Ring of Honor television episode #359 was taped in Fairfax, Virginia at the end of June.
Chris Sabin defeated Silas Young to become the number one contender to the ROH Television Championship
Alex Shelley joined Ian Riccaboni and Colt Cabana on commentary for the opening match.
Sabin got the early edge with some nice chain wrestling that led to a roll-up. Sabin maintained control and landed a flip dive off the apron. He then landed a big kick that sent Young outside. Sabin went to the top turnbuckle and connected with a missile dropkick, and a tornado DDT by Sabin earned a two count.
Young finally cut him off with a backbreaker and an anarchist suplex. Young put the beatdown on him, but Sabin was able to fight back and landed a Cradle Shock driver for the pin. Sabin is now the number one contender to the ROH TV title. Punishment Martinez, the current TV Champion, came out on the entrance ramp to intimidate him after.
Marty Scurll defeated Shane “Hurricane” Helms
This was a battle of the superhero vs. the super villain. Scurll threw his scarf at Helms to start the match. Helms threw it back at him, which led to Helms getting the early advantage with some chain wrestling into a fireman’s carry and an armbar. Scurll managed to outmaneuver Helms and then spat in Helms’ face. He kept control and sent Helms outside, then stomped on his fingers.
Scurll hooked on some unique submissions, including a stranglehold into a lung blower. Helms was able to fight back and land an interesting looking variation of the Vertebreaker. Helms then landed the Eye of the Hurricane, but Scurll kicked out and landed a huge knee to his downed opponent.
Scurll snapped the fingers of Helms and went up top, but Helms followed and pulled off a really crazy neckbreaker. The referee had his back turned after a slight shove, which allowed Scurll to kick Helms low and roll him up for the win.
Los Ingobernobles de Japon (EVIL, SANADA & BUSHI) defeated SoCal Uncensored (Christopher Daniels, Frankie Kazarian & Scorpio Sky) and The Young Bucks & Hangman Page in a triple threat six-man tag match
There was an incredible opening sequence with basically everyone involved. Daniels landed an Arabian press moonsault to the outside, but The Young Bucks and Page landed triple superkicks on SCU and took over with their patented zany offense.
After the break, Daniels put SANADA down with an STO. Page got in and cut him off and went to work on SANADA with a buckle bomb. The Bucks hit a combo moonsault/frog splash, and Page followed up with a standing Shooting Star Press.
After a series of crazy moves, BUSHI spit green mist into the referee’s eyes. Kazarian used the ref’s arm to count the three, but BUSHI got his shoulder up at two and Kazarian stopped the count. The Bucks got superkick crazy and Page landed a cradle piledriver on SANADA, but the second ref didn’t make it down in time and SANADA kicked out.
Everyone spilled out to the floor, allowing BUSHI to hit a destroyer on Matt Jackson. Daniels and BUSHI were left in the ring, and Daniels hit a Blue Thunder Bomb. He went for the Angel’s Wings, but The Briscoes interfered and Jay waffled Daniels with a chair. That allowed BUSHI to hit a facebuster for the pin.
Episode #358 of Ring of Honor television continued the run of shows that were taped in Fairfax, Virginia following Best in the World.
A recap aired of Jay Lethal’s ROH World Championship victory over Dalton Castle, Cody Rhodes, and Matt Taven from the week before.
KUSHIDA defeated Jonathan Gresham
This match was a technical classic. A million back-and-forth exchanges started it off. Gresham had the early advantage with a few really nice pinning combinations. Some very unique looking offense from both men led us into the first commercial of the show.
Back from the break, KUSHIDA took over and worked Gresham’s arm with a few different submission holds. There was a back-and-forth pin exchange that lasted seemingly forever and got the crowd going. KUSHIDA was able to snatch the arm back and get a Kimura lock on Gresham. It looked like Gresham was going to have to tap, but he got to the ropes.
A striking exchange got Gresham the advantage, but KUSHIDA seemingly out of nowhere hooked on the fisherman’s DDT and spiked Gresham on top of his head for the victory.
SoCal Uncensored cut a promo on The Briscoes and The Kingdom and reminded us that they were the greatest tag team and/or six-man tag team on the planet.
Hana Kimura & Kagetsu defeated Jenny Rose & Mayu Iwatani
Mandy Leon joined Ian Riccaboni and Colt Cabana on commentary as she’s nearly ready to return from injury.
A lot of fun action started this off. Rose had control until Kagetsu grabbed the referee. This allowed Kimura to grab Rose and drag her out of the ring. Kagetsu then hit a dive through the ropes and landed on the pile.
Iwatani missed a dive off the top. Kimura went for a suplex but ate a kick. She then countered Iwatani for a suplex slam. The tag was made to the two fresher competitors. Kagetsu came in and went right after the eyes of Rose. Rose landed a fisherman’s suplex on Kagetsu and hit a big dive for a two count. Kagetsu countered a move of Rose and sunk in an armbar, but Rose got to the ropes.
Rose and Kagetsu exchanged forearms. Kagetsu distracted the ref, then Kimura came in and landed some shots with a wooden sign. Kagetsu hit a fireman’s carry falcon arrow on Rose for the win.
ROH Six-Man Tag Team Champions The Kingdom (Matt Taven, Vinny Marseglia & TK O’Ryan) defeated Eli Isom, Kenny King & Chuckie T to retain their titles
The makeshift team of Isom, King & Taylor had the early advantage as they landed some revolving corner smash forearms. Taylor landed Soul Food for a near fall. Next, King and Taven exchanged moves until Taven was thrown outside, which allowed King to land a dive. Back in the ring, Taylor landed a falcon arrow on O’Ryan. They all landed big kicks on each other, putting everyone down.
Taylor tagged in Isom, and Taven beat him down. Isom countered into a fallaway slam. Isom went up top, but Marseglia popped a balloon in his ear. The Kingdom went for the Rockstar Supernova on Isom, but Taylor and King pulled The Kingdom out of the ring. That allowed Isom to get an unsuccessful pin attempt on Taven.
Isom’s success didn’t last long as Taven countered his attempt at a hurricanrana back into the Rockstar Supernova for the win.
Episode #357 of Ring of Honor television was taped in Fairfax, Virginia and picked up where last month’s Best in the World pay-per-view left off.
The show opened with a video package highlighting the PPV.
Jay Lethal started off in the ring issuing a challenge for Dalton Castle’s ROH World Championship. Matt Taven then chimed in and said he deserved a title match as well. This brought out Cody Rhodes, who said the same thing. Then, ROH World Champion Dalton Castle showed up and granted them a four-way title match for tonight.
Women of Honor Champion Sumie Sakai defeated Hazuki to retain her title
Hazuki threw Sakai all around ringside. Hazuki was firmly in control, trying to get a notch on her belt by upsetting the champion. A TJ Special hit for Sakai, but Hazuki kicked out. Sakai hit a fisherman buster for a close two count. Hazuki landed a double knee to the face of the prone Sakai. However, Sakai battled back and landed her Smashmouth finish.
Backstage. Gregory Helms irritated Marty Scurll. He put a beating on Helms, including doing the finger-break spot.
Jay Lethal defeated Dalton Castle, Cody, and Matt Taven to win the ROH World Championship
Castle took the early lead, strutting until Taven sent him over the ropes. Lethal was ready to dive and did so like a dozen times. Back in the ring, Castle got his mojo back until Cody sunk on the American Death Lock. Taven broke up the lock with a dive on Cody.
Lethal locked the figure four on Castle. Lethal then chopped Taven 22 times. Castle went for the Bang-a-Rang, then Taven rolled up the champion and pinned him for like an eight count — but referee Todd Sinclair was busy checking on Lethal.
Cody hit the Cross Rhodes on Taven and got a near fall. Lethal landed a double Lethal Injection and then another, but Taven pulled the ref out.
Castle and Lethal swung wildly and exchanged blows. Castle hooked him for the Bang-a-Rang, but Lethal rolled through and Castle walked right into the Lethal Injection for the win. The two upheld the code of honor and shook hands as Castle handed the belt over to Lethal.
Matches from the promotion’s June show at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City continued to be featured on episode #356 of Ring of Honor television.
The show opened with The Kingdom talking about a conspiracy against them and how it doesn’t matter who wins the six-man gauntlet match tonight because their belts aren’t going anywhere.
Kelly Klein defeated Jenny Rose
This was a very basic match and was designed to get Klein over as a monster for her to take on Women of Honor Champion Sumie Sakai, as Klein put a beating on Rose.
Rose landed a nice German suplex and a spear for a near fall, but Klein hit a snap suplex, floated over, and hooked on the guillotine. Referee Todd Sinclair called for the bell after Rose went limp.
Backstage, The Dawgs entered Cody’s locker room. They were looking for money. Cody was quite annoyed and ended up throwing money at them to get them out of his hair.
The Kingdom joined Ian Riccaboni and Colt Cabana at the announce table for the gauntlet match because the winning team will get a Six-Man Tag Team title shot against them.
Gauntlet match: Alex Shelley, LSG & Jonathan Gresham defeated Shane Taylor & The Dawgs (Rhett Titus & Will Ferrara)
LSG got the hot tag and cleaned house on The Dawgs. He went to the top turnbuckle and did a 450 to the floor. He threw Ferrara back in and got the pin on Ferrara with a roll-up.
Gauntlet match: Alex Shelley, LSG & Jonathan Gresham defeated Silas Young & The Bouncers (Beer City Bruiser & Brian Milonas)
Silas Young and The Bouncers entered next. Gresham and Young exchanged a lot of reversals. The Bouncers took control and worked over Gresham. Gresham landed a DDT on Young and LSG got another hot tag. The Bouncers ended up taking over, but LSG landed a 450 on Milonas for the win.
This brought out the fourth team, SoCal Uncensored.
Gauntlet match: SoCal Uncensored (Christopher Daniels, Frankie Kazarian & Scorpio Sky) defeated Alex Shelley, LSG & Jonathan Gresham
SoCal Uncensored took over and laid waste to LSG. Sky hit a monster hurricanrana that allowed Daniels and Kazarian to hit Celebrity Rehab for the win.
This brought out the final team of the gauntlet match, Kenny King, Chuckie T & Eli Isom.
Gauntlet match: Kenny King, Chuckie T & Eli Isom defeated SoCal Uncensored (Christopher Daniels, Frankie Kazarian & Scorpio Sky)
Chuckie T ran wild. He tagged in King for some double team moves until Sky cut off King and tagged in Kazarian. King fought for his team and landed a nice spine buster on Kazarian, but his efforts were cut off by Daniels.
Sky did an insane flip dive that left Isom in the ring with Daniels. Isom was able to counter and get a pin on Daniels for the win. So, King, Chuckie T & Isom have earned a shot at The Kingdom’s Six-Man Tag Team titles.
Episode #355 of Ring of Honor television was taped at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City last month.
Cody Rhodes started off the show in a brief backstage promo talking about allowing Titan to survive and crawl back to CMLL.
Women of Honor Champion Sumie Sakai & Stella Grey defeated Riley Shepard & Gabby Ortiz
Grey and Sakai had the early advantage and double-teamed Ortiz until they were cut off. Sakai got a tag and came in and landed a double clothesline, a dropkick off the top, and a swinging neckbreaker, but Shepard recovered. Grey came in and landed a spear.
This one broke down until Sakai came in and landed the Smashmouth on Shepard for the win.
A video package aired showing the Cheeseburger vs. Bully Ray feud. Cheeseburger has defeated Bully Ray twice already, although the wins were via disqualification and countout.
Bully Ray defeated Cheeseburger in a no DQ match
Bully Ray came in during Cheeseburger’s entrance and landed a low blow before the bell even rang. He hit Cheeseburger with a trash can and continued to beat him down, which included Bully standing on his crotch while he was in the Tree of Woe. Bully laid waste to Burger with a kendo stick. He even threatened Cary Silkin and referee Todd Sinclair. However, Bully made an error and turned his back, which gave Cheeseburger the opportunity to grab the kendo stick and lay waste to Bully.
The size difference was too great, however, and Bully powerbombed Cheeseburger easily and then used a chain as a weapon. Sinclair tried to get him to stop, so Bully hit him as well.
From the announce desk, Colt Cabana had seen enough and made the save by spearing Bully. The crowd went nuts for Cabana, who held Bully down so Cheeseburger could use a cheese grater on him. Cabana helped Cheeseburger put a table in the ring, but Bully came back, set up the table, and went for a splash, but Cheeseburger moved and Bully went through the table himself.
It appeared that Cheeseburger had him beat again, but Bully kicked out at two. Cheeseburger looked for the palm strike, but Bully landed the big boot for the pin.
Caprice Coleman’s Pulpit aired with guests The Kingdom. They offered Coleman some blood wine and then talked about a conspiracy. Coleman told a confusing story and claimed there was no conspiracy. Then everyone yelled at each other until Vinny Marseglia popped a balloon.
Two vignettes aired. The first was SoCal Uncensored griping about the Kingdom. The second was The Dawgs shaking down a stagehand for six dollars.
Cody defeated Titan
Brandi Rhodes and Burnard the Business Bear accompanied Cody. Cody stalled for a while and Titan showed off with some kip ups. Some evenly matched grappling started it off until Titan did a handstand and Cody kicked him and took over. Titan landed a springboard crossbody, but both Burnard and Brandi interfered to keep Titan from gaining control.
Burnard interfered again, but Cody accidentally clotheslined him — which allowed Titan to do a moonsault to the floor on both of them. Back in the ring, Cody landed a big boot and told Brandi to throw in the hairspray. Titan grabbed it instead, but Cody nailed the Disaster Kick.
Titan kicked out and fired back, but Cody grabbed Titan and unmasked him. That allowed Cody to roll him up for the pin.
Prior to Best in the World, episode #354 of Ring of Honor television was taped in New York City on June 2.
Kenny King defeated Jonathan Gresham
This match was full of incredible chain wrestling from both men. It seemed like Gresham had a kip up, a pin, or a reversal for everything King threw at him. There were quite a few arm drags from each man, including a nice Mexican arm drag sequence from King, off of which he used some arm submissions to slow down the speedier Gresham.
It looked like Gresham had the upper hand after a long chain of cradle attempts and a moonsault, but King was able to finally get a hold of him and land the Royal Flush slam for the pin.
Josh Woods defeated Facade
Shane Taylor joined Ian Riccaboni and Colt Cabana to scout Woods. This was a showcase of Woods’ offense, which consisted of some strong striking and some impressive deadlift-style suplexes.
Facade wasn’t able to get much offense in, but he did do some impressive moves using his superior agility. He walked the top rope out to the middle and landed a dropkick, which he followed up with a running double-jump front flip dive. Woods finally countered Facade into a rolling German suplex, which led to a big slam off his shoulders for the pin.
Woods confronted Taylor and wanted to fight him right then, but Taylor said no because he doesn’t fight for free.
Backstage, The Dawgs were looking for a third man so they can enter the six-man tag team gauntlet next week. They went into Shane Taylor’s dressing room and offered him an I.O.U. as payment to join their team. Taylor said no and that they already owe him money — and if they pay him again in change, there will be trouble.
A video package aired hyping the no disqualification match next week between Bully Ray and Cheeseburger.
Matt Taven defeated Ultimo Guerrero
Taven cut off Guerrero and distracted the referee so TK O’Ryan could choke Guerrero. On the outside, Guerrero took over and tossed Taven into the crowd and also threw O’Ryan around for good measure.
Taven took advantage after Guerrero missed a splash from the top to the floor. Taven did a dive to the floor over the top rope but connected with O’Ryan instead. This allowed Guerrero to sit both men on a chair so he could hit them both with a running splash. Guerrero chopped away at Taven until Taven was able to connect with a running knee and a moonsault. Taven put Guerrero on the top turnbuckle and went for a hurricanrana, but Guerrero turned it into a huge powerbomb.
Taven regained control and went back up top, but Guerrero grabbed him. Guerrero was distracted by The Kingdom, which allowed Vinny Marseglia to pop a balloon in Guerrero’s ear. Taven then hit the Climax spike DDT for the pin.
Taven ended the show with a promo about his greatness, and said he will always be better than Guerrero.
Episode #353 of Ring of Honor television was taped in New York City at the Hammerstein Ballroom.
Dalton Castle and The Boys kicked things off with a promo about the upcoming three-way World title match at the Best in the World pay-per-view this Friday, June 29 in Baltimore, Maryland.
Castle said he’s not afraid to get into the ring with two men (Cody Rhodes and Marty Scurll) because he used to play semi-pro Jai alai in Tampa. He then attempted to use a pretzel as a metaphor but acknowledged that he was not sure what a metaphor was, but said that the title will remain his for a long time.
A highlight reel of Jay Lethal avenging his recent losses aired. Next on that list was Chuckie T.
Jay Lethal defeated Chuckie T
Respectful chain wrestling started it off. Chuckie got the advantage early, taking time to pose during a submission. He went for a moonsault and landed on his feet, then knocked Lethal down with a dropkick.
After the commercial, Lethal connected with his patented triple dive sequence and took control of the match — that was until Chuckie connected with the Soul Food boot to the jaw. A ton of reversals with each man landing on their feet repeatedly went until Chuckie landed outside and Lethal snapped off a Lethal Injection on the floor. Chuckie barely made it back into the ring before the 20 count expired.
Chuckie was able to stick Lethal with a snap piledriver for a two count. He then went for the Awful Waffle, but Lethal countered and landed the Lethal Injection for the victory.
A video recap played of Bully Ray low blowing and mocking Flip Gordon leading to their matchup at Best in the World.
The Young Bucks & Hangman Page defeated The Briscoes & Punishment Martinez
It took about 30 seconds for this one to break down into a wild brawl. The Bucks briefly took out Martinez with a double dropkick. Page landed a Shooting Star Press off the apron, then the Bucks double teamed the Briscoes and had control until Martinez came back and landed an insane flip dive off the cap of the ring post onto the Bucks and Page.
The Briscoes set up a table on the outside, with Mark Briscoe landing a huge elbow off the top rope onto Matt Jackson through it. The referee had been distracted by Martinez. Finally, Nick Jackson landed a huge dive, wiped out the Briscoes, and tagged Page, who landed his dropkick moonsault combo. Martinez and Page had a standoff until Page spit in his face and sent him outside with a clothesline. Page then hit a gigantic moonsault on all three opponents from the corner to the floor.
The Bucks hit a combo splash moonsault of their own on Martinez. It looked like the end, but the Briscoes broke it up. The Bucks were able to apply double Sharpshooters on the Briscoes, but Martinez grabbed their throats until Page connected with the Buck Shot. Martinez was in trouble after a draping 450 by Nick, but he kicked out at two.
The Briscoes took control and seemingly landed a Doomsday Device, but Matt landed on his feet. Martinez hit his psycho driver and a curb stomp on Matt, but he kicked out at two as well.
Nick bounced a chair off of Mark Briscoe’s dome, which led to a super kick party on Jay Briscoe. It looked like it was all over, but Mark cut off the Meltzer Driver with an insane cutter off the top rope. Jay landed the Jay Driller on Matt, but Page broke up the pin. Page then took Martinez off the apron and powerbombed him through a table. The Briscoes went for the Doomsday Device, but Matt ducked and was able to get the pin with the victory roll.
Cody made the save for the Bullet Club team as the Briscoes tried to attack them after the match.
This episode of Ring of Honor television was again taped at the Odeum in Chicago, Illinois.
The Bullet Club (Cody Rhodes, The Young Bucks, Marty Scurll, and Adam “Hangman” Page) opened the show and announced that their opponents for the main event tonight would be Los Ingobernables de Japon in a 10-man tag team match. Bullet Club said the J in LIJ stands for jabronis.
Ian Riccaboni and Colt Cabana called the action. Riccaboni mentioned that Chicago is Cabana’s hometown — to which Cabana replied that there are many billboards of him up in the area.
Kenny King defeated Chuckie T
On his way to the ring, King said he had not forgotten about Austin Aries giving him a low blow and a brainbuster a few weeks back.
King wanted a hug of honor instead of a handshake. An even matchup started it off and a nice wrestling exchange ended in a hug. Another grappling mix-up ended in another hug, but Chuckie T used it as an opportunity to connect with a belly-to-belly suplex.
King nailed a twisting dive to the floor and then took time to pose for a selfie with a fan, who took too long so King left and yelled, “have your cameras ready.” Then Chuckie T hit a dive and gave the same fan a chance to get a selfie with him instead. Back in the ring, Chuckie hit a snap piledriver, then went for the Awful Waffle, but King countered into the Royal Flush for the pin and the win.
A replay of The Briscoes beatdown of The Young Bucks with chairs from a few weeks ago led into a Briscoes promo. Jay Briscoe said the Bucks were the best in the world at selling T-shirts, but that they would not beat them for the titles on June 29 in Baltimore, Maryland, at the Best in the World pay-per-view.
Shane Taylor cut a promo in the ring and called Josh Woods and King Mo “losers,” which led to our next match.
Shane Taylor defeated Josh Woods
A replay of Woods getting a win over Taylor from West Palm Beach, Florida with an assist from King Mo reminded us of why Taylor was so upset.
Taylor hit a bowling ball roll on Woods into the barricades. He was firmly in control until Woods took his back and hit two German suplexes, but Woods walked into a huge right hand and got knocked out for the pin.
ROH World Champion Dalton Castle and The Boys joined Riccaboni and Cabana to get a closer look at his upcoming opponents, Cody and Marty Scurll.
Bullet Club (Cody, The Young Bucks, Marty Scurll & Adam Page) defeated Los Ingobernables de Japon (Tetsuya Naito, EVIL, SANADA, BUSHI & Hiromu Takahashi)
Cody and Naito started it off, with Naito spitting at him and Cody bailing. Naito faked going for a dive and instead laid down for a relaxing pose. This brought Scurll and BUSHI in for some chain wrestling. The Bucks then entered and squared up with EVIL and SANADA. This brought everyone in for a 10-man standoff that turned into a wild brawl. Bullet Club got the advantage after some dives, but Takahashi used Daryl Jr. to clear house until he ate a superkick.
Scurll and Takahashi tagged in for a striking exchange. Scurll used a foot stomp and multiple superkicks and went for the chicken wing. Takahashi countered and backdropped Scurll into the corner.
Nick Jackson got the tag and nailed a facebuster for a near fall. The Bucks locked on double Sharpshooters but were cut off by Takahashi and Naito, who then got cut off by the Buck Shot from Page. Out of nowhere, Punishment Martinez came to the ring and he and Page battled to the back in anticipation of their match at Best in the World.
After the break, LIJ were in control briefly until each man from both teams came in and hit moves back and forth, including a Japanese Destroyer from BUSHI and a Magic Killer on Matt Jackson. It looked like that was the end, but Nick pulled referee Todd Sinclair out of the ring at the last second.
It looked like Nick was going to take a sunset flip powerbomb to the floor, but Burnard the Business Bear made the save and then took the green mist from BUSHI. Cody grabbed BUSHI from behind and Scurll went to hit him with his cane, but BUSHI moved and Scurll hit Cody.
A superkick party ensued and the Bucks finally landed the 5 Star Meltzer Driver on BUSHI for the win.
From the Odeum in Chicago, Illinois, this was episode #351 of Ring of Honor television. Colt Cabana and Ian Riccaboni called the action.
Flip Gordon defeated Jonathan Gresham
The match started with some impressive chain wrestling, and unsurprisingly, flips by each man. Gordon landed on his feet after a leg sweep and gave Gresham a “You can’t see me” hand wave. Gresham then attempted to hook up his version of the Octopus. A dropkick sent Gresham outside and Gordon launched himself onto him on the floor.
After the commercial, a strike exchange ensued for a very long time until Gordon hit an amazing back heel kick over his own shoulder and landed a Falcon Arrow. Gresham kicked out and managed a quick roll-up, but Gordon kicked out and then landed a Star Spangled Stunner for the win.
Bully Ray came to the ring and said his perspective of Gordon has changed because he has learned that Gordon is from Montana. Ray told a story about wanting to buy a ranch for his father in Montana, but his father had a heart attack and died before he bought it. Ray said that he respected Gordon in life because of his Montana roots as well as his time served in the Army.
Ray said that there was no heat anymore and asked for a handshake. He shook Gordon’s hand, gave him a salute, and then hit a low blow. Ray laughed and told Gordon that he is nothing but a stupid young boy.
A video package aired setting up the grudge match between Kelly Klein and Deonna Purrazzo.
A recap aired of last week’s main event of Austin Aries vs. Silas Young and Aries’ subsequent loss and meltdown involving his groin attacks of both head referee Todd Sinclair and former friend Kenny King.
Kelly Klein defeated Deonna Purrazzo
Purrazzo came to the ring in street fight gear — jeans and a T-shirt. She got the early jump on Klein, beat her down, and went to work on the arm.
After the break, Purrazzo remained in control and hit three German suplexes, then locked on an arm submission. It was all Purrazzo until Klein was able to counter and launch her into the ring post. Klein landed a fall-away slam from the second rope. Purrazzo got back to her feet and pushed Klein, who bumped into the referee.
Purrazzo landed a cutter, but no referee was there to count the pin. She hooked up the Fujiwara armbar, but Klein reversed it into a choke and Purrazzo tapped out immediately.
In a promo, Jay Lethal announced that his rubber match against KUSHIDA for Best in the World was now official.
Also in a promo, Dalton Castle said that Cody Rhodes and Marty Scurll should fear him at Best in the World because his internal fire rages like a furnace.
Caprice Coleman joined Cabana and Riccaboni on commentary for the main event.
ROH Tag Team Champions The Briscoes defeated Roppongi 3K (Sho & Yoh) to retain their titles
The Briscoes got a lot of heat on Yoh until Sho got the hot tag and ran wild. Sho hit three German suplexes on Mark Briscoe with a superkick assist by Yoh. The Briscoes got back in control after a lariat on Sho. The Briscoes hit some impressive double-team maneuvers, including a double football shoulder tackle and a Razor’s Edge into a cutter. They also hit a power plex elbow combo, but Sho kicked out.
Roppongi 3K fired up and made a comeback with double knees and double flip dives. They threw Mark back in the ring and landed their 3K finisher, but he kicked out. It looked like 3K was on the verge of winning until Jay Briscoe threw a chair into the ring for a distraction. Then Mark kicked Yoh below the belt and the Jay Driller finished it.
The result makes it official that The Briscoes will be defending the ROH Tag Team belts against The Young Bucks at Best in the World on June 29th.
This week’s episode of Ring of Honor television was number 350 and was taped at the Orpheum in Chicago. It was a two-match show that featured a Women of Honor match, as well as a Television title defense in the main event.
Cody Rhodes was in the ring with Burnard the Business Bear to discuss his upcoming three-way title match at Best in the World, airing live from Baltimore on Friday, June 29th. The title match on the pay-per-view will be current ROH World Champion Dalton Castle defending against two Bullet Club members, Cody and Marty Scurll.
Cody said that he in fact was the new leader of the Bullet Club and that Scurll was simply one of the members. This analysis brought out Scurll, who entered the ring and appeared to make nice with Cody, offering a friendly, honorable handshake. Cody accepted, but Scurll feigned breaking his fingers and instead gave Cody’s palm a gentle tap. Scurll then pointed out how easily he could have broken the vulnerable fingers of his future foe.
Tenille Dashwood defeated Karen Q
Q cut off Dashwood with a kick to the gut and a neckbreaker. She followed it up with a beatdown, including a nice running triple strike combination in the corner. Dashwood hit the Taste of Tenille but only managed a two count. Q went for her variation of the Boston Crab, but she lowered her head too far and Dashwood shoved it through her legs and was able to hold down Q’s shoulders for the pinfall victory.
A promo aired for Best in the World hyping up Punishment Martinez vs. Hangman Page as well as ROH Tag Team Champions The Briscoes vs. The Young Bucks.
ROH TV Champion Silas Young defeated Austin Aries by DQ after a referee reversal
This was Aries’ first match in ROH in three years. He’s now known as the “belt collector,” as he came to the ring wearing two belts and holding a third. The story of this match was that these two were both from Wisconsin and broke into the business together, and so each wrestler knew everything the other was going to attempt.
There were a lot of clever reversals, including a spot where Young went for his Misery finisher, Aries countered and went for the brainbuster, Young countered that, Aries countered again, and neither man was able to land. Eventually, Young hit the Pee Gee Waja Plunge (Arabian moonsault from a headstand in the corner) but was unable to get the three count.
There was a referee bump, which brought out Beer City Bruiser to aide Young. However, Kenny King was in tow and cut off Bruiser before the interference. King laid out Bruiser and then used one of Aries’ belts to knock out Young. Aries went for the cover just as the referee was coming to, and Aries appeared to get the win to add the TV title to his collection.
But just as Aries was hoisting his newest possession, head referee Todd Sinclair came to the ring, overturned the decision, and awarded the win to Young via disqualification.
This sent Aries into a rage and he kicked Sinclair for a low blow. Ian Riccaboni and Colt Cabana surmised that this was going to levy a huge fine for Aries. King went to comfort Aries, but Aries wanted none of that and also kicked King in the jewels, gave him a brainbuster, and just for good measure, slapped on the Last Chancery, which brought the show to a close.
From the Odeum Theater in Chicago, Illinois, Ring of Honor presented episode #349 of their television series, featuring the first-ever Women of Honor Championship defense and a Six-Man tag title main event.
– Ian Riccaboni and Colt Cabana were on commentary this evening.
Cheeseburger & Jushin Thunder Liger defeated The Dawgs (Rhett Titus & Will Ferrara)
The crowd threw streamers for Liger and Cheeseburger. Cheeseburger started with a few roll-ups, but Titus tossed him. Cheeseburger tagged Liger and they hit stereo cannon ball dives off the apron.
Back from the break, Liger was surfing on Ferrara’s spine. Titus made a blind tag, aka a slap to the back of Ferrara’s head, which caused a bit of dissension, and Titus launched Ferrara into Cheeseburger. Ferrara and Titus then hit doggy splashes off the bottom rope.
Cheeseburger managed to land a reverse tornado DDT and Liger got the hot tag. Liger hit a Liger Bomb on Ferrara, then double Shotei palm strikes on both foes led to a Liger brainbuster on Titus for the win.
– ROH World Champion Dalton Castle challenged both Marty Scurll and Cody Rhodes for Best in the World, claiming that each man has a deserving case for a title shot.
Women of Honor Champion Sumie Sakai defeated Jenny Rose to retain her title
This was the first-ever WOH title defense in history. Early on, Sakai landed a crossbody block off the top turnbuckle to the floor. However, a side slam and a swinging fisherman’s suplex gave Rose control. Rose connected with a shoulder tackle on Sakai, who was on the apron, and Sakai went tumbling to the floor.
Rose hit a drop toe hold onto a chair outside the ring, but she got lazy as she rolled Sakai back in. Sakai landed a hurricanrana off the top and followed it up with the Smash Mouth for the win.
SoCal Uncensored (Christopher Daniels, Frankie Kazarian, & Scorpio Sky) defeated ROH Six-Man Tag Team Champions The Kingdom (Matt Taven, Vinny Marseglia & TK O’Ryan) by DQ
Daniels popped a balloon over Marseglia’s head and Cabana commented that it may be the only pop Daniels receives tonight. Later, Marseglia popped a balloon in Sky’s ear. The Kingdom beat down Sky, using a triple hot shot on the top rope. Sky almost made the tag, but The Kingdom pulled his partners off the apron.
Eventually, Sky tagged Kazarian, who brought Taven in the hard way into a cutter, then used a Northern Lights suplex and a bridge for a double pin, but The Kingdom kicked out. SCU used a double hip toss into a dual powerbomb and cutter for a near fall. Kazarian hit an outside-in DDT on Marseglia.
Then came the dives. Taven landed a big dive on Daniels, Kazarian hit a leaping rana to the floor, Marseglia used a springboard plancha, and O’Ryan looked to hit a moonsault but was cut off by a knee from Sky, who then used a running flip dive on everyone.
Back in the ring, Daniels grabbed some knucks, but the referee stopped him from connecting with the loaded punch. Taven attempted to strike Daniels with his cane, but the ref grabbed that as well, and as the ref was setting the cane outside, Kazarian came running into the ring with a chair. Taven ducked the chair shot, causing Kazarian to hit the rope with the chair. It ricocheted back into his own head, creating a self knockout.
The referee didn’t see what happened but heard the chair shot, so he called for the bell and awarded the match to SoCal Uncensored by disqualification. The Kingdom remain the ROH Six-Man champions.
Next week’s main event will be Austin Aries returning to ROH in-ring action for the first time in over three years as he challenges for Silas Young’s TV title.
After the match, Riccaboni officially announced that the three-way World Championship main event between Castle, Cody, and Scurll has been signed and is set for ROH’s next pay-per-view, Best in the World, on June 29th in Baltimore.
This set of television tapings is building to Ring of Honor’s Best in the World pay-per-view in Baltimore on June 29th.
Episode 347 quick summary —
Kelly Klein defeated Madison Rayne
Motor City Machine Guns defeated The Dawgs (Rhett Titus & Will Ferrara)
The “Neon Ninja” Facade vs. Eli Isom ended in a no contest as Bully Ray interfered. Cheeseburger came out to confront Bully and ate a chokeslam, which brought out Joe Koff to fire Bully from his “enforcer” position. This led to Bully announcing that he is no longer retired and will be back in action as a wrestler.
The Young Bucks defeated The Briscoes by DQ when The Briscoes used chairs to lay out the Bucks. They also laid out Hangman Page and Marty Scurll.
Episode 348: Dissension within the Bullet Club?
Jay Lethal defeated Punishment Martinez
This started with Lethal hitting seven consecutive tope dives on Martinez. Lethal then went to work on the knee of the big man. Martinez hit a step-up enzuigiri and a spinwheel kick off the top, but his leg was wobbly.
They had a classic rookie vs. veteran match. Lethal connected with an elbow drop off the top rope and went back to work on the leg with the Figure Four. Martinez escaped and went for a discus lariat, failing due to the knee injury. Lethal hit a superkick into the Lethal Injection for the win.
– A video package showed Jenny Rose cutting a promo where she challenged Women of Honor Champion Sumie Sakai.
Shane Taylor vs. Joey “Diesel” Daddiego ended in a no contest
Taylor put a beating on Daddiego, hit a double sit-out chokeslam, and followed up with a splash, but Daddiego kicked out. Taylor missed a rolling corner splash as Daddiego fired back. He hit the Daddiego Driver, but Taylor kicked out.
The two brawled outside as the match ended in a no contest, with Daddiego finding himself on the wrong end of a Taylor splash from the apron across two folding chairs. Referees ran in to stop the beating and one of them took a chokeslam for his efforts. On commentary, Ian Riccaboni mentioned that Taylor will be fined for that. Security ran in, and Taylor hit a uranage and a sit-out piledriver on them
– Cody and Brandi Rhodes talked about Cody challenging Dalton Castle for the ROH World Championship at Best in the World.
– ROH recapped Bully Ray chokeslamming Cheeseburger and his announcement from earlier. There was also a recap of last week’s main event where The Young Bucks defeated The Briscoes by disqualification.
The Bullet Club (Cody, Marty Scurll & Hangman Page) w/ Burnard the Business Bear defeated SoCal Uncensored (Christopher Daniels, Frankie Kazarian & Scorpio Sky)
A fancy cartwheel by Cody started us off, and he went for a delayed suplex and bicep flex on Sky heading into a break. Out of commercial, Scurll popped out of a headscissors by Daniels and tagged in Page, who faced off with Kazarian. Page hit a standing dropkick on Daniels and a moonsault on Kazarian.
Cody came back in and springboard kicked Scurll on accident (or was it?), allowing Daniels to cut him off. A triple team on Cody ended with Sky hitting a jumping hurricanrana. A simultaneous lariat by Cody and Daniels resulted in a double down as Daniels tagged in Sky and Cody brought in Scurll. Scurll connected with a superkick to the knee, then the Bullet Club triple teamed Sky with a drop toe hold, dropkick, and running Shooting Star Press by Page. Daniels hit an Arabian press moonsault on Cody to the outside.
A big dive sequence was followed up by a superplex on Daniels from Cody, and everyone was down. Riccaboni reminded us that ROH uses a 20 count, and everyone came in at 19. Scurll attacked the finger of Daniels, but Daniels used an STO to cut him off. Page powerbombed Daniels, but Kazarian hit a cutter. Sky slingshotted in from the outside and also landed a cutter on Cody.
Scurll used a pumphandle brainbuster on the knee to set up the chicken wing, but Sky was able to escape. Page hit a buckshot double lariat and Cody grabbed Sky, using a unique new move on him. Page then hit the Rite of Passage on Sky for the win.
SoCal Uncensored cut off the post-match celebration, but the Bullet Club grabbed Daniels. Scurll accidentally struck Cody with a cane as he went to hit Daniels. Was this retribution for the earlier kick? The show ended with everyone wondering if that cane shot was accidental, and whether the Bullet Club is in working order.
Elevating current stars and establishing new ones was the theme of Ring of Honor television from this past week with the first episode in a series taped during the War of the Worlds tour. The fallout began to shape the next pay-per-view card.

The newest show becomes available on Monday evening via the FITE app before airing Wednesday at midnight ET on Comet TV (including on Comet’s free online live stream).
Show Recap —
Opening the show was a video package showing the Bullet Club angle at War of the Worlds in NYC where Marty Scurll joined the group as Adam Cole departed. This was the first episode to air from the series of shows taped in Philadelphia after the PPV, so this show was fresh and more recent than the episodes airing the past few weeks.
Notable advertising elements on the show included an ad airing twice plugging the AXS TV live coverage of the NJPW shows in Long Beach.
Also, ROH inked an international TV deal for their show to begin airing in India. In their weekly plugs for the house shows and live events, “national TV tapings” are also now called “international TV tapings” in the rundown of the live shows.
The first full segment of the show was an in-ring promo. The Bullet Club has a new member and The Young Bucks came out to introduce him to the live crowd. Hangman Page flanked them as well, lurking in the background. The new member really did not need an introduction for the fans in attendance. The crowd began doing the “whoop whoop” routine for his theme song as soon as the music started. They knew him well.
Marty Scurll got a great reaction when he appeared on stage as the newest member of the Bullet Club. He displayed his Bullet Club branded umbrella. He also cut a promo using slang from the United Kingdom. On commentary, Colt Cabana asked Ian Riccaboni if he spoke British.
Scurll then proclaimed he wanted to have a tea party in the ring. He called for tea and crumpets to be brought out. Instead, Adam Cole interrupted the proceedings for “story time…BAY-BAY!”
He claimed being kicked out of the Bullet Club is the worst mistake the group has ever made. Hangman Page threatened Cole, vowing to run him out of ROH. This set up a match for the next episode, with the likely idea of Cole putting over Page to elevate him on the way out. That’s not a spoiler, just solid booking. Plus, it fit the show’s theme of moving people up the card.
Josh “The Goods” Woods defeated David Starr
An angle that aired many weeks ago during the final match of the Top Prospect Tournament set up this encounter. Woods won the tournament and Starr attacked him afterwards. The provocation was apparently due to Starr being upset that he was not part of the tourney.
Starr was the crowd favorite as he is part of the indie scene in the area. Woods would go on to gain the respect of the crowd. A slugfest developed. They both looked strong until the match quickly ended with Woods rolling through in a transition from a heel hook to a kneebar. Starr tapped out to give Woods the win.
Arguably, the grudge match was too short. However, the outcome helped to establish Woods and elevated his standing, which fit with the theme of the show.
A music video hyped Damian “Punishment” Martinez in another attempt to elevate a star. That trend kept continuing.
Silas Young and Beer City Bruiser sauntered to the ring. Young cut a promo and Bruiser drank beer. Young insulted Jay Lethal, bringing him rushing into the ring. Young and Bruiser scattered as they powdered out. Lethal grabbed a microphone for a response.
The segment was turning into something typical from WWE when Lethal asked a rhetorical question: “What the hell am I even doing with this microphone?” Lethal added, “This is not the company where we talk about our problems.”
This is ROH and they settle things in the ring, so Lethal challenged Young. Ever the heel, Young told Lethal he first had to go through Bruiser.
Jay Lethal vs. Beer City Bruiser ended in a no contest
Young was providing guest commentary, which played into the finish. Bruiser tried to gain an underhanded advantage by rushing into the ring and jumping Lethal before the bell. Lethal fought him off and they brawled around ringside.
Bruiser got heat on Lethal until a comeback. As Lethal climbed the turnbuckles and signaled for Hail to the King, Bruiser rolled out of the ring. Lethal jumped off the top with a plancha to wipe out Bruiser.
Suddenly, Lethal turned his attention to Young just before they began slugging it out. The referee called for the bell. Bruiser and Young were starting a beatdown when Bobby Fish ran in to make the save. Lethal feuding with Young should in theory elevate Young up the cards, continuing the theme of the show.
Before the main event began, Cody (Rhodes) cut a promo in the ring. He was upset about the finish in the main event at War of the Worlds. Cody blamed everybody but himself for not winning the ROH World title. He laid blame on corporate powers, even calling out Sinclair Broadcasting by name, in saying they are afraid of having their champion be basically an unsigned free agent. He did give credit to Christopher Daniels for being smart.
Cody seemed to focus on one particular moment from the triple threat match at War of the Worlds. Cody insisted he had Lethal laying prone flat on the mat in the figure four leglock. He persuaded Colt Cabana to repeat a line on commentary he supposedly said that night about having Lethal down for a pin. Cabana was reluctant at first, but he eventually did as Cody asked.
Cody was concluding his point about being the rightful champion when Frankie Kazarian’s theme music cut him off.
Cody defeated Frankie Kazarian
The match developed into a melee early on. Kazarian gained an advantage until Cody went back to the outside. He grabbed a cup of beer from a fan, then hit Kazarian with it. This seemingly helped turn the tide.
Cody began taunting Kazarian at one point. When the action spilled outside again, Cody inadvertently kicked one of the ring crew. Kazarian dove with a plancha and wiped out both Cody and the crew member.
They eventually returned to the ring where they had several false finishes and near falls. It built masterfully with Kazarian locking in a submission hold. Cody escaped and the match was nip-and-tuck down the final stretch. Cody finally delivered Cross Rhodes to pin Kazarian.
Afterwards, Hangman Page joined Cody in setting up a beatdown. Before they could pummel Kazarian, Christopher Daniels stormed into the ring to make the save as the show closed.
Though the episode left an open-ended question about Cody demanding a title match with Daniels, ROH this past week officially announced Cody vs. Daniels for the title as the main event of the next PPV.
On the newest episode of ROH TV airing this weekend in syndication, it’s Adam Cole’s swan song in ROH with a match against Hangman Page. Plus, Los Ingobernables de Japon appear in an eight-man tag match.
The Bullet Club showed their devious side when Adam Cole swerved the audience by teasing dissension in the main event where he teamed with Cody (Rhodes) for a tag team match against Dalton Castle and ROH World Champion Christopher Daniels.
Elsewhere on the show, The Young Bucks defended their ROH World Tag Team titles against the challenge of a cheerleading team. Also, Punishment Martinez looked to tap a keg.

Show Recap —
The episode opened with an entrance by The Young Bucks for a tag match set up after an angle on a previous show. The Squad came through the crowd and hopped a guardrail for a sneak attack on Nick and Matt Jackson.
ROH World Tag Team Champions The Young Bucks defeated The Squad to retain their titles
The Squad (formerly the Spirit Squad in WWE) was Mike Mondo and Ken Doane. They were getting the better of the Jacksons after the sneak attack, but The Young Bucks soon fired up to cut them off. Moments later, The Squad turned the tide and got heat on Matt Jackson.
That led to a hot tag where Nick Jackson ran wild. The Bucks eventually executed the Meltzer Driver and Matt pinned Mondo for the pinfall. In winning, The Young Bucks retained their tag team titles.
Flanked by The Kingdom, Matt Taven cut a promo hyping him challenging for the World title match against Christopher Daniels. Taven called Daniels a “dinosaur” while also saying other unkind things as he waved his walking stick. The Kingdom cohorts nodded their approval.
In another promo, Mark & Jay Briscoe hyped a tag match with their tag partner, Bully Ray, defending the six-man titles against The Rebellion. That match is the main event on the next episode.
Damian “Punishment” Martinez defeated Beer City Bruiser
Silas Young joined the announce booth to provide guest commentary. This was a mean guy match and heel against heel. They went back-and-forth throughout much of the match like the proverbial unstoppable force meeting the immovable object.
Bruiser is a big proponent of the cannonball. He must be fun at pool parties. Well, he also brought a keg of beer to the ring with him so he is probably quite fun at parties.
Anyway, back to the cannonballs. Bruiser did one off the apron before doing some others in the ring. On commentary, Colt Cabana pondered Bruiser’s weight when converted from pounds to chili dogs. I was unaware chili dogs were a unit of measure, but you learn something new every day.
Bruiser would eventually walk into a superkick and a goozle, then Martinez delivered a chokeslam for the pinfall.
ROH World TV Champion Marty Scurll cut a brief promo on Matt Sydal. Scurll basically said he would remain champ even after their match at War of the Worlds.
In another promo, Adam Cole again tried to reiterate that the Bullet Club is stronger than ever despite recent dissension with himself and the Elite trifecta of The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega.
Jay Lethal provided guest commentary for the main event tag match. This led to an angle afterwards as Lethal has an ongoing feud with Cody.
Adam Cole & Cody defeated Christopher Daniels & Dalton Castle (w/ The Boys)
Beforehand, Cody demanded that The Boys leave ringside but they stayed anyhow.
Cody squared off with Castle at the start, with Castle getting the better of the exchanges. Daniels then also began to dominate exchanges with Cody until he was cut off. Cole tagged in as the Bullet Club appeared to get heat on Daniels. It wasn’t for long, as the babyfaces quickly regrouped.
Cody hit Castle with a low blow to set up the heat spot. Bullet Club began working over Castle as The Boys tried to rally support from the crowd. Cody went for a disaster kick only to inadvertently hit Cole. Dissension then emerged as an angry Cole stormed off to leave Cody hanging. Or did he?
Daniels unleashed a volley of offense on Cody as he looked to set up his Angel’s Wings finisher. With Cody hooked, Daniels went to hoist him up when Cole suddenly rushed into the ring to superkick Daniels.
Cole executed the Last Shot and Cody delivered Cross Rhodes. Cody then covered Daniels for the pinfall. So, Cody scored a pin on the World Champion ahead of him challenging for the title.
Following the match, Cody and Cole stood over a beaten Daniels to taunt him. The Young Bucks joined them in the ring as they all posed.
After the Bullet Club left the scene, Jay Lethal got in the ring to confront Daniels. An aggressive Lethal was upset the PPV match was a triple threat match. He wanted a singles match. He and Daniels began arguing when Cody returned to the ring to jump them.
They began brawling and Lethal wiped out the other two with a Lethal Injection. Lethal posed with the World title belt as the show closed.
Ring of Honor television from this past week featured a four corner survival match that set up the main event title bout for the War of the Worlds pay-per-view.
Also on the show, the former Spirit Squad encountered a Superkick Party hosted by The Young Bucks. Meanwhile, Matt Sydal returned to an ROH ring for a match, while The Kingdom also got to shine in a tag match.

Show Recap —
The episode opened with highlights from a previous show, showing the setup to the four corner survival match for later on this episode.
On commentary, both Ian Riccaboni and Colt Cabana are beginning to find a groove in their roles at the announce desk.
The Kingdom defeated Coast to Coast
The injured TK O’Ryan was at ringside in the corner of The Kingdom. He distracted Coast to Coast at the outset so the heels could attack. Coast to Coast countered and both Shaheem Ali and Leon St. Giovanni did dives to the outside.
After a commercial break, The Kingdom regrouped to dominate until a hot tag to St. Giovanni. Coast to Coast went for their namesake finisher, but The Kingdom cut them off to set up a finisher of their own.
Matt Taven held up the referee’s count. He then executed the Angel’s Wings, the finisher of ROH World Champion Christopher Daniels. The mocking of Daniels is part of a build to Taven challenging for the title on an upcoming show in Dearborn, Michigan.
In the next segment, The Young Bucks strolled to the ring for a promo where they briefly talked about Adam Cole trying to fire them from the Bullet Club. They were still wearing their Superkliq t-shirts, though. Nick and Matt Jackson went on to sarcastically make challenges to tag teams such as Demolition and the likes of the Rock ‘n’ Roll Express, along with Billy & Chuck. They also got a dig in on The Revival.
All of a sudden, Mikey Mondo and Kenny Dykstra interrupted them to make a challenge of their own to the ROH World Tag Team Champions. The team formerly known as The Spirit Squad rushed into the ring to meet a Superkick Party. The Young Bucks laid them out with superkicks to set up a match on a future episode.
Matt Sydal defeated Flip Gordon
This was a babyface match with not just a lot of kicks, but all kinds of kicks. There were leg kicks, kicks to the knee, spinning heel kicks, Pele kicks, and this is beginning to sound like Bubba telling Forrest Gump about all the different kinds of shrimp.
Anyway, they had a good match enough for what it was. Sydal makes it look so easy. Gordon got to shine some, yet the focus was on Sydal. He went for a shooting star press, but Gordon countered with a springboard kick for a near fall in the closing moments. For the finish, Gordon charged towards Sydal only to eat a kick. Sydal then climbed up top to execute a shooting star press for the pinfall.
Afterwards, ROH World TV Champion Marty Scurll tried for a sneak attack on Sydal. Scurll tried to apply a chicken wing, but Sydal escaped to land a kick. Scurll took a powder as the build continues to the two in a TV title match at War of the Worlds.
Ian Riccaboni was supposed to interview Adam Cole. Instead, Cole dismissed Riccaboni to begin “story time with Adam Cole bay-bay.” Cole went on to deny that he tried to fire The Young Bucks as members of Bullet Club. Cole thinks the group is stronger than ever now. In trying to prove his point, Cole said he and Cody will face Dalton Castle and Christopher Daniels in a tag match next week.
A video package highlighted the start of a program between Daniels and Cody. Daniels then joined the announcers to provide guest commentary for the main event.
Jay Lethal won a four corner survival match to earn an ROH World title shot
Besides Lethal, the other three participants were Silas Young, Adam Page, and Jay White. Lethal pinned Young to win. With all four in the ring with tornado rules, it began with a melee. The match continued as such before eventually settling down in spots only for the action to pick up again.
In the continuing effort to elevate Young, he looked strong even if he dropped the deciding fall. Lethal was the person that looked the strongest by the end, with him pinning Young after a Lethal Combination at the finish. That set up him being added to a three-way match for the World title at the next PPV.
After the match, Cody appeared and glared at Lethal while Cody wore a Daniels T-shirt. The champion, Daniels, appeared on stage to hold the belt up and pose in spite of Cody and Lethal. All three had a staredown as the show closed.
