Triple threat US title match added to WWE Survivor Series WarGames

A match for the United States Championship has been added to Survivor Series this Saturday.

The title will be defended in a triple threat match between champion Seth Rollins, Austin Theory, and Bobby Lashley. The match was announced on Monday’s Raw.

Two weeks ago on Raw, Theory cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase, attempting to capture the United States Championship after Lashley had destroyed Rollins. However, Rollins was able to hang on, and an attack from Lashley eventually cost Theory the title.

On Monday, Theory said losing the championship match was the best thing that has happened to him as he was no longer the kid that lost two weeks ago, promising to take the title at Survivor Series. After defeating Mustafa Ali, Theory called out Lashley. The two ended up getting into a brawl, with Theory shoving Ali into Lashley backstage in the gorilla position. Ali became mad and shoved Lashley, leading Lashley to lay out Ali on the entranceway stage.

Here is the updated lineup for Survivor Series:

  • Women’s WarGames match: Bianca Belair, Asuka, Alexa Bliss, Mia Yim & TBA vs. Bayley, IYO SKY, Dakota Kai, Nikki Cross & Rhea Ripley

Men’s WarGames match set for WWE Survivor Series

The men’s WarGames match set for Survivor Series next Saturday has now been set.

Kevin Owens will team with Drew McIntyre, Sheamus, and The Brawling Brutes against The Bloodline (Roman Reigns, The Usos, Solo Sikoa, and Sami Zayn). Owens made his first TV appearance since prior to Crown Jewel on Friday’s SmackDown, laying out Roman Reigns and standing tall with the rest of his teammates to close out the show.

A show-long storyline had Sheamus and Drew McItnyre teasing to The Bloodline that they had a fifth partner that would take Zayn by surprise. At the end of tonight’s show, the two teams ended up brawling after Butch defeated Zayn in a SmackDown World Cup match. Roman Reigns came to the ring and cleared house, which led to Kevin Owens coming out. Zayn, stunned, didn’t know how to react. He served as a distraction long enough for Reigns to hit the Superman punch on Owens, but Owens got the better of Reigns after giving him a stunner.

Asuka vs. Ripley WarGames advantage match set for WWE Raw

The competitiors to determine the advantage in the upcoming Women’s Survivor Series WarGames match has been set.

Rhea Ripley will take on Asuka in a singles match this Monday on Raw. The winner of that match will have the advantage in the match, which will take place next Saturday.

The match was announced on Monday’s Raw. However, it wasn’t announced who would be in the match. When asked by an interviewer backstage, Belair wouldn’t reveal who would be in the match, nor did she say who would be the fifth person on her team.

The current teams are Mia Yim, Asuka, Alexa Bliss, Bianca Belair, and a fifth person against Damage CTRL (Bayley, Dakota Kai, and IYO SKY), Ripley, and Nikki Cross. Yim agreed to join the match for Belair’s team on Monday after Damage CTRL had attempted to recruit her for their team. Later, Ripley agreed to join Damage CTRL’s team, as Ripley and Yim have been feuding since Yim’s return to WWE two weeks ago.

The match between Ripley and Asuka is the only match announced so far for Monday’s Raw, the final Raw before Survivor Series. It will take place at the MVP Arena in Albany, New York.

WWE announces rules for Survivor Series WarGames matches

WWE has officially unveiled the rules for Survivor Series WarGames.

WarGames will make its main roster debut as Survivor Series takes place at TD Garden in Boston on Saturday, November 26. The pay-per-view will feature a men’s WarGames match and a women’s WarGames match.

The rules for the WarGames matches will follow the same format that WWE used in NXT. The match can only be won by pinfall or submission after all competitors have entered:

Two teams will be contained in separate cages with one member of each team starting the match.

After five minutes, a member from the advantaged team will be released to enter the match.

After a three-minute period, alternating members from each team will enter the match until all competitors are inside the cage.

Once all competitors have entered, WarGames officially begins.

The only way to win the match is by pinfall or submission.

The men’s WarGames match is expected to be The Bloodline (Roman Reigns, The Usos, Solo Sikoa & Sami Zayn) vs. Sheamus, Ridge Holland, Butch, Drew McIntyre, and a partner.

The women’s WarGames match will be Bianca Belair, Alexa Bliss, Asuka, Mia Yim, and a partner vs. Bayley, Dakota Kai, IYO SKY, Nikki Cross & Rhea Ripley.

There will be a match on next Monday’s Raw to determine which team gets the advantage in the women’s WarGames match.

WarGames being introduced to the WWE main roster comes after Paul “Triple H” Levesque took over creative this July. The iconic NWA/WCW match type had previously been used by Levesque in NXT.

Match to determine women’s WarGames advantage set for WWE Raw

A match that will determine the advantage in the upcoming women’s WarGames match at Survivor Series on November 26 has been set for next week’s Raw.

In a backstage interview segment during Monday’s show, Bianca Belair wouldn’t reveal who she had planned as the fifth person on her team. She also wouldn’t reveal who she would pick to represent her team on next week’s Raw in the match that will determine the advantage.

A show-long storyline had new members joining the Survivor Series WarGames match pitting Belair, Alexa Bliss, and Asuka against Bayley, Dakota Kai, IYO SKY, and Nikki Cross. After inviting Mia Yim earlier in the show to join their team, Yim later revealed to Damage CTRL that she ended up joining the side of Belair’s team.

Later in the show, Rhea Ripley found Damage CTRL and Nikki Cross and told them that if Yim was on Belair’s side, she wanted to join them.

Next week’s Raw will take place at the MVP Arena in Albany, New York.

Finn Balor vs. AJ Styles added to WWE Survivor Series WarGames

A match between Finn Balor and Seth Rollins has been made for Survivor Series WarGames.

In a backstage segment during Monday’s Raw, Styles said that he has had enough of Judgment Day, challenging Balor to a singles match. The two have been feuding for the last few months over Styles’ refusal to join The Judgment Day, leading to the returns of Luke Gallows, Karl Anderson, and Mia Yim to counter other members of Judgment Day.

Later in the show, the rest of the OC and Judgment Day got involved in the main event, which had Balor challenge Seth Rollins for the United States Championship. Styles shoved Balor off the top rope as he was going for his coup de grace finish, leading to Rollins picking up the win following a stomp.

Yim was officially added to the lineup for the five-on-five WarGames match set for next Saturday’s event during Monday’s Raw episode. After declining an invitation to join Damage CTRL’s team for the match, Yim declared that she had joined Belair’s squad in a promo following an IYO SKY vs. Dana Brooke match on Raw.

Belair’s team still has one open spot. The Damage CTRL team was finalized later on Raw in a backstage segment where Rhea Ripley declared for the match.

SmackDown Women’s title match added to WWE Survivor Series WarGames

A SmackDown Women’s Championship match has been announced for Survivor Series WarGames.

Shotzi won a number one contender’s match on SmackDown Friday, defeating Liv Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez, Shotzi, Sonya Deville, and Xia Li in a six-way match to become the number one contender, pinning Xia Li. She will now face Ronda Rousey for the SmackDown Women’s title.

After the match, Emma congratulated Shotzi in a backstage segment. After Emma left, Shotzi was confronted by Shayna Baszler. Ronda Rousey appeared from behind. When Shotzi turned around to confront Rousey, she was immediately choked out by Baszler.

Rousey in recent weeks has turned heel, aligning herself with Baszler. She successfully defended the title against Emma two weeks ago on SmackDown in her most recent title defense.

Here is the card so far for Survivor Series, which takes place on November 26:

First WarGames match set for WWE Survivor Series

Bianca Belair is headed to war with Damage CTRL at Survivor Series.

An angle on Monday night’s Raw set up that it will be Team Belair vs. Damage CTRL in a WarGames match at Survivor Series on Saturday, November 26. The pay-per-view is taking place at TD Garden in Boston.

Belair will be teaming with Alexa Bliss, Asuka, and two partners who have yet to be revealed. Damage CTRL (Bayley, Dakota Kai & IYO SKY) will be teaming with Nikki Cross and one more partner.

Belair retained her Raw Women’s Championship against Bayley in a Last Woman Standing match at Crown Jewel last Saturday. But Alexa Bliss & Asuka lost the WWE Women’s Tag Team titles to Kai & SKY in Saudi Arabia. Cross interfered to cost Bliss & Asuka the titles.

Damage CTRL interrupted Belair, Bliss, and Asuka on Raw tonight, claiming that Belair still hasn’t truly beaten Bayley. The segment led to Belair challenging Damage CTRL to settle their rivalry in WarGames.

Cross then attacked Belair, Bliss, and Asuka from behind. After Damage CTRL and Cross laid Belair, Bliss, and Asuka out, Bayley accepted the WarGames challenge.

Survivor Series will feature two WarGames matches. It’s the first time that WarGames has ever been used on the WWE main roster.

The participants for the men’s WarGames match have yet to be announced.

Two WarGames matches to take place at WWE Survivor Series

WarGames is coming to the WWE main roster.

It was revealed via The Ringer today that WWE’s first-ever main roster WarGames matches will take place at “Survivor Series WarGames” this November. The pay-per-view is being held at the TD Garden in Boston on Saturday, November 26.

There will be a men’s WarGames match and a women’s WarGames match at the PPV. While speaking with The Ringer, Paul “Triple H” Levesque said WWE is changing its approach for Survivor Series. Instead of the traditional Raw vs. SmackDown format, the WarGames matches will be storyline driven.

“We’ll have a men’s WarGames match and a women’s WarGames match. The tradition of the Survivor Series has ebbed and flowed and changed slightly over time, but this will be similar to that,” Levesque said. “This will not be Raw versus SmackDown. It will be much more story-line driven. I still look at it as a traditional component to Survivor Series in there because it’s large teams of people competing. We just upped the ante a little bit with WarGames and made it evolve.”

WarGames being brought to the main roster comes after Levesque was named WWE’s new head of creative this July following the retirement of Vince McMahon. Levesque has been given the title of Chief Content Officer in WWE.

Originally created by Dusty Rhodes, WarGames was an iconic match type for the NWA and WCW. The first WWE WarGames match took place in 2017 when Levesque introduced the concept to NXT. An NXT WarGames event was held every year from 2017 to 2021.

“I love the original ones, the very first ones, with the Horsemen and Dusty and the Road Warriors and everybody else. Those were always my favorites. It was a different time in the business, a simpler time in the business,” Levesque told The Ringer.

“One of the things that Vince used to always say is if you put yourself in the seats, you could never go wrong. Now, all fans have different points of view. All you gotta do is go online now and you’ll see every single person has a different point of view and they’re happy to express it. But I think if you go out there and you think, What would you wanna see? If you’re a fan and you just love what we do, what would you want to see?”

Levesque also told The Ringer that WWE has figured out how to arrange the floor for WarGames so they can have two rings without losing any seats.

Survivor Series WarGames is the second of two WWE PPVs being held in November. Saudi Arabia will host Crown Jewel on Saturday, November 5.
