New matches official for AEW Dynamite, next Collision

Both this Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite and next Saturday’s AEW Collision have some updated lineups which will see a new Don Callis Family member revealed and former AEW Women’s World Champion Toni Storm in action.

Dynamite additions

On this Wednesday’s Dynamite from Atlanta, Georgia, former AEW International Champion Will Ospreay will take on the new mystery member of the Don Callis Family. Callis hinted last week that their ranks had grown and the new member will reveal themselves in just a few days.

The aforementioned Storm will take on Queen Aminata who is coming off a loss in a TBS title four-way eliminator bout on last week’s Collision. They two squared off a year ago with Storm picking up the win. Current AEW Women’s World Champion Mariah May will be on commentary ahead of her defense against Storm at this month’s AEW Grand Slam Australia.

After scoring their first win as the Hounds of Hell, Brody King & Buddy Matthews will take on Kyle Fletcher and International Champion Konosuke Takeshita. The Don Callis Family members will face Kenny Omega and Ospreay at this month’s Grand Slam Australia.

The new additions join the previously announced Swerve Strickland vs. Ricochet match.

Here’s the updated lineup:

  • Will Ospreay vs. Don Callis Family mystery member
  • Ricochet vs. Swerve Strickland
  • Kyle Fletcher & Konosuke Takeshita vs. Buddy Matthews & Brody King
  • Queen Aminata vs. Toni Storm

Collision lineup

The first three bouts are official for next Saturday’s Collision from Houston, Texas.

In a rematch from last year’s Continental Classic, Kyle Fletcher will take on former ROH World Champion Mark Briscoe. Fletcher said he wants to right the wrong from the tournament where Briscoe picked up the upset victory.

After challenging her to a match last Saturday, Penelope Ford will get her wish and will face former AEW Women’s World Champion Thunder Rosa.

In a three-way trios match, The Undisputed Kingdom’s Adam Cole, Kyle O’Reilly & Roderick Strong will take on Shane Taylor & The Infantry and Daniel Garcia, Matt Menard & Angelo Parker. This was announced following the aftermatch of Garcia’s successful TNT title defense against Lee Moriarty and O’Reilly.

Big Boom A.J. appearance part of new additions to AEW Dynamite

Big Boom A.J. will make an appearance on this Wednesday’s Full Gear go-home edition of AEW Dynamite.

The viral social media star known for hanging out with Big Justice and The Rizzler and enjoying double chunk chocolate cookies is preparing for his return to the ring next Saturday against QT Marshall on the pay-per-view pre-show.

Wednesday will also see a bout between former AEW Women’s Champion Hikaru Shida and TBS title challenger Kris Statlander. During Saturday’s Collision, Shida said she wanted a shot at the TBS title if Statlander can defeat incumbent champion Mercedes Mone at Full Gear, leading to Statlander requesting the match for this Wednesday instead.

After lengthy absences, CMLL’s Hechicero, Atlantis Jr., and Mascara Dorada will be in action against opponents to be named. The CMLL contingent’s return was announced Saturday as well.

Here’s the updated lineup for Reading, PA:

  • Darby Allin vs. Claudio Castagnoli
  • Will Ospreay, Ricochet, Powerhouse Hobbs & Mark Davis vs. Konosuke Takeshita, Kyle Fletcher, Lance Archer & Brian Cage

Bryan Danielson vs. Lance Archer, Adam Copeland promo set for AEW Dynamite

For the first time ever in their long careers, Bryan Danielson will face Lance Archer in a singles match as part of tonight’s AEW Dynamite.

The two were on opposite ends of a trios match on this past Saturday’s Collision that saw Danielson, Claudio Castagnoli and Katsuyori Shibata defeat Archer and The Righteous.

Danielson is looking to extend his two-match win streak heading into this month’s Dynasty match against Will Ospreay. Archer is coming off a singles loss to Castagnoli last month.

In another new addition, TNT Champion Adam Copeland will be on hand to share some thoughts following his successful title defense over Matt Cardona last Saturday.

Here’s the current card for tonight’s event from the DCU Center in Worcester, Massachusetts, that will also feature a post-Dynamite taping for Collision this Saturday:
