Latest report on Tiffany Stratton’s WWE WrestleMania 42 plans

Tiffany Stratton is going to WrestleMania 42, according to latest reports.

Stratton came up short in both the Royal Rumble and Elimination Chamber matches, where the winners earn guaranteed WrestleMania title opportunities. However, a report from Bodyslam+ indicates she is currently planned to face Giulia for the Women’s United States Championship at the event.

According to Ibou of the Self Made Sessions Podcast, the match was originally planned as a triple threat involving Giulia, Stratton, and Jordynne Grace. However, Grace suffered an ankle injury last week.

The SmackDown star built a rapport with the WWE fanbase during her three year NXT run in 2021. Tiffany Stratton further solidified her reputation in her feud with Becky Lynch in 2023 for the NXT Women’s Championship. She was officially moved to the main roster in 2024 and a year later won the WWE Women’s Title.

In October last year, Stratton suffered a knee injury that sidelined her for a couple of months. She made her return to the Royal Rumble and was one of the finalists before being eliminated by Liv Morgan.

WrestleCon and The Collective partnering for WrestleMania week 2026

WrestleMania week’s two primary independent promoters are partnering for the biggest events on the indie scene in 2026.

WrestleCon and The Collective have announced that they will house their WrestleMania week events under the same roof for the first time in 2026 at the Horseshoe Las Vegas on The Strip from Wednesday, April 15 through Sunday, April 19.

A schedule of events has yet to be announced. Hotel rooms at a special rate went on sale Thursday at the Horseshoe:

The Collective traditionally hosts numerous independent events — from GCW shows, to Joey Janela’s Spring Break, to TJPW shows — as part of the WrestleMania week festivities. WrestleCon hosts a convention with appearances from wrestling stars each day of WrestleMania week, plus the annual Mark Hitchcock Memorial Supershow, traditionally the highest-profile independent wrestling event of the year.

Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas will host WWE WrestleMania for the second consecutive year on Saturday, April 18 and Sunday, April 19, 2026.

Formerly Bally’s Casino, the Horseshoe is across Las Vegas Boulevard from The Mirage, Caesar’s Palace, and The Bellagio.

WWE close to finalizing deal for WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas

WWE bringing WrestleMania back to Las Vegas in 2026 is close to being finalized.

WrestleMania 42 was originally set to be held in New Orleans next April, but that will no longer be happening. News broke last month that WWE was moving the event away from New Orleans with Las Vegas believed to be the new front runner. Instead of having WrestleMania next year, New Orleans is getting Money in the Bank 2026 and will still host a different WrestleMania at some point in the future.

The move to Vegas for WrestleMania 42 has not been officially announced yet, but our Bryan Alvarez reports that progress has been made and a deal could be announced soon:

Vegas very close to being a done deal for WrestleMania next year. There were a few hurdles to be cleared and several were this morning. Vegas is making a lot of concessions to clear the way for them.

This means Allegiant Stadium in Vegas is set to host WrestleMania for the second straight year. It’ll be the third time Mania has ever been held in Vegas, following WrestleMania IX and WrestleMania 41.

It’s not known what hurdles were cleared, but one issue WWE was facing was a concert planned for Allegiant Stadium complicating the logistics of setting up for WrestleMania. Another potential issue was less convention space being available for WWE World at the Las Vegas Convention Center due to another event having part of the venue booked.

Alvarez discussed this news story on today’s episode of Wrestling Observer Live.
