guevara announced for AEW’s TNT premiere

AEW has made their first match announcement for October’s TNT premiere.

Cody Rhodes will face Sammy Guevara on AEW’s first television episode. The show is taking place at the Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C. on Wednesday, October 2 and will air on TNT from 8-10 p.m. Eastern time.

In his matches for AEW thus far, Cody has defeated Dustin Rhodes, went to a 20-minute time-limit draw with Darby Allin, and teamed with Dustin in a loss against The Young Bucks. Guevara lost to Kip Sabian in his AEW debut, then teamed with Shawn Spears & MJF to defeat Allin, Joey Janela & Jimmy Havoc in a six-man tag match.

Cody vs. Spears has been set up for All Out on August 31 but has yet to be officially announced.

Tickets for AEW’s first TV episode will go on sale this Friday (August 2) at noon Eastern time. The two-hour live weekly show will air on Wednesdays and will take place in different cities across the country each week.

The name for AEW’s TV series has yet to be confirmed.
