X-Division title match official for TNA Under Siege, more matches added

Mustafa Ali’s X-Division Championship challenger has been decided, plus more matches have been added to TNA Under Siege set for Friday, May 3. 

Ace Austin defeated Trey Miguel in a number one contender’s match on Thursday’s TNA Impact to earn a shot at Ali’s title on Friday’s TNA Plus event. 

In a new match added to Friday’s main card, Jonathan Gresham will return to an Impact ring for the first time this year in a singles contest against KUSHIDA. 

Laredo Kid vs. Rich Swann, plus Joe Hendry vs. Zachary Wentz of The Rascalz have also been added to Friday’s Under Siege lineup. 

Two new bouts are also set for the Countdown to Under Siege pre-show. 

In a Knockouts division contest, Ash By Elegance will take on Havok. FBI’s Guido, Zack Clayton, and Ray Jaz will also be in six-man tag team action on the pre-show. 

Under Siege airs on TNA Plus on Friday at 8 p.m. Eastern time, with the Countdown show set for 7:30 p.m. Eastern time on TNA’s digital platforms.

Five matches announced for TNA Under Siege

TNA has announced five matches for its Friday, May 3 Under Siege event. 

Following an angle on Thursday’s Impact episode where The System attacked Nic Nemeth and took him out, Matt Hardy will step into Nemeth’s spot and team with Speedball Mountain against Moose, Eddie Edwards, and Brian Myers at Under Siege. 

Hardy made a surprise return to TNA at last Saturday’s Rebellion pay-per-view. 

The Knockouts World Tag Team titles will also be on the line on May 3, with Spitfire’s Jody Threat and Dani Luna defending their titles against Alisha Edwards and Masha Slamovich. 

X-Division Champion Mustafa Ali will defend his title at Under Siege against the winner of an Ace Austin vs. Trey Miguel bout set for the May 2 Impact. 

Hammerstone will be in action at Under Siege in a one-on-one contest against Jake Something stemming from an angle on Thursday’s Impact. 

Also set for Under Siege, Knockouts World Champion Jordynne Grace will team with PCO against Steph De Lander & Kon.

Under Siege will stream on TNA Plus on Friday, May 3 at 8 p.m. Eastern time.

TNA Wrestling announces Under Siege event for May

TNA Wrestling is bringing a live TNA Plus special and an Impact taping to Albany, New York in May. 

TNA announced Thursday night that this year’s Under Siege special event will air live on the TNA Plus app from Albany on Friday, May 3. A TV taping for Impact will be held the next night in the same building at the Albany Armory.

Josh Alexander, Brian Myers, KUSHIDA, Alex Shelley, Chris Sabin, Moose, Jordynne Grace, ABC, MK Ultra, Crazzy Steve, AJ Francis, Ash By Elegance, Eric Young, Eddie Edwards, Frankie Kazarian, Jake Something, Jody Threat, Joe Hendry, “Speedball” Mike Bailey, PCO, Steve Maclin, and Xia Brookside are the talent advertised for the shows in the press release announcing the events. 

Tickets for the shows will go on sale on Saturday, March 16.

TNA Wrestling presents back-to-back nights of high-energy live pro wrestling on Friday and Saturday, May 2-3. Both shows will originate from the Washington Avenue Armory – and all TNA championships will be on the line in Albany, as TNA makes its long-awaited return to Albany for the first time since October 2022.

The action kicks off Friday with UNDER SIEGE, which will air live on the TNA+ app, including title matches for the TNA World Championship, the Knockouts World Championship and much, much more. Then, on Saturday, the TNA television trucks will be in Albany to capture all the in-ring action for upcoming episodes of the company’s flagship weekly TV show that airs at 8 p.m. EST every Thursday night (AXS TV in the U.S., Fight Network in Canada).
