Zack Clayton no longer with AEW

Zack Clayton is no longer with AEW.

Clayton, who has been engaged to reality star JWoww since 2019, first announced he’d signed with the company one-year ago on October 11, 2022.  PWInsider is reporting that AEW has chosen not to renew his contract. His departure was first confirmed by WrestleZone.

Clayton’s profile was removed from AEW’s website recently. He hadn’t wrestled for the company since an ROH taping from Hartford on July 29.

Clayton had wrestled primarily on episodes of AEW Dark and Dark: Elevation up until the two shows stopped taping episodes earlier this year. He started wrestling on Ring of Honor after, briefly forming a tag team with Cole Karter.

Prior to signing with AEW, Clayton appeared on episodes of MTV’s Jersey Shore: Family Vacation along with his fiancé.

Clayton made his in-ring debut in 2014. He wrestled for promotions such as Immortal Championship Wrestling, In Your Face Wrestling, Slam All-Star Wrestling, The Dynasty, Truly Independent Wrestling, and WrestlePro before signing with AEW.

On Tuesday’s AEW Dark, Clayton appeared in a vignette confirming that he had signed a contract with AEW. He said people will respect him now, and now he will do whatever he wants. He ended the promo by asking if everyone’s so tough, why doesn’t someone step up and challenge the Reality.

Clayton has made a handful of appearances in AEW since 2020, but has appeared frequently on AEW Dark and Dark: Elevation since August. He has picked up a few wins in recent months, defeating Conan Lycan and Serpentico. His most prolific appearance was on the August 17 edition of AEW Rampage, where he was unsuccessful in challenging Hook for the FTW Championship.

Clayton is engaged to Jersey Shore reality star JWoww, having appeared on episodes of MTV’s Jersey Shore: Family Vacation. He has also made appearances for WrestlePro, Immortal Championship Wrestling, and Truly Independent Wrestling.
