  • Sami Zayn & Kevin Owens vs. Gunther and Ludwig Kaiser

Becky Lynch & Zoey Stark qualify for WWE Money in the Bank

Becky Lynch and Zoey Stark have qualified for the Women’s Money in the Bank ladder match.

On Raw Monday, Lynch defeated Sonya Deville to qualify. During the match, Trish Stratus and Zoey Stark came out and watched the match from the entranceway. Despite Chelsea Green’s involvement, Lynch scored the win after hitting the manhandle slam on Deville. Later in the show, Stark defeated Natalya with the Z360 after Stratus attacked Natalya while she was on the apron by attacking Natalya’s leg.

At Night of Champions last month, Stark helped Stratus defeat Becky Lynch. In the weeks since, Stark has aligned herself with Stratus and the two have continued to be a thorn on the side of Lynch.

Stark and Stratus join Zelina Vega in the women’s Money in the Bank ladder match. Ricochet and Shinsuke Nakamura qualified last week on Raw for the men’s Money in the Bank match, while LA Knight qualified on last week’s SmackDown.. Qualifiers that will take place on SmackDown this coming Friday include Butch vs. Baron Corbin, Santos Escobar vs. Mustafa Ali, Michin vs. Bayley, and Shotzi vs. IYO SKY.

The winners of the qualifying bouts will advance to the Money in the Bank pay-per-view set for July 1 to participate in the Money in the Bank ladder matches.

The two confronted one another on the Grayson Waller Effect talk show prior to their match, with Evans striking Vega with the woman’s right before the match started as the ring was being cleared.

LA Knight defeated Montez Ford to qualify. The finish had Knight reverse a pin, using the ropes for leverage.

Qualifying matches began Monday on Raw, with Ricochet and Shinsuke Nakamura becoming the first to qualify for the men’s match. Qualifiers that will take place on next week’s SmackDown include Butch vs. Baron Corbin, Santos Escobar vs. Mustafa Ali, Michin vs. Bayley, and Shotzi vs. IYO SKY.

Also set for next week, Zoey Stark will face Natalya in a Money in the Bank qualifier. In addition, it was notable on Raw in a backstage promo segment with Gunther and Matt Riddle that Gunther suggested that Riddle could cash in for a shot at his Intercontinental Championship. While the Money in the Bank ladder match winner has traditionally challenged for a World title, the precedent was established last year that the contract could be cashed in on a secondary title, as Austin Theory unsuccessfully cashed in his Money in the Bank contract for a shot at the United States title.
