AEW Collision spoilers from Albany, New York

The following are spoilers for this Saturday’s AEW Collision taped Thursday in Albany, New York at the MVP Arena.

  • Mina Shirakawa defeated Harley Cameron with the Glamorous Driver. This had lots of shimmies and rubbing chests in faces. Mina was over in Albany.
  • Daniel Garcia defeated Johnny TV (w/ MxM Collection) via tapout with the Cobra Clutch. This was a good match. During the bout, TNT Champion Jack Perry came out of the crowd and attacked Daddy Magic at commentary, dragging him to the back.
  • Shelton Benjamin (w/ MVP) defeated Komander (w/ Alex Abrahantes) with a powerslam. Albany popped for Shelton Benjamin’s entrance. Crowd chanted “MVP!” during the match. Shelton is an excellent base for Komander who got more offense than you would expect but it actually helped the match. After the match, MVP told Benjamin to remove Komander’s mask. Alex came in but couldn’t budge Benjamin. MVP laid out Abrahantes, but they didn’t get the mask.
  • Powerhouse Hobbs defeated Bear Bronson (w/ Beefcake Boulder and Jacked Jameson) with the Argentine Backbreaker (torture rack).

  • Mariah May defeated Anna Jay in a no DQ match to retain the AEW Women’s World Championship after hitting Storm Zero onto a folding chair. This was a very good hardcore match. Both women brought weapons to the ring and used chairs, a ladder, a trash can, a table and barbed wire. Anna even superplexed May onto a metal guard rail.  After the match, Shirakawa came out and celebrated with May. Mina and Mariah will have a Champagne Celebration at Full Gear.
  • AEW World Champion Jon Moxley cut a recorded promo on Orange Cassidy, bragging about breaking Chuck Taylor’s neck. He called OC a cold blooded snake. The test, Mox says, will be Wednesday when Cassidy faces Wheeler Yuta on Dynamite. Mox feels the weight of every wrestler and every fan who’s disappointed in what AEW has become. At Full Gear, Mox says he’s going to plant his flag so deep, it will never get moved. They grab pro wrestling by the balls. If you can’t handle that — get out.
