O’Reilly appearance, Sarray’s debut set for next week’s WWE NXT

Next week’s NXT will feature Kyle O’Reilly’s first appearance since TakeOver: Stand & Deliver.

WWE has announced that O’Reilly will be appearing on NXT next Tuesday night. In the main event of TakeOver: Stand & Deliver night two last week, O’Reilly defeated Adam Cole in an unsanctioned match.

Neither O’Reilly nor Cole appeared live on NXT tonight, but WWE showed footage of what happened in the aftermath of their unsanctioned match. The footage showed Cole being stretchered out and being transported to the hospital by ambulance. The angle also showed O’Reilly collapsing backstage after the match and being taken out by ambulance.

Cole and O’Reilly’s ambulances arrived at the hospital at the same time. As they were being wheeled in, Cole repeatedly yelled at O’Reilly and threatened him.

Tonight’s NXT also included an angle with Cole and O’Reilly’s former Undisputed Era stablemate Roderick Strong. Following the breakup of Undisputed Era, Strong met with NXT general manager William Regal on tonight’s show. Strong handed Regal an envelope and told Regal that he was “done” in NXT. Regal called Strong the ultimate professional and said he’s welcome back in NXT at any time.

Strong’s wife/fellow WWE wrestler Marina Shafir appeared with him during tonight’s meeting.

WWE has also announced that Sarray will make her NXT debut next Tuesday. The 24-year-old Sarray (formerly known as Sareee) is from Tokyo, Japan. World Woman Pro Wrestling Diana, SEAdLINNNG, and Sendai Girls’ Pro Wrestling are among the promotions she’s wrestled for during her career.

Sarray coming to NXT was officially confirmed last month. She was originally supposed to move to the United States and start with WWE in 2020, but that was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Sarray is using the nickname “The Warrior of the Sun” in NXT.

Sareee coming to WWE NXT, gets updated in-ring name

The NXT women’s division is getting a new addition.

During tonight’s episode of NXT, a video aired announcing that Sareee is coming to NXT. Her new in-ring name in WWE is Sarray and her nickname is “The Warrior of the Sun.”

The 24-year-old Sareee is from Tokyo, Japan. World Woman Pro Wrestling Diana, SEAdLINNNG, and Sendai Girls” Pro Wrestling are among the promotions she’s wrestled for.

Sareee announced in February 2020 that she had signed with WWE and would be moving to the United States, but that was delayed a year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

This January, Sareee revealed that she would be having her final match in Japan before starting with WWE. She moved to the United States in February, but her signing wasn’t officially announced by WWE until now. Her name wasn’t listed among the recruits that reported to the WWE Performance Center in February.

That February class was touted as the largest-ever group of Performance Center recruits in history. WWE also stated that it had the most female recruits of any Performance Center class ever. The class included former Impact Wrestling Knockouts Champion Taya Valkyrie, Booker T trainee and indie wrestler AQA, Lacey Ryan (now known as Zoey Stark in NXT), Priscilla Kelly (now known as Gigi Dolin in NXT), Elayna Black (now known as Cora Jade in NXT), and indie wrestlers Camron Branae, Avery Taylor, and Karissa Rivera.
