Triple H is front and center on a newly unveiled special edition of WWE 2K26.
We still don’t have a release date for the game or know who the main cover star will be, but it was announced today that there will be a special “King of Kings” edition featuring Triple H on that cover. Like with the recently announced “Attitude Era” and “Monday Night War” variants, this is a special edition of the game priced at a higher point with some additional add-ons. Details regarding the pricing and features have not been announced yet.
This Friday (January 30) is when pre-orders for the game will go live. Paul “Triple H” Levesque and Paul Heyman starred in 2K’s advertisement announcing this new edition.
Triple H is also included on the “Attitude Era” and “Monday Night War” covers alongside other stars from that period.
While not much about the gameplay is known yet, Insider Gaming reported earlier this month that CM Punk will be the focus of the annual Showcase mode, which is a story mode that spotlights a specific wrestler and allows you to play through their journey. The mode will allow you to relive some of Punk’s past matches as well as play through some dream matches that never got the chance to happen.
The full roster for WWE’s next video game has now been revealed.
Ahead of WWE 2K23 being released next month, WWE and 2K Games have announced the full roster of wrestlers who will be playable characters at launch. The roster includes main roster stars, wrestlers from NXT, and WWE legends.

Johnny Gargano originally wasn’t included on the roster list that was put out by 2K Games, but they’ve since clarified that he’ll be playable at launch.
The official release date for WWE 2K23 is Friday, March 17. Those who buy the deluxe or icon versions of the game will be able to play it starting on Tuesday, March 14.
Last month, John Cena was announced as the cover star for WWE 2K23. The icon edition of the game also includes a Ruthless Aggression Pack with the following versions of Cena, Brock Lesnar, Randy Orton, and Batista.

Bad Bunny will also be playable in WWE 2K23 as the game’s special pre-order bonus character.
WarGames will make its debut as a match type in WWE 2K23. Other features include Universe mode, MyFaction, MyRise, MyGM, and a Cena showcase mode.
It was announced tonight that WWE 2K22 will be released next March.

In a tweet, WWE 2K22’s Twitter account has promised new controls, graphics, and a redesigned game engine.
A March 2022 release date is outside the normal release window of WWE games, which are usually in the fall. In a press release, 2K Games said they would announce more details on the game’s roster, modes, and other features in January of 2022. No game platforms have been announced.
WWE 2K22 will be the first game released under the 2K banner since WWE 2K20 in the fall of 2019. That game was critically panned, averaging 45% on Metacritic due to a number of bugs and glitches that had an effect on gameplay.
