USA reveals premiere date for ‘Straight Up Steve Austin’ return

The USA Network has revealed the premiere date and guest list for “Straight Up Steve Austin” season two.

“Straight Up Steve Austin” will return as season two premieres on the USA Network immediately after Raw at 11 p.m. Eastern time on Monday, January 11. Here’s the description for the series:

In the series, WWE Hall of Famer ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin and a celebrity guest get real, heading out to different cities across America to take part in one-of-a-kind adventures, while swapping stories about their lives and careers. It’s a unique twist on the standard interview show, with no studio, no couch and no cue cards — just a straight up good time and good old-fashioned American fun.

Becky Lynch appeared as a guest on “Straight Up Steve Austin” season one. Season two will also include a WWE guest, with Charlotte Flair joining Austin for one of the episodes.

Bert Kreischer, Brett Favre, Ice-T, Luke Combs, Joel McHale, Steve-O, and Tiffany Haddish are the other celebrities who will be appearing as guests on “Straight Up Steve Austin” season two.

The first season of “Straight Up Steve Austin” debuted in August 2019. It was announced this January that the show had been renewed for season two, which would feature eight half-hour episodes. The new season was originally expected to premiere this summer.

New episodes of Straight Up Steve Austin are coming to the USA Network this summer.

USA Network announced today that Straight Up Steve Austin has been renewed for season two. It was noted that the new season will feature eight half-hour episodes and is expected to premiere in the summer.

The first season of Straight Up Steve Austin debuted in August 2019. Aside from its two-night season finale that concluded on a Tuesday, the show aired after Raw on Mondays.

USA Network describes the show as: “In every episode, Steve and a celebrity guest get real, heading out to different cities across America to take part in one-of-a-kind adventures, while swapping stories about their lives and careers. It’s a unique twist on the standard interview show, with no studio, no couch and no cue cards — just a straight up good time and good old-fashioned American fun.” They also hyped that Straight Up Steve Austin “was 2019’s #1 new unscripted cable series for Men 18-49 and Men 25-54.”

Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch appeared as one of the guests on the first season of the show. Rob Riggle, Sal Vulcano, Baker Mayfield, Gabriel Iglesias, Trace Adkins, and Dale Earnhardt Jr. were the other guests on season one.

Guests for season two have yet to be announced.

Austin also hosts his Broken Skull Sessions interview series on the WWE Network. A new episode will debut after NXT UK TakeOver: Blackpool II on Sunday, with Kane appearing as Austin’s guest.

A new interview-based series starring Steve Austin is coming to the USA Network this summer.

It was announced today that USA Network has picked up “Straight Up Steve Austin” for seven half-hour episodes. The series premieres on August 12 and will air after Raw on Mondays at 11 p.m. Eastern time.

USA Network described the show in a press release: “In each episode, Austin and a celebrity guest swap stories about their lives and careers during one-of-a-kind custom-tailored adventures in different cities across America. In this unique interview format, there’s no studio, no couch and no cue cards — just a straight-up good time and some good old-fashioned American fun.”

Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch will be a guest on one of the episodes. Country music singer Trace Adkins, former NASCAR star Dale Earnhardt Jr., comedian Gabriel Iglesias, Cleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield, actor Rob Riggle, and Sal Vulcano of “Impractical Jokers” are also listed as guests for the show.
