The full lineup for the show:

  • Kevin Knight vs. Claudio Castagnoli for the TNT Championship
  • Kamille vs. Willow Nightingale for the TBS Championship
  • MJF vs. Darby Allin for the AEW World Championship

Our live coverage begins at 8 p.m. Eastern.

**********************************

AEW Dynamite comes on the air with Renee Paquette outside the arena as a car pulls up and AEW Champion MJF steps out. MJF kept cutting Paquette off so he can run down the list of who he’s beaten in this current reign and how he kicked out of the ineffective One-Winged Angel. Paquette was about to tell him some info when Don Callis walks in to wish him the best of luck tonight, apologizing for the whole Andrade thing. MJF didn’t know Andrade lost at the PPV, saying he was too busy preparing for the main event of Dynasty. MJF said Callis owes him a favor and he still loves him, but tell Andrade he’s not championship material. Paquette screams at MJF that Darby Allin is challenging him tonight, right now actually. MJF yelled “what the f*ck?” and we go right to the ring for Allin’s entrance.

Excalibur is joined by Bryan Danielson & Tony Schiavone and they talk about Allin’s hometown crowd, as they’re chanting Allin’s name loudly. MJF stormed to the ring in his suit to tell the little emo freak he’s as stupid as he looks if he thinks MJF is wrestling in an impromptu title match. Perhaps the fans are too braindead to understand how much money MJF has, if he doesn’t want something to happen, it won’t happen. He’ll sue everyone, including the skank ref, Aubrey, the little pervert, Justin Roberts, even Tony Khan and anyone who chooses to live in the dumpster fire that is Washington. MJF’s back hurts from wrestling Kenny Omega almost an hour ago at Dynasty and wonders how the company would look like if they forced MJF to wrestle tonight. MJF said he’s doing Allin a favor, saying he’s good, not great, not championship material. With love and respect, Allin isn’t ready to be World…

Allin ripped the mic away and said all it takes is one night to drop the wrestling world on its head. If he’s not ready now, he’ll never be, as he’s killed himself for this company. He’s taped posters around the city for this show, he hung the AEW flag atop of Mount Rushmore for this company and in tears now said his career started 10 miles from here at the Buddy Wayne Academy. He took a deep breathe his first day of school saying he’ll either succeed or fail as Darby Allin, not changing a thing. Tonight, he’ll climb atop the top of this sport, so ring the bell.

MJF said they’re not ringing the bell, but Danielson stood up and said he just got a message from Tony Khan, saying he actually agrees with MJF, that it’s unfair to wrestle when he’s unprepared. That’s why Khan will give him plenty of time to prepare, as this will happen in the main event. Crowd does the Yes chants, as Danielson says if MJF refuses, he’ll be stripped of the title. Allin spun MJF around and screamed he’s beating MJF’s ass with a headlock takeover. Allin leapt out of the ring, slammed himself into the railings before going to the back.

-Tony Schiavone caught up with Kenny Omega after the main event of Dynasty, as Omega said he’s got nothing and apologizes. The camera goes into the trainers room where Will Ospreay is still being worked on, as Omega asks if he’s doing ok? Ospreay said no, but welcome to the club. Omega said this isn’t how he pictured it for either of them, as he feels like he let everyone down. Ospreay cut him off saying he was there when Omega lost to Okada in the Tokyo Dome in 2017 and saw him fight back and win the big one. Omega said he doesn’t have time left, but Ospreay does, it’s his time, he knows Ospreay can take it back. Ospreay said they’ve still got this. He’s been crying the last 40 minutes, but his dream is still being the AEW World Champion and hopes Omega hasn’t given up on it, either, he knows Omega can do it. Both of them agree to have one another’s backs. Ospreay leaves and Omega says to himself “I’m you’re hero, huh? Maybe I can’t give up, maybe there’s still a chance.”

Tommaso Ciampa vs. Dezmond Xavier

(While Xavier had his hope spots, this was quite a dominant showing for Ciampa and a good way to get him over as a potential threat for whoever the AEW World Champion is when the night is over.)

Ciampa rushed Xavier at the bell, attacking in the ring and briefly outside before heading back in, where Xavier used his speed to battle back momentarily before being decked with a running Ciampa knee off the apron. Xavier vaulted over the ring steps, as back inside, both trade strikes until Xavier popped off a snap dropkick, forcing Ciampa to take a powder. Crowd tried to start bald chants, Ciampa wasn’t having it and said he’s not Ricochet. Ciampa gained control back inside with a kitchen sink and kept Xavier grounded.

Xavier escaped a headlock, mounting a comeback with a springboard Tornado DDT before quickly going up top, rolling through a 450, eating a rolling elbow from Ciampa. Xavier reversed Project Ciampa into a hurricanrana pin for two, tripped up Ciampa to the outside where he was met with a low Tope. Back inside, sense of urgency, Frog Splash hits for a near fall. Thrust kick catches Ciampa, as Xavier tried another springing DDT, but Ciampa caught him with a pump knee in mid-air. Project Ciampa destroys Xavier, as Ciampa lowers the kneepad and took Xavier’s head off for the win.

Post-match, Ciampa took the mic saying this was an example, he’s sick of waiting, he wants it all of the gold. If he’s not making himself clear, Darby Allin, Maxwell Jacob Friedman, whoever wins, the Psycho Killer is coming for the AEW World Title. Ciampa punt kicks Xavier in the ribs for good measure before ripping up fans signs ringside.

Match Result: Tommaso Ciampa defeated Dezmond Xavier

-Video package for Darby Allin is shown and the hell he’s had to go through over his time in AEW to get to this moment tonight. We go back to the first meeting between MJF & Allin, with MJF winning via side headlock (and Dynamite Diamond Ring). We see Allin defeating Andrade and MJF defeating Omega at Dynasty. Also a post-match promo MJF cut with Renee Paquette saying he’s going to celebrate his win, going dark on socials (thus explains why MJF had no idea about tonight’s title match.)

FTR Talk Their Dynasty Victory

Dax Harwood said he’s heard the chatter online and it seems that FTR winning again has made everyone angry and he gets it. The fans love an underdog story because they feel like they can relate, but they aren’t underdogs, they’re losers. Speaking of losers, they gave Adam Copeland & Christian Cage a brush with relevancy and they couldn’t get the job done. As long as FTR are AEW Tag Team Champions, they’ll never get a shot at the titles again. Stokely said he’s been told the sickos know everything about everything, so clearly, they know the story of David vs. Goliath. FTR are Goliath, while there’s a lot of Milli Vanilli’s in the back like Brodido, Bang Bang Gang, Cope & Christian and every time David steps up to Goliath, they get bitched out. Stokely knows that Tony Khan will sign every chud to put them into the tag division, but they’ll all fall to the giants known as FTR.

Cash Wheeler said that was beautifully said and would like to pay homage to ridding us all from Copeland & Cage and calls for a moment of silence. For those of you with flash photography, they’re giving the fans a 10 second pose. Stokely lays out and FTR poses with the titles, flipping the fans off, saying Seattle has been great.

Kevin Knight vs. Claudio Castagnoli for the TNT Title

(Just a damn good power vs. speed showdown, as this was an excellent first challenger for Knight to start his reign. It definitely sounds like in the post-match promo that we’re setting up possible competitors potentially for the Owen Hart Tournament, if that’s starting soon. Ciampa & Knight calling their shots would certainly indicate it will be.)

Renee Paquette is ringside and said Washington is the place Kevin Knight started his career (also at the Buddy Wayne Academy), so what better way to kick off his TNT Title reign, as he’s spent plenty of time studying for this match. Castagnoli made his entrance right behind her and was standing atop the guard rail looking down at her as she kept talking about the match looking up at him in what was a cool visual.

Castagnoli charged at the bell, but Knight was ready with multiple pin attempts and high dropkick, sending Castagnoli reeling outside with a clothesline. Quickly back in, Castagnoli flattened Knight before take off with a lariat and boots aplenty. Keeping Knight grounded, Castagnoli worked a neck crank, but Knight managed a hip toss outside and launched off the apron for a flying clothesline. However, back inside, Castagnoli gained control with his power advantage, continuing to work over Knight, as the crowd started “Let’s Go Jet” chants. Knight used his speed to thwart the power, got a few more pin attempts, before leaping over Castagnoli into a lariat and double down.

Knight ate a few uppercuts before finally able to bodyslam Castagnoli, something he was unsuccessful at the previous few attempts. Leaping standing splash got a near fall, as Castagnoli was dropkicked off the top to the outside, as Knight cleared the top rope for a huge dive. Back inside, Knight tried his standing jump hurricanrana from the corner, but Castagnoli caught him, powered him back up the ropes, wanting an Avalanche Neutralizer, only Knight fought off. It wasn’t timed perfect, but Castagnoli threw Knight off the top, leapt with him for a huge uppercut for two. Knight tried another springboard, but was plucked out of the air for a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker for two. Giant Swing is dished out, as Castagnoli wanted a Sharpshooter, Knight fought it, dodged a catapult in the corner for a leaping lariat. Quickly up top, Knight hit the UFO Splash for the win.

Post-match, Knight put over Castagnoli as one of the hardest hitting guys he’s ever been in the ring with. The Jet is looking good as the new TNT Champion and brings up losing the Trios Titles the night before Dynasty and how Speedball Bailey is still beating himself up over the loss, but don’t let it get you down, you see how fast it can call change. Knight said he’ll be keeping a close eye on the main event, as Jet 2 Belts sounds Jet 2 Fly.

Match Result: Kevin Knight defeated Claudio Castagnoli to retain the TNT Title

-Footage of Ricochet defeating Jericho at Dynasty was shown, ending with a Spirit Gun that could’ve ended it, but a Lionsault by Ricochet for good measure sealed the deal.

Renee Paquette interviews Jericho

Jericho was met with a loud ovation from Washington, as Paquette asks how it feels to be back. Jericho said it was one of his favorite performances at Dynasty, even though he lost, which he says was because he was outnumbered 3 on 1, but gives credit where it’s due. The Demand’s music hits immediately and Ricochet tells the fans to sit down and shut up. Ricochet respects Jericho, especially after his valiant performance at Dynasty, but he didn’t listen, so the opportunity presented itself for Ricochet to take Jericho out with his own move, which is now The Ricosault. Despite that, Jericho didn’t embarrass himself, but it wasn’t enough to avoid the Rise of Ricochet, so do yourself a favor, quit while you’re ahead. However, Jericho runs down all the reincarnations of Jericho, but says to make this new one the one who stays home after getting his ass kicked by The Demand and it could be the best run of his career.

Jericho takes the mic and calls The Ricosault brutal and starts working Bald, Dumb & Ugly into his promo like he’s Mr. Subliminal. Ricochet knows what he’s doing and he’s not going to bite. Jericho calls him scared (and bald), so Ricochet tells Kaun & Liona to stay at the ramp, he’ll take care of this. Ricochet hits the ring and gets his ass kicked quickly, calling for Kaun & Liona, who rush the ring and the 3-on-1 attack is on. They plant Jericho with Open The Gates before The Ricosault is hit yet again as The Demand stand tall.

-After Dynasty on Sunday, Renee Paquette asked Don Callis & Kazuchika Okada what happened out there when Konosuke Takeshita walked by, saying it was an accident, mockingly saying I’m So Sorry! Okada had to be held back by Callis, as Takeshita walked away smiling.

Will Ospreay vs. Hechicero

(I was initially worried that Ospreay was going to get way more offense than he should’ve considering the hell his neck went through at the PPV. Hechicero turned it on and I very much enjoyed how they worked a commercial break with the doctor tending initially to Ospreay, but Hechicero ultimately kept up his onslaught. Ospreay found a way, which I think is safe to say will be the story going forward, as it should. Post-match, another Callis monster shows up and is the next obstacle for Ospreay on his way to the title.)

Ospreay was heavily wincing taking off his entrance robe, as Bryan Danielson talks how this could be an incredibly bad idea to wrestle this soon after what happened at Dynasty against Jon Moxley. Don Callis walks out and gives an entrance to Hechicero as only he can (I think I caught a Super Nintendo in there). Despite Ospreay being heavily taped up, it was an even back and forth ground work early. Ospreay managed to fire off a snap hurricanrana that sent Hechicero outside, as Ospreay met him with a slingshot cross body. 10 corner punches back inside by Ospreay, who sinks in a Figure Four to keep Hechicero grounded. Marina Shafir is shown watching in the front row, as a series of standing switches led to Hechicero hitting a spinning hammerlock backbreaker and corner step-up knee to the back for two. Surfboard Stretch and pulling the hair to crank the neck back even more, as Hechicero stayed in control until Ospreay fired off a desperation handspring corkscrew kick for the reset.

Ospreay hit Pip, Pip, Cheerio and a standing Sky Twister Press, both of which netted near falls. Both rise and the straps have come down for Hechicero, who dodges a trifecta of strikes, until Ospreay floated over a hip toss into an enzugiri. Ospreay wanted Hidden Blade, but Hechicero countered into his Guillotine Head Scissors Driver for two, as Ospreay got his foot on the rope. Callis left commentary pissed off, arguing with referee Rick Knox, as Hechicero was relentless on his attack as Doc Sampson came in to check on Ospreay. Hechicero grabbed Ospreay, took him outside and slammed him onto the railing, taking him back in the ring, locking in a head scissors, continuing to target the neck. Back to the floor, Hechicero cleared the top with a huge dive before going back inside up top for a diving bulldog for two.

Out of nowhere, Ospreay managed a desperation Stundog Millionaire, Cheeky Nandos, tried a reverse slam, but Hechicero into a roll-up for two. Both continue trading pin attempts until Ospreay hit a thrust kick, Oscutter blocked, as Hechicero rolled Ospreay into a cross arm-breaker into a triangle choke. Ospreay powered up into a Styles Clash and Hidden Blade for the win.

Post-match, Ospreay stared down Callis & Lance Archer when he was attacked from behind by Mark Davis, who squashed Ospreay and stood tall over him. So that’ll be his next mountain to climb.

Match Result: Will Ospreay defeated Hechicero

(Editor’s Note: Josh Nason took over at this point this due to tornado warnings in Ryan’s town. Be safe, Ryan!)

Thekla/Alex Windsor segment

The AEW Women’s World Champion interrupted Renee Paquette and came out to crow about defending the title against Jamie Hayter at Dynasty. That brought out Alex Windsor and they had a verbal exchange that led to a match being made for Collision. One funny moment was Windsor saying Thekla was stupid enough to get fired from Japan which Thekla denied before quickly admitting she did which got a laugh out of the fans.

TBS Champion Willow Nightingale defends against Kamille

Made this past weekend after Kamille’s surprise return, this was her first Dynamite match since October 2024 and second AEW match this week after well over a year away for reasons that are unknown until a tell-all podcast drops in 2029.

This had an ad break early that killed the flow a bit at which point I realize I can watch without ads. Nightingale continued her run of defeating returning wrestlers with a backslide counter for the pin and successful title defense. Kamille looked fine here, but let’s see where things are in a few months and if they keep the new American Gladiator in the mix.

Kris Statlander and Hikaru Shida were then shown backstage as Shida was mocking Nightingale with Statlander looking slightly embarrassed and also ambivalent. Shida said they had so much fun last week tagging up, they are doing it again on Collision this week. It’s crazy these two are former AEW Women’s World Champions and it seems like Tony Khan has no idea what to do with them at this point. That seems to be a trend (Riho, Nyla Rose, Britt…what’s her name?).

Match Result: Willow Nightingale defeats Kamille to retain the TBS title

Darby Allin was prepping to walk to the ring and as Renee Paquette was asking him a question, Sting walked up, fully painted up. Allin asked him for some advice and then said, “It’s showtime.” Sting quickly replied that, “It’s not showtime. It’s YOUR TIME!” It does feel like Allin is going to win this thing tonight, huh…or maybe not?

AEW World Champion MJF defends against Darby Allin

This is going ad-free and also starting at just after 10 pm Eastern. Unless I missed something, I think we’re going until 10:30.

Well, I guess not. This was super quick. In a sequence, MJF used his Dynamite Diamond ring as Aubrey Edwards was distracted. Allin then hit his own blow as she was distracted again, hit a Scorpion Death Drop and then four coffin drops, and a side headlock takeover for the pin and win.

The locker room spilled out to celebrate including Sting and they did the whole celebration.

To me, this whole thing felt way too choreographed given the location and the Sting pre-match pep talk. I don’t understand wanting to change the title right now, but alas, it happened. I assume this leads to a rematch at Double or Nothing and MJF regaining the title there. Right?

Match Result: Darby Allin defeats MJF to win the AEW World title

AEW Collision Spring Break Thru 4/16/26

  • Thekla vs. Alex Windsor for the AEW Women’s Title
  • The Young Bucks vs. The Rascalz
  • We’ll Hear from Adam Copeland
  • Jon Moxley vs. Nick Wayne in a Continental Title Eliminator Match

AEW Collision is back inside the Esports Stadium in Arlington, Texas on Saturday.

Kris Statlander, Willow Nightingale, and Harley Cameron, who collectively hold every AEW women’s title available, will wrestle in a trios bout on the show. Their opponents have been announced as Hyan, Maya World & VertVixen.

Saturday’s show will be the second of four upcoming AEW Collisions scheduled for the Esports Stadium in Arlington. Next week’s Collision will take place in Phoenix, but AEW returns to the venue on January 24 and 31 to close out its residency.

************************************

The Death Riders (PAC, Daniels Garcia, Wheeler Yuta (w/ Jon Moxley & Marina Shafir) vs. Sky Flight (Scorpio Sky, Dante Martin, & Darius Martin) (w/ Christopher Daniels and Zayda Steel)

Jon Moxley joined the commentary desk, and he said he was offended that Sky Flight thought they could compete with the Death Riders. He did acknowledge that they are good enough to beat anyone at any time, but that the Death Riders are a different animal from everyone else. Darius Martin showed some fast offence, hitting an arm drag on Daniel Garcia. Sky tagged in and continued the attack on Garcia’s arm, but PAC tried to change the momentum by running into the ring and knocking both Martin brothers from the apron allowing Garcia to turn Sky around and tag out to PAC.

As the Death Riders got the heat during the break, Tony Schiavone noted that with the Don Callis Family expanding, was there going to be new members of the Death Riders? Moxley said that the Callis Family had 216 members, and that he thought the Opps Dojo was charging $49.99 a month for new members, while the Death Riders is a very high bar to clear, and they are more focused on quality instead of quantity.

Yuta hit a nice delayed vertical suplex on Dante Martin. Moxley noted that Yuta’s strength is increasing, and he is starting to throw people around the ring. The crowd really hated Yuta, and popped huge when Dante Martin hit a back suplex on Yuta, but Yuta and Garcia hit a double team move to drop Martin and tagged out to PAC, but Dante Martin hit a dropkick and tagged out to his brother.

Darius Martin tagged in and hit a standing Spanish Fly and a tope on Garcia on the floor. Moxley marvelled, asking where they came up with that stuff, as Darius Martin hit a capture fisherman suplex for a 2-count. Marina Shafir and Zayda Steel argued on the apron, but it did not stop Sky Flight from their offence, as Scorpio Sky and Dante Martin hit dives onto PAC and Garcia. Darius Martin sent Yuta crashing into Shafir and hit a cutter on Yuta for a 2-count. Shafir distracted Martin, getting a measure of revenge, allowing Yuta to low blow Martin and tag out so all 3 men started crushing Martin in the corner. PAC and Yuta crisscrossed in the middle of the ring as Garcia choked Martin out. Yuta did a flip dive to the floor, but Dante Martin did not get up to catch him, so Yuta just flipped and landed on his feet on the floor and started stomping on Dante Martin. PAC hit Darius Martin with lariat for the pinfall.

Result: Death Riders defeated Sky Flight

–After the match, Marina Shafir and Zayda Steel faced off, but Megan Bayne came down and attacked Steel, hitting a running Liger Bomb to lay her out.

–The Conglomeration were backstage, and Roderick Strong loudly announced he was not with them, but that he was not done with the Don Callis Family. Mark Briscoe cut a promo about all the success of the Conglomeration, ignoring Strong, and Orange Cassidy nodded along as Briscoe called out Hechicero. Cassidy and Briscoe tried to say the same thing at the same time (When two or more conglomerates are in the same place, you have a full conglomeration), and Orange just says, “Yep.” Hilarious and awesome promo.

Brody King vs. Barrett Brown

Brody King crushed poor Barret Brown in about 15 seconds.

Result: Brody King defeated Barrett Brown

–Bandido came out to celebrate with Brody King, and the announcers noted that as Bandido faces MJF on Wednesday, if he wins the AEW World Championship, he promised to give a shot to King.

–Josh Alexander was walking around backstage as Lance Archer was murdering random backstage crew members, noting that Don Callis was still in Japan celebrating with Kazuchika Okada for his victory over Hiroshi Tanahashi. Alexander also said that Hechicero would be taking the TNT title to the family later tonight. Notably, Alexander did not talk about Konosuke Takeshita losing the IWGP Heavyweight Championship to Yota Tsuji. Good promo from Josh Alexander here.

El Clon vs. Komander

This match started fast with quick lucha counters, arm drags, and pinfall attempts. The action did not stop, and was a bit hard to recap as they kept doing amazing things. Komander ran up the ropes, did a twisting dive, and landed in a hurricanrana. Komander tried a tope suicida, but Clon caught him used the momentum of the dive to dump him on the entrance ramp. Clon hit a vertical suplex on the ramp as they went to an ad break.

Clon choked Komander on the ropes as they came back from the ad break, and Clon hit a hard chop on Komander. The announcers told the story of the break, with Clon sending Komander crashing into the steps. Komander managed to hit a dropkick to the knee of Clon before hitting a DDT that dropped him. Komander hit some hard chops of his own followed by a superkick. Komander hit a poisonrana on Clon after an exchange I don’t really know how to describe.

Komander went to run across the ropes to hit a dive on Clon, but El Clon moved away. Instead of letting that deter him, Komander decided to hop down, run across the ring, and hit a spring board into a moonsault on El Clon. Komander went for his rope walk shooting star press, but El Clon dodged and cut him off. El Clon went for Hologram’s Portal Bomb, but Komander turned it into a Canadian Destroyer for a 2-count. El Clon hit Made in Japan and then his own Portal Bomb for the pinfall finish.,

Result: El Clon defeated Komander

This was a spectacular match. If Komander was pushed better on AEW TV, this would have been an even hotter match, but the crowd was very into it nonetheless. Fantastic match.

–A recap of NJPW Wrestle Kingdom aired, hightlighting Okada and Tanahashi, primarily, but also noting Tsuji and Takeshita. They also showed many members of the AEW roster coming out to celebrate Tanahashi’s retirement. They wanted to make the match between Okada and Tanahashi look epic, and it was, so they did an excellent job recapping it.

Mina Shirakawa vs. Lady Frost

Mina Shirakawa was given flowers by a staff member, apparently indicating she has as secret admirer. Lady Frost superkicked Shirakawa, but faced a a twisting splash from Shirakawa soon thereafter. Frost dodged a corner attack and hit a hand spring into a cannonball. Frost hit a kick and went for another handspring, but Shirakawa hit a big forearm and a spinning backfist before locking on the figure four leglock, leading to Frost tapping out.

Result: Mina Shirakawa defeated Lady Frost

–In the post match, Shirakawa looked at the flowers and said, “Who?” but then announced, “I love flowers!” as she left with them.

–Mercedes Mone was seen backstage sitting in front of a mirror with the cake from Dynamite in her hair. She was furious and said that she held the TBS title for over 500 days because she was the best, and it was not a fluke. She said that no matter what happens, she is the greatest, and she is sick and tired of being disrespected, so she is taking a break from AEW for a time, and that when she is coming back, she is coming for more than just titles. I suspect we are going to see Mercedes travel to a few indie promotions to drop the rest of her titles before coming back to take the AEW Women’s World Championship.

Mark Briscoe vs. Hechicero for the TNT Championship

This started with a ton of fun grappling, and at every turn, Briscoe managed to escape the grasp of Hechicero. Hechicero went for a back body drop, but Briscoe flipped out of it onto his feet, which frustrated Hechicero again, so he just punched Briscoe in the face and hit a backbreaker before returning to strikes in the corner. Hechicero charged the corner but ate a throat chop and Briscoe pulled him to the floor, brawling around ringside, which is to his advantage.

Briscoe set a chair up in the ring and went for a dive, but was cut short by Hechicero knocking the chair over. Hechicero celebrated this, forgetting that Briscoe can hit more than just flip dives, and he hit a dropkick to the floor. Hechicero countered a Bang Bang elbow into an armbar on the floor, and drove Briscoe’s arm into the ring post. Hechicero continued to attack the arm over the next few minutes, and Briscoe made the mistake of chopping with his injured arm, allowing Hechicero to wrap the arm around the ropes and continue the attack.

Hechicero flipped Briscoe around with his legs, which always looks amazing, and locked on a submission, and Briscoe barely made it to the ropes. Hechicero went for a rear naked choke again, but Briscoe flipped onto the ramp to break it. Briscoe setup the chair again in the ring and hit a tope con giro to the floor. Briscoe hit a flying forearm while still selling the arm, so he hit a running kick in the corner instead and a fisherman’s buster for a 2-count. Hechicero hit a headscissors driver that was insane, and then used a double underhook suplex to dump Briscoe on his shoulder, attacking the arm again.

Hechicero put Briscoe on the top rope, and Briscoe bit Hechicero and shoved him off the ropes before hitting the Froggy Bow, but Hechicero countered it into a pinfall attempt, which Briscoe kicked out of and immediately transitioned into the Jay Driller for the pinfall.

Result: Mark Briscoe defeated Hechicero

This match ruled. Briscoe and Hechicero have great chemistry, and I would love to see AEW do more with Hechicero. If Hechicero was built up better this could have easily been a PPV match.

–Roderick Strong and Orange Cassidy came down to the ring to celebrate with Briscoe.

–The Grizzled Young Veterans were backstage facing off with Eddie Kingston and Ortiz, and they ranted about how Kingston didn’t do things the right way, but somehow kept getting chances. Kingston said that he kept getting chances because he keeps winning, and the Grizzled Young Veterans were going to reap what they sowed next week on Collision.,

–A hype video aired for Kenny Omega, hyping his return to AEW Dynamite next Wednesday, driving home that Omega is going to be a major part of the main event scene in 2026.

–A hype video aired for FTR, and reminded us their feud with Adam Copeland and Christian Cage, and everything they have done since then, including winning the AEW World Tag Team Championship.

Vertvixen, Hyan, & Maya World vs. The Babes of Wrath (Harley Cameron & Willow Nightingale), & Kris Statlander

This was a more back and forth match than I expected, largely because I think AEW likes Vertvixen, Hyan, and Maya World a lot. I think it could have been interesting to give the lower card team a win here to setup a TV title match for one of the upcoming shows, but nonetheless, good showing here. I hope AEW starts to do something with these other women as they could contribute at a higher level. Putting them in there in a match that goes through the ad break with 3 of the top stars in the division is a good sign that they are confident they can be something.

Statlander hit a very impressive stalling vertical suplex on Maya World. When they came back from break Hyan and Vertvixen ended up knocking Nightingale and Statlander, allowing them to get heat on Cameron, and causing Nightingale to make the save at a pinfall attempt. Statlander came in and hit a double hurricanrana on World and Hyan, but Vertvixen laid out Statlander with a hard lariat. Cameron hit a kick on Vertvixen and tagged out to Nightingale, who ran wild, hitting a clothesline in the corner and a superkick. Nightingale and Cameron hit a backpack senton on Vertvixen, and Nightingale laid out Maya World and Hyan, before hitting a few double team moves with Statlander. Vertvixen soon ate the Staturday Night Fever from Statlander for the win.

Result: The Babes of Wrath defeated Maya World, Hyan, & Vertvixen

This match saw World, Hyan, and Vertvixen were given a lot. They looked quite good in this match.

–Harley Cameron announced with joy that her parents have gotten back together (referring to Nightingale and Statlander reuniting). Thekla said she was sick of the babyfaces celebrating, and that next week the Triangle of Madness was going to beat all three women.

–Don Callis was in Japan, celebrating that Okada put Tanahashi down. Kyle Fletcher walked up to Callis, and Fletcher told him that someone needed to talk to Okada, because Okada screwed both him and Takeshita at AEW World’s End. Callis said that Fletcher needed to worry about the TNT Championship more than he needed to worry about the C2 Tournament and what happened. Callis said that he was 3-3 with Briscoe, and that the energy he had should be directed to having a 7th match with Briscoe. Notably, again, Callis said nothing about Takeshita.

–A hype video aired for Bandido & MJF, with Bandido cutting a great promo about honour, and how MJF had none.

The Demand (Toa Liona, Bishop Kaun, & Ricochet) vs. Jet Speed (Mike Bailey & Kevin Knight), & Anthony Bowens

Before the match started, Jet Speed ran down to attack. This led to Bowens rushing down to make sure they were not beat down 3 on 2, and they signaled they wanted to scissor handshake with Bowens. They did so, but Kaun suplexed Bailey on the floor, and they started to beat down Bowens in the ring. Liona hit a senton on the apron as they went to ad break.

During the break the fans were chanting “We want Speedball!” and Ricochet loudly responded “No we don’t!” which made me laugh. Knight and Kaun charged each other, and hit a crossbody in the middle of the ring, causing both to tag out. Kaun tagged Ricochet while Knight tagged Bowens, and Bowens came in with the hot tag, attacking all 3 men. Bowens hit an inverted Olympic slam on Ricochet for a 2-count.

Unfortunately, all three members of the Demand laid out Bowens soon thereafter, hitting a series of hard hitting moves, ending with a powerbomb from Liona and a lionsault from Ricochet for a 2-count. Jet Speed made the save, and Bailey dodged a charge from Liona, which allowed Knight to hit a leaping DDT on Kaun. Bowens hit Ricochet with a spinning DDT in the ropes and went for a flying elbow, but he was distracted by Liona. Bailey hit a triangle moonsault on Kaun while Bowens hit a dive onto Liona before Knight hit a springboard clothesline on Ricochet, allowing Bowens to hit a running knee for a 2-count.

Liona ate two superkicks from Jet Speed, but he powered out of a DDT from Knight, and Liona put Jet Speed onto the shoulders of Kaun, who hit a big ending on both men. Bowens hit Ricochet with a Mollywhop, but Bishop Kaun blind tagged in, allowing them to prevent Ricochet from being pinned. The Gates of Agony hit Open the Gates for the pinfall finish.

Result: The Demand defeated Jet Speed & Anthony Bowens

–The Demand attacked Bowens and Jet Speed after the match, and while they were beating on Bowens, Max Caster came down to the ring slowly, indicating that he wanted them to beat on Bowens. However, as Jet Speed came back in to even the odds, Caster came in and started defending Bowens. As this was happening, the rest of the Don Callis Family came down and started beating on all the babyfaces until The Conglomeration ran down to make the save, and sent the Don Callis Family packing. Jet Speed, The Congomeration, & Komander all stood against the Don Callis Family and the Demand. Are we heading to a literal massive multi-man tag? Because that could be fun with around 10 guys on each side. Ridiculous, but fun.

Final Thoughts

This was not a big AEW Collision in terms of star power, but it was a fun show overall. If you are limited in time, I suggest watching Komander and El Clon, and Mark Briscoe vs. Hechicero. For the most significant angle on the show, I would suggest watching the Don Callis/Kyle Fletcher promo, as it advanced the storyline of Callis choosing Okada over everyone else quite well.

**********
AEW Dynamite comes on the air with Excalibur & Tony Schiavone welcoming us before throwing it to Justin Roberts in the ring who introduces Jim Ross to the Oklahoma crowd to the tune of Boomer Sooner. Ross got a huge ovation for his return to the commentary table.

After Excalibur runs down tonight’s card, we see earlier today, Renee Paquette was backstage and told us JetSpeed were attacked and not able to be cleared by doctors. The Demand & Don Callis come in feigning concern while Paquette brings up the bounty put on JetSpeed they put on them last week. Callis said someone…or Something, just got very rich. Mark Davis walks in with Jake Doyle (Something) and Callis said they’re going to kill some people. This leaves Jack Perry in need of two partners heading into tonight’s 6-man tag against The Demand.

Jon Moxley vs. Shelton Benjamin in a Continental Title Eliminator Match

(Hell of an opener and first-time singles meeting between these two, which is hard to believe. I’d say this was Benjamin’s best singles performance in AEW so far, as Moxley continues to shine in this new babyface run as Continental Champion. One of these days, he’s either going to get caught or time-limit will expire and we’ll get a rematch, it’s not a matter of when, but who it will be.)

After Moxley’s entrance, Paquette was on side stage and talked about Benjamin sizing up Moxley, one of the measuring sticks in AEW, last week. It wasn’t about intimidation, it was about business, as The Hurt Syndicate are about gold in 2026. Since this is Continental Rules, no managers are allowed ringside, thus MVP joined commentary.

Moxley slapped away a pre-match handshake, but Benjamin manhandled him at the opening bell, until Moxley ramped up a forearm battle. Moxley caught a boot and ducked the comeback swinging kick by Benjamin, as the crowd are loudly behind the Continental Champion. Benjamin responded with a release German and corner strikes, until Moxley got a boot up and clotheslined Benjamin outside. Moxley out to deliver more forearms, but Benjamin reversed a whip, sending Moxley into the barricade. Both men brawl into the crowd, as referee Paul Turner just followed, instead of putting a count on them. Moxley went back to ringside, but Benjamin met him by leaping off the railing with a clothesline. Moxley tried to create distance, but Benjamin continued his onslaught with a release German. Avoiding a second, Moxley sent Benjamin crashing into the steps and they teased a countout (after all the early brawling?) but Benjamin broke the count. Back inside, both swung for the fences and collided with a double clothesline heading to commercial.

Moxley controlled most of the break, but as he was scaling the top, Benjamin leapt up to him to deliver an Avalanche Superplex. Both up to another strike battle, which Moxley cut-off with an eye poke, only Benjamin met him with a corner splash. Missing a second, Moxley tried a Rear Naked Choke, but Benjamin spun out, tried his rewind kick, missed, only to catch Moxley charging with Paydirt. Suplex City from Benjamin, as Moxley kicked out after a series, ultimately catching Benjamin with a leaping Cutter for two at the 15-minute mark. Moxley tried 10 corner punches, but Benjamin powerbombed out into a high stack for two, transitioning to a submission, only Moxley made the ropes. Moxley low bridged Benjamin and followed with a Tope Suicida, as they returned quickly back inside, where Moxley went for a King Kong lariat, only to run into another Paydirt for a near fall.

Both climb up in the corner, where Moxley fights free, missed a leapt, giving Benjamin a chance to hit a thrust kick to the leg and face for a two count. Pump knee in the corner connects, as Benjamin went for another thrust kick, got caught, spun into a Paradigm Shift, but kicked out. Moxley quickly got a Bulldog Choke at the 60-second call, as Benjamin grabbed the ropes. Moxley dropped to a knee and caught a charging Benjamin knee, only kicked out. Benjamin applied a Triangle, as Moxley was about to fade, but he stacked Benjamin up and got the flash pin right as time was about to expire, 5-seconds left we’re told. Post-match, Moxley offered a handshake, Benjamin accepted and the crowd applauded.

Match Result: Jon Moxley defeated Shelton Benjamin

-We see Darby Allin skateboarding backstage, looking for PAC.

-Excalibur brings up Hiroshi Tanahashi’s career ending at Wrestle Kingdom earlier this week as we went to highlights of the classic with Kazuchika Okada winning one final time in their storied rivalry. If for some reason you haven’t seen that match yet, it’s well worth going out of your way to watching, as well as the post-match retirement ceremony.

-Video package from last week’s interaction between MJF & Kenny Omega was shown. Footage of MJF defeating Omega a few years ago in their only singles match was shown. We’re told Omega will be back next week at Maximum Carnage.

The Demand (National Champion Ricochet, Toa Liona & Bishop Kaun) vs. Jungle Jack Perry & The Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson)

(A very entertaining party match, with The Bucks returning to their look and entrance of old, with the fans fully behind them. This was action packed from the bell and I wouldn’t be shocked if Perry gets a rematch for the National Title out of this, hopefully one with less interference than the first. The post-match brought us the anticipated return of Andrade and he looks to be fully back in with The Don Callis Family, who already added Jake Doyle to their ranks earlier in the day. I have absolutely no idea where FTR fit into this, as Excalibur tried telling us they had history with Andrade, but (unless I’m completely forgetting) don’t recall much of one.)

Superkick Party theme for The Bucks, who got pyro and money reigning down at the entrance. They both fist bumped Perry, as all three hit the ring and immediately sent The Demand to the outside. Perry put a cowboy hat on Ricochet before chopping him, as Ricochet tipped his cap to the camera before collapsing. The Bucks wiped out G.O.A. with double dives, as Perry followed suit with a massive moonsault from the top onto the pile. Back inside, locomotion corner strikes on Ricocchet, who ate a double hip toss and triple dropkick. Backbreaker/Slingshot Legdrop connects, as a cazadora face-buster from Matt led to a diving DDT by Perry for two, as Kaun & Liona returned for literal seconds before being sent right back out and ate another double dive by The Bucks. Ricochet was worked over until Perry was tripped up by Kaun, allowing Ricochet to dump him outside. Kaun sent Perry repeatedly into the ring and barricade before launching him over the timekeepers table heading to commercial.

Perry was worked over the entire break, but once things returned, Perry hit the bounce back lariat into the reset. Nick made the hot tag and cleaned house, superkick on Kaun and Lucha Libre arm-drag on Ricochet. Liona put a stop to the momentum until The Bucks ducked a charge and G.O.A. collided before eating superkicks and top rope elbow drops. Float over in the corner led to a PK from Nick and somersault Blockbuster by Matt on Liona, as Matt connected on a slingshot Destroyer on Ricochet. Moonsault by Perry onto G.O.A. while The Bucks hit their double stomp powerbomb on Ricochet. Liona made a powerful return, as he & Kaun stacked The Bucks & Perry on the shoulders of Kaun for a trifecta Samoan Drop. Superplex/Headbutt combo from G.O.A. as Ricochet flew in with a springboard 450 Splash, but Perry kicked out. Perry flipped out of Vertigo, landed on his feet, floated over in the corner with a release German, but was met with a running Kaun brainbuster. The Bucks ate headbutts by Liona, who stood there no selling Perry’s strikes, leading to a Cazadora Cutter by G.O.A. until Ricochet hit Vertigo, but The Bucks broke the count.

Ricochet loaded up The Spirit Gun, Perry ducked, ate a pump knee, as Ricochet tried the powerbomb DVD, but Perry countered into a Poison Rana. The Bucks returned for a Superkick Party on all The Demand, as Perry joined in on the fun. Ricochet was placed on Matt’s shoulders, as Nick took out G.O.A. outside with a huge dive, with Perry hitting a Doomsday Device. BTE Trigger connects, as an assisted Sacrifice Knee launched Perry into Ricochet to get the pin.

Post-match, Mark Davis & Jake Doyle hit the ring and attacked Perry & The Bucks with Callis leaping in excitement on the apron, while Lance Archer & El Clon are ringside as well. JetSpeed (heavily taped up) hit the ring with hockey sticks and attacked, but the lights went out and when they came back on, a masked man in a suit took out JetSpeed, as Bailey was wiped out with a spinning DDT. Before he took his mask off, Excalibur told us this was Andrade, who indeed, revealed himself to be just that. The Demand looked on impressed, as The Don Callis Family stood tall, until FTR wheeled out Stokely to the ramp, as they stare down everyone. Excalibur told us they have a history with Andrade, which, I only remember them teaming once in AEW, so I’m not sure what that history entails.

Match Result: Jungle Jack Perry & The Young Bucks defeated The Demand when Perry pinned Ricochet

Willow Nightinagle’s TBS Title Celebration

Renee Paquette introduces the ray of sunshine, new TBS Champion Willow Nightingale to the ring, alongside Harley Cameron & Kris Statlander. Some of the lights went out in the arena, so there’s a spotlight on Nightingale, who said this is the first stop in the Willow 2-Belts tour. Now the hard work really begins, you get ready for the next challenger, but it’s important to smell the roses when things truly matter. She’s here with her busty bad ass babe Harley Cameron and a reunion, not just with her TBS Championship, but with the AEW Women’s World Champion, Kris Statlander, so we’re going to have a good time. Nightingale said she has no trouble fighting twice in one night and defending both titles and realizes it’s only a matter of time before someone rains on her parade, so let’s just get it over with and invites Mercedes Mone to the ring.

Mone comes out, wearing a white mourning veil, as Nightingale said she always looks great and put over Mone’s unstoppable 2025, but Mone took her hat off, screamed and trashed the table. She shoved Cameron, who pushed Mone back and she stumbled face first into the cake held by Statlander. Nightingale grabbed a screaming Mone and hit a Doctor Bomb onto the cake as everyone (Paquette included) did a Conga Line around the downed Mone.

-Video of Mark Briscoe at his home putting over Nightingale’s win last week. Briscoe said he’s had one title defense, but has been spending a lot of time taking in some Continental Classic entertainment. Since that’s over, relaxing time is over and he’s feeling good and dangerous. Mentally, though, he’s not feeling good, it’s been too long, he’s got an itch that needs scratching, too long since he’s beat someone’s ass. Briscoe was tickled when he learned Hechicero is next in line for his TNT Title. Placing his title down, Briscoe mocked Hechicero’s magic ball saying Collision he sees clearly, his title is going nowhere. The Conglomeration are all strapped up these days, as the Phrase of the Day is Reign and Defend.

-Triangle of Madness are backstage with Thekla applauding Kris Statlander for having friends, questioning when she’ll turn on Nightingale & Cameron. They put out a challenge for the TBS & Women’s Tag Champions. After Skye Blue & Julia Hart do their Shining back and forth, Thekla challenges them to get Toxic. The match is official for Maximum Carnage next week.

ROH World Champion Bandido vs. ROH Tag Team Champion Sammy Guevara

(Despite this being a very even match, Bandido had the crowd loudly behind him and was able to showcase a lot of his offense heading into next week. I did get a kick out of Jim Ross saying Guevara talks too much, while Excalibur was right there with the “he never shuts up” which I’m looking forward to seeing in a future Botchamania video from Maffew. The post-match was a fun go-home segment before Maximum Carnage, as Bandido sent MJF packing and stood tall. Do I think Bandido wins next week, no, but the last few weeks have made him a credible challenger in his fights against LFI.)

JR said the first time he saw Bandido, he thought he saw another Eddie Guerrero, as Bandido offered a handshake at the bell, but Guevara flipped him off. Guevara floated over a cazadora and hit a pump kick, but opting to pose, Bandido dropkicked out the leg and teased a 21-Plex, but Guevara bailed. Telling JR he’s just warming up, Guevara returned, tried a springboard, but had his legs dropkicked out under him. Bandido fired off a thrust kick on the apron, but Guevara was able to drink something under the ring and mist Bandido, leading to a Tornado DDT off the steps, taking control into commercial.

Back from break, Guevara fired off a thrust kick and chops, but again, played to the crowd, allowing Bandido to fire off chops of his own. Both trade corner clotheslines until Bandido stops the series with a leaping leg lariat, uppercut and Tornillo. Guevara runs into a one arm press slam, as Guevara stumbled outside, where Bandido cleared the top rope with a somersault dive. Guevara avoided a springboard back inside and hit an awkward monkey flip, sending Bandido crashing into the ropes before going outside. Guevara went up top and connected with a Shooting Star Press to the floor. You Still Suck chants from the crowd, as Guevara tried GTH back inside, Bandido countered into a cradle for two, as he looked for a 21-Plex, but Guevara had it scouted perfectly with a springboard Cutter in mid-air for two.

GTH avoided again, this time with a massive pop-up Cutter, as Bandido tried 21-Plex, but Guevera landed on his feet, flipped Bandido off and hit a huge knee strike that turned Bandido inside out. Back suplex into a DDT connects, but Bandido just got a shoulder up. Bandido caught a kick, backflipped Guevara and mid-air hit a pump knee, leading to a 21-Plex and the victory for Bandido.

Post-match, MJF’s music hits and he power walks to the ring with Jon Cruz by his side. After spitting his gum into the crowd, MJF gets in the ring and calls Bandido a talented little luchador. If anyone knows about Lucha Libre, it’s MJF, someone who has sold out Arena Mexico and dog walked Mistico multiple times, making MJF a Lucha Libre Legend. MJF is a bigger star in Mexico than Bandido will ever be, no offense. Thinking Bandido has something special, MJF respects his culture and country, so he brought out his translator, Jonathan Cruz. After translating the promo, MJF thanks Cruz for coming to a dump like Oklahoma.

MJF brings up his 6 Dynamite Diamond Rings (Bandido shows off his) and said that ring doesn’t belong to Bandido, it’s MJF’s, so hand it over and lets skip the match next week, as we all know Bandido doesn’t have a prayer. If you do the right thing, scouts honor, MJF will take Tony Khan to the side and put Bandido over, saying he’ll wrestle him on PPV in 5 or 10 years from now. Cruz was going to translate, but Bandido cut him off saying he can speak English, you stupid son of a b*tch. MJF begged off briefly before punting Bandido low, taking the Dynamite Diamond Ring and having Cruz hold Bandido, who ducked and MJF clobbered Cruz. Bandido returned the favor, punting MJF low and getting his ring back before dropping both Cruz & MJF with 21-Plexes. Bandido held the AEW Men’s World Title up and the crowd chanted for him.

Match Result: Bandido defeated Sammy Guevara

-Brody King video package saying violence puts food on his family’s table. King doesn’t have to scream to get his point across. Whether it’s on the stage with his band or dropping people on their heads in AEW, Brody King is coming for the throne.

Timeless Toni Storm (w/Luther) vs. Marina Shafir (w/Daniel Garcia & Wheeler Yuta)

(Lot of this happened during commercial, the pace was much slower than you’d expect considering the feud these two have had in recent months. It felt like it was really getting going when it just…ended. How many times has a referee been pulled outside by a heel and they were simply ejected? Not tonight, apparently. The post-match continued the feud, as it looks like Mina Shirakawa might be warming up to Orange Cassidy. Perhaps The Timeless Citrus Bombs could become a thing?)

Some early throws by Shafir, who trapped the legs briefly until Storm escaped with a series of hair mares. Out to the floor, Storm slammed Shafir into the steps and barricade, but became distracted by Yuta & Garcia, allowing Shafir to lock Storm’s head with her legs and back inside control the action into commercial.

Shafir controlled the entire break, but when things returned, she whiffed on her Tiger Feint head scissors in the ropes and just kicked Storm in the head for two. Mocking Storm’s tango she’s done recently with Orange Cassidy, Shafir spun and slammed Storm, as JR questions Shafir’s pace, saying she’s standing and looking a lot. Shafir dipped Storm and clobbered her with a forearm, but Storm fired back with a dropkick. Teasing a hip attack, Storm turned her back briefly, giving Shafir a chance to hit a boot. Storm responded with a huge headbutt and Big Package, but Yuta pulled the referee outside. Referee Paul Turner disqualified Shafir as a result, but Shafir decked Storm with a shot after the match.

Mina Shirakawa rushed to the ring and was immediately waffled and placed onto Storm. Luther crawled in to make the save, as he was about to suffer the same fate until Roderick Strong sprinted to the ring as Orange Cassidy walked at his speed. Death Riders were going to bail until Claudio Castagnoli power walked from the crowd to ringside, but was held back by Garcia & Yuta. Cassidy helped Storm up and had his arm around her, as she thanked him, while he did the same with Shirakawa, arms around both Love Bombs. Quite the ladies man, that Orange Cassidy.

Match Result: Timeless Toni Storm defeated Marina Shafir via disqualification

-Renee Paquette is backstage with PAC, asking when we are getting the rematch with Darby Allin? PAC said he’s wrestled and beaten Allin twice, there’s nothing left to be said. Allin storms in and said he’s beaten all the Death Riders in the last year, except PAC, so give him this match. PAC said Allin isn’t the one who calls the shots and to run along. PAC goes to leave, when Allin sprays him with a fire extinguisher and places his leg between the door, saying he’ll break his ankle if he doesn’t give him the rematch. PAC reluctantly agrees, right as Death Riders rush in to make the save and Allin runs away.

Hangman Adam Page & Swerve Strickland (w/Prince Nana) vs. The Opps (Powerhouse Hobbs & HOOK) in a Lights Out Match

(This went 20 minutes past the top of the hour and I’m sure everyone was thankful the lighting issues didn’t last throughout this entire match. A lot of weapons and a lot of revenge dished out by Page & Strickland, as the finish might’ve seemed like it went on too long, Excalibur did a good job pointing out what HOOK took from Page. I know Page & Strickland said they want another shot at the AEW Title, but them as a tag team challenging FTR eventually would be a very fun program.)

Page entered through the crowd and drank a fans beer, while Strickland entered the opposite side with Prince Nana. Despite this being a Lights Out Match, right as the bell sounded, issues with the lights (similar to Willow Nightingale’s segment earlier tonight) happened again and we have spotlights on the ring. Having this literally be lights out is the irony I’m sure AEW doesn’t want, as it’s very tough to see the action. Strickland avoided a Hobbs chair shot against the steps, hit a pump kick on the apron, allowing Page to place a chair around Hobbs’ neck and post him. Orihara Moonsault from Page (in the dark, mind you) on Hobbs, while HOOK was dropped with a Strickland DVD on the apron. The lights came back on thankfully, as the brawl continues ringside, with Hobbs trucking Page, but immediately met with a dive by Strickland. HOOK recovered and started a strike exchange on the apron, as he blocked a boot and delivered a brutal leg trapped suplex off the apron to the floor.

Back from break, a table was placed in the corner of the ring, as Page was fighting off Hobbs & HOOK, who delivered an overhead suplex through the table for two. HOOK wedges a chair in the corner, as Hobbs wanted an Oklahoma Stampede, but Page slid out and Hobbs crashed into the chair. Strickland handed a staplegun to Page, who got revenge on HOOK by stapling his arm and chest multiple times before a pop-up powerbomb followed. Hobbs was about to suffer the same fate, but blocked a shot and clocked Page with a right hand. Hobbs lifted Strickland up for a suplex, but Strickland stapled him repeatedly in the chest. Page came in swinging a piece of dry wall, but just caught enough of Hobbs, but I think it went sailing into the crowd. Strickland then, no joke, stapled Hobbs in the crotch to a very fitting You Sick F*ck chant from the OK crowd.

Strickland & Page bring cinderblocks into the ring, as HOOK was sent outside, allowing Hobbs to hit a few chair shots on Page until Strickland delivered a release German, which Hobbs no sold, popping up and mowing down Strickland placing him on the cinderblocks. Hobbs grabbed the chair, but Nana made the save, taking it away. Hobbs splashed him in the corner, as Strickland was about to be spiked with a spinebuster on the cinderblocks, but hooked a guillotine instead. Chair shots to the ribs and back by Strickland, who leapt out of the corner, caught and hit with a World Strongest Slam onto the cinderblocks, but Page broke up the pin attempts. Page fired off shots, tried Dead Eye, but was sent to the apron. HOOK cut off a Buckshot, as The Opps Dojo hit ringside and attacked Page with a pipe.

Crowd chanted bullsh*t as Hobbs chained Strickland & Page up by the throat in the middle of the ring, as Nana got up on the apron and threw hot coffee into Hobbs’ face. Strickland & Page rose up and got free, destroying the Dojo dorks with ease, until Nana was laid out by HOOK ringside with a suplex. Posing on the apron, HOOK was sent crashing to the floor by a charging Hobbs, who missed his mark, as Page tried a Buckshot, but flew into a spinebuster. Strickland came in with a House Call to break the count, went up top and instead of going for Hobbs, he took out the Dojo crew ringside. Page brought Hobbs to the cinderblocks and we get a Swerve Stomp/Dead Eye combo on the blocks. HOOK shoved Page into Strickland and got a school boy for two, as REDRUM was escaped with HOOK trying for a pipe shot, which was blocked by Page, allowing Strickland to fire off a headbutt. With his fist wrapped in the chain, a rolling right hand connected, as Page wrapped HOOK up by the throat with the chain, as Strickland hit a House Call. Buckshot by Page connected, as he threw HOOK over the top with the chain around the neck and HOOK submitted.

Match Result: Hangman Adam Page & Swerve Strickland defeated Powerhouse Hobbs & HOOK when Page submitted HOOK

**********

Sir Elton John played us in for this edition of Collision from Springfield, Massachusetts. I heard a rumor that the Simpsons were in the cheap seats. Tony Schiavone & Nigel McGuinness were on the call, and after running down tonight’s card, Schiavone announced that PAC’s injury suffered on this past week’s Dynamite will not allow him to defend his Trios Title in the near future. This Wednesday on the Spring Break Thru episode of Dynamite, AEW World Champion Jon Moxley will take PAC’s place alongside the Death Riders as they defend the World Trios Championships against The Opps.

(Hopefully PAC’s injury won’t put him out for too long. Meanwhile, can Mox fit two titles in that briefcase?)

FTR Town Hall

FTR walked to the ring to boos as Tony Schiavone continued to chide their actions. Cash Wheeler said that what happened between them and Adam Copeland wasn’t premeditated, and that his relationship with Copeland predated his partnership with Dax Harwood. Wheeler said that all of Copeland’s actions showed that he didn’t care about FTR, Copeland only cared about himself. Copeland didn’t respect Wheeler as a man, and he had to pay for disrespecting FTR.

Harwood took the mic and said that he saw a sign in the crowd that said Why FTR, Why? Instead of asking why, the fans should be thanking FTR for giving Copeland the relevance he was begging for. He didn’t sell out because he didn’t make any money off of it, and he didn’t have to justify his actions to anybody because they were right. Harwood gave an explanation anyway, as FTR’s only direction for four months was to be Copeland’s new Edge-heads while he chased his dream of being a World Champion one more time.

Harwood said that, like every wrestler in Copeland’s position, he was too damn selfish. He understood that there were a lot of people that weren’t happy with them and turned their attention to Tony Schiavone at the desk. They brought Schiavone into the ring and asked him to repeat his comments from Dynamite, which Schiavone did. Harwood asked Schiavone to repeat his comments regarding his daughter, and Schiavone once again asked how Harwood’s daughter would feel about his actions.

Harwood grabbed Schiavone, and FTR set up a spike piledriver. This forced Nigel McGuinness to rise from his seat to cheers and get in the ring to save Schiavone. Harwood told McGuinness that he signed his death warrant. Daniel Garcia came to the ring to settle things down, but Harwood shoved him down without looking. In a shot mirroring their deception of Copeland, FTR offered hands to Daniel Garcia before helping him up and giving him a hug. FTR left, and Garcia checked on Schiavone at the commentary desk before McGuinness warned Schiavone never to put him in that position again.

(My god, what an opening segment. This felt straight out of the territories, as the bully wrestlers crossed a line and forced McGuinness to make the save. The Daniel Garcia angle is a great short-term point of intrigue as they have an established team as well. I cannot put this segment over enough, just fantastic work from everyone involved.)

AEW Women’s World Champion Toni Storm was backstage and talked about all of the remaining women in the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament before saying that she would be at Double or Nothing to watch the finals.

Owen Hart Foundation 2025 Women’s Tournament Quarter Final Match – Jamie Hayter defeated Billie Starkz

(A stellar showing from both women here as they kicked the in-ring portion of this show off with a bang. Starkz needs some polish, but she’s got an impressive moveset and went blow-for-blow with Hayter here in this hard-hitting matchup. Hayter vs. Statlander in the next round, batten down the hatches.)

The winner of this match will wrestle Kris Statlander in the semifinal.

After watching out for a lariat, Starkz pulled Hayter in on a handshake and drilled her with a spin kick. Hayter knocked Starkz out on a dive attempt and pinballed her around ringside before dumping her in the timekeeper position. Starkz booted Hayter before hitting a Swanton Bomb off the barricade to Hayter’s back. After some back-and-forth in the ring, Hayter scored a nearfall with a main event spinebuster.

After a commercial break, Hayter had Starkz in a single-leg crab. Starkz rolled Hayter into the buckles and caught Hayter with a rebound kick. Starkz hit a high-angle German suplex for a nearfall. Starkz ducked a Hayterade attempt and hit a half-and-half suplex before locking Hayter in A HOLD. Hayter hit the Ushigoroshi and a sliding lariat for a nearfall.

Starkz ducked the rebound Hayterade that beat her in their last match and hit a brainbuster over the knee for a nearfall. Starkz hit a Swanton Bomb for a nearfall, then brought Hayter to the apron. Hayter hit a headbutt before suplexing Starkz from the apron to the floor to a big reaction. Both women beat the countout and traded strikes before Hayter caught Starkz with a backbreaker and a Hayterade for the win.

Match Result: Jamie Hayter def. Billie Starkz

During this match, it was announced that next week’s Spring Break Thru Collision will be live on Thursday. I’ll have to check my schedule for that.

The Death Riders Weren’t Mourning

The Death Riders were backstage. Claudio Castagnoli said that they expected casualties in this war but never mourned them as duty only ends in death. They wouldn’t hide, and they would accept the challenge of The Opps as they did not concede territory. Castagnoli handed PAC’s Trios Title to Marina Shafir as Jon Moxley entered the frame.

Moxley called this a learning experience for a generation of punk play wrestlers who don’t show up to work. There’s glory on the front lines, and you have to put yourself on the front lines to get it. Samoa Joe and Katsuyori Shibata knew that, but what were they teaching Hook? It’s the biggest match of Hook’s life, but he didn’t have to worry, as chicks dug scars.

The Gates of Agony (Toa Liona & Bishop Kaun) defeated two locals

The Gates have been on a winning streak in ROH, and they handled their business quickly here, dumping one guy on the other for the double pin.

Match Result: The Gates of Agony def. two local competitors

Backstage, Lexy Nair tried to talk to FTR as they were leaving before Matt Menard & Angelo Parker cut her off. 2.0 weren’t going to allow FTR to trick Daniel Garcia the same way they tricked Adam Copeland. They challenged FTR to a match tonight, which FTR accepted. Wheeler told 2.0 to give them a taste.

Anthony Bowens (w/Billy Gunn) defeated Blake Christian (w/ Lee Johnson)

(An effective re-introduction of Bowens to the TV audience. He’s a confident talker, and he’s got a nice complement of moves. He should do well as a singles.)

This was a Bowens showcase that went through a commercial break. A Lee Johnson distraction at ringside allowed Christian to get the advantage during the commercial, but Bowens came right back with a jumping Fameasser and a spinout facebuster he calls the Grand Slam for a nearfall. Christian clawed at Bowens’ eyes before hitting a dive through the turnbuckle.

Bowens caught Christian with a twisting DDT in the ropes, but Johnson put Christian’s foot on the ropes to boos. Christian caught Bowens with a Spanish Fly and a handspring kick before scoring a nearfall with a 450 Stomp. Christian caught Bowens with a Stunner off of the ropes but spent time jawing at Billy Gunn before getting caught with a superkick. Billy Gunn took out Johnson before Bowens hit the Mollywop rolling forearm for the win.

Bowens took the mic after the match and said that it was time for him to level up. He called himself AEW’s five-tool player, with the five tools being power, athleticism, intelligence, the look, and the It Factor. He called himself the Pride of Professional Wrestling, and he didn’t need a trademark to prove himself. He asked who would be the next one to step up to the plate.

Match Result: Anthony Bowens def. Blake Christian

Handicap Match – Megan Bayne (w/Penelope Ford) defeated LMK & Kelly Madan

Bayne trucked these poor girls, hitting the Fate’s Descent on Madan on top of LMK and pinning them together. She must’ve watched that Gates of Agony match and gotten an idea. She picked both of them up by the hair and told them to bow down before slamming them down on the mat.

Match Result: Megan Bayne def. LMK & Kelly Madan

Kevin Knight defeated AR Fox

(Another showcase win for Knight on AEW TV. He’ll be off to compete in New Japan’s Best of the Super Juniors in a few weeks, as will Nick Wayne. You can feel Knight getting more confident on-screen with every appearance, and his dual AEW/New Japan contract will continue to get him the reps a budding talent like him needs.)

These two went to a ten-minute time limit draw on Ring of Honor TV in recent weeks and started off quickly here to avoid another draw. After a quick opening exchange left Knight on the apron, Fox rolled over the ropes to stomp Knight in the guts before hitting a post-assisted moonsault to Knight on the floor.

After the commercial, Knight caught Fox with a big dropkick before scoring a nearfall with the Sky High. Fox caught Knight on the ropes with a Lo Mein Pain before hitting a quick 450 Splash for a nearfall. Knight hit another big dropkick and a rolling DDT before hitting the big springboard lariat for the win.

Match Result: Kevin Knight def. AR Fox

The Gates of Agony were backstage, noting that they didn’t mind getting hurt. They called out The Hurt Syndicate and said that they broke people.

FTR defeated Matt Menard & Cool Hang Ang

(What a grand slam home run FTR have hit tonight. In about an hour, a tired act has become an act with energy and vigor. Tying together the threads with Daniel Garcia, Harwood’s issue with the referees, and the Undisputed Kingdom over the past few weeks is excellent television booking, and I applaud whoever put it all together over these past few months. If I had to have one negative about the scenario, it’s Daniel Garcia getting geeked out after a lackluster TNT Title run.)

Daniel Garcia came out to ringside as FTR got the jumpstart. Menard got bloody in the ring as Harwood pinballed him around the ring. Menard fired up with punches before Harwood dropped him with a lariat. Cool Hand Ang took a Shatter Machine, and Menard took the spike piledriver. They hit a second spike piledriver and set up for a third before Garcia talked them down. Harwood pinned Menard for the win.

FTR feigned leaving before stomping out Garcia as he was helping Menard up. They hit Garcia with a pair of spike piledrivers before security and referee Mike Posey came out to stop them. Harwood dropped another referee with a punch before setting up Garcia for a third spike piledriver. The Undisputed Kingdom came out to run off FTR and finally make sure they stayed away.

Match Result: FTR def. Matt Menard & Cool Hand Ang

Owen Hart Foundation 2025 Women’s Tournament Quarter Final Match – Athena defeated Harley Cameron

(Athena gets the win here to give us the big Mercedes Mone match on Dynamite. Athena never felt in trouble in this match, but I would have made her look even more dominant here ahead of the Mone match. Harley Cameron is perfectly fine where she is and wouldn’t have lost a thing putting over Athena strong. I would’ve had Athena knock Cameron out with one of her big knockout forearms to set that up as a big nearfall. As far as the Mone match is concerned, I think it’s smart to have the match on Dynamite. I don’t think Athena is as over as the most hardcore of AEW fans think she is, so doing the match on Dynamite and having a great showing against Mone in Boston would be huge for her.)

The winner of this match will face Mercedes Mone in the semifinals on the Spring Break Thru Dynamite in Boston.

Cameron tied Athena up in the ropes, but Athena pulled Cameron into the turnbuckle. Athena dropped Cameron with a backbreaker on the apron, then hit a wheelbarrow German suplex on the floor to take control into the commercial break.

After the break, Cameron rolled out of a bow-and-arrow for a nearfall. Athena hit a series of kicks for a nearfall. Cameron avoided a kick while in the Tree of Woe and fired up on Athena. She hit a crossbody, but Athena rolled through with her before Cameron rolled her way through with a headscissors. Cameron caught Athena with a punch before hitting a side suplex for a nearfall. Cameron went for Her Finishing Move, but Athena cartwheeled out of it. Athena caught Cameron with a pair of powerbombs and a spin-out knee strike before hitting the O-Face for the win.

Match Result: Athena def. Harley Cameron

Mercedes Mone was in a pre-tape, as she apologized for skipping the “pathetic” Springfield. She had a dream when she came into AEW to hold all the gold, and the Mone Train was only two stops away from making it happen. Athena was only a speed bump, and the best woman would win on Dynamite.

Owen Hart Foundation 2025 Men’s Tournament Quarter Final Match – Konosuke Takeshita defeated Brody King (w/Julia Hart)

(What a freaking war, and what a freaking Collision this was. These two battered each other, with Takeshita eventually chopping down King and putting him away. Brody King can perform at a main event level, and I hope he gets more chances to as time goes on. Meanwhile, AEW is loading up Spring Break Thru, with Athena/Mone and an Ospreay/Takeshita rematch from the 2024 Revolution show. An excellent main event to a show I implore you to check out for yourself.)

The winner of this match will face Will Ospreay in the semifinals on the Spring Break Thru Dynamite this Wednesday.

We got footage of Takeshita beating Hiroshi Tanahashi at the New Japan Windy City Riot event last night in Tanahashi’s final match in the United States, and King beating Lance Archer on Dynamite a couple weeks ago.

Takeshita avoided chops as long as he could, but King brought him down with one early to barks from the crowd. The two men traded strikes before they ended up on the apron, where King dropped Takeshita with a Death Valley Driver. King lined up for the crossbody to the barricade, but Takeshita drilled him with a jumping knee and hit a big dive as we went to a commercial break.

Both men were down as we came back from the break, as we saw footage of a big superplex from King. King scored with a cannonball in the corner for a nearfall. Takeshita tried fighting back with chops, but a big forearm dropped him to a knee. Takeshita came back with a forearm of his own, but King drilled Takeshita with more chops. Takeshita landed a big forearm and collapsed onto King for a nearfall.

Takeshita herked King up for a big Blue Thunder Bomb for a nearfall, but King wouldn’t fall after repeated lariats and dropped Takeshita with a lariat of his own. King hit Dante’s Inferno for another nearfall. Takeshita got King up for the Bastard Driver, then pulled him up and over for a wheelbarrow German suplex. Takeshita hit a monster lariat for a nearfall. Takeshita hit a pair of Powerdrive knees for a nearfall, then lowered the knee pad to hit another pair of Powerdrive knees for the win.

Match Result: Konosuke Takeshita def. Brody King

During this match, it was announced that Hangman Page vs. The Wildcard was set for Wednesday’s Dynamite as well. That show is loaded to the brim.
