AEW Collision, Battle of the Belts XII & Ring of Honor spoilers from Stockton, California

The following are spoilers for this Saturday’s AEW Collision & Battle of the Bets XII in addition to Ring of Honor.

AEW Collision:

  • Rush & The Beast Mortos defeated The Outrunners. FTR saved The Outrunners after the bout.
  • House of Black (Malakai Black, Buddy Matthews & Brody King) defeated three enhancement talents
  • Ricochet defeated AR Fox. Ricochet cut a promo on International Champion Konosuke Takeshita after the match.
  • Kris Statlander defeated Harley Cameron. Statlander challenged Kamille to a match and offered Mercedes Mone a front row seat.
  • Orange Cassidy defeated Bulk Bronson
  • Daniel Garcia, Isiah Kassidy & Marq Quen defeated The Premier Athletes
  • Jamie Hayter defeated Brooke Havoc. Penelope Ford cut a promo on Hayter and announced she was going after Hayter/
  • Kyle Fletcher defeated Atlantis Jr.
  • AEW World Trios Champions Claudio Castagnoli, PAC & Wheeler Yuta defeated Darius Martin, Dante Martin & Action Andretti to retain the titles. Jon Moxley & Marina Shafir entered for a post-match beatdown leading to Dark Order trying to make the save but they were beaten down.

AEW Battle of the Belts XII:

  • AEW Continental Champion Kazuchika Okada defeated Kyle O’Reilly to retain. This went nearly the 20-minute time limit
  • Brian Cage & Lance Archer defeated Jon Cruz & Jack Cartwheel
  • Anna Jay defeated Mariah May in an AEW Women’s World title eliminator for a future title opportunity.

Ring of Honor spoilers:

Tony Khan came out and did a tribute to Joe Koff, saying mainly the same things he had told the crowd in San Jose the night before.

  • Toa Liona & Bishop Kaun defeated OSJ & Dave Dutra
  • Reyna Isis defeated Lady Frost
  • Rocky Romero defeated Brandon Cutler
  • ROH men’s TV Champion Brian Cage defeated Komander
  • They held a championship celebration for ROH Women’s World Champion Athena for being the longest-running champion in company history. Billie Starkz got upset after Athena complained about the party and left. The segment ended when Abadon put a cake in the champion’s face.

Women’s World title eliminator booked for AEW Battle of the Belts XII

Women’s World Champion Mariah May will face a potential future title challenger at AEW Battle of the Belts XII.

As announced Wednesday night, May will take on Anna Jay in a Women’s World title eliminator bout at AEW Battle of the Belts XII airing Saturday night, October 19 on TNT following Collision. The match was set up with a backstage altercation between the two during Wednesday’s Dynamite that saw Jay strike authority figure Christopher Daniels by mistake as he attempted to separate the pair.

Jay is 2-0 in AEW since returning from an excursion to Japan where she competed in Stardom’s 5 Star Grand Prix.

May has defended her title three times since defeating Toni Storm for the bet at All In in August, scoring victories over Nyla Rose, Yuka Sakazaki, and Willow Nightingale.

Saturday’s Battle of the Belts XII special is being taped Thursday night, October 17 alongside Saturday’s Collision episode.

AEW reveals Battle of the Belts XII date

AEW has revealed the date for the taping of Battle of the Belts XII.

AEW announced during Wednesday’s Dynamite show that Battle of the Belts will be taped alongside an episode of Collision on Thursday, October 17 in Stockton, California at the Adventist Health Arena.

Darby Allin, FTR, Jack Perry, Thunder Rosa, Jon Moxley, Chris Jericho, Willow Nightingale, and Chris Jericho are featured in the promotional poster for the Collision/Battle of the Belts taping.

The October 17 taping date would seem to indicate that Battle of the Belts XII will air following Collision on Saturday, October 19.

The most recent Battle of the Belts XI special aired live on TNT on Saturday, July 27.

The show featured Dustin Rhodes, Ross Von Erich & Marshall Von Erich winning the vacant ROH Six-Man Tag Team titles in the main event over The Undisputed Kingdom, a Toni Storm win over Taya Valkyrie in an AEW Women’s title eliminator, plus Willow Nightingale defeating Deonna Purrazzo in a CMLL Women’s title eliminator.
