WWE Raw video highlights: Raw after WrestleMania

WrestleMania week officially concluded as the Raw after WrestleMania 38 took place in Dallas last night.

Following his return at WrestleMania, Cody Rhodes kicked off last night’s Raw with his first promo back in WWE. Cody said his dream since he was eight years old was to win the WWE Championship for his father. Cody said he thought that dream died with Dusty Rhodes. But even though Dusty may not physically be here anymore, it’s still a dream that Cody can accomplish. Cody vowed to do it for the fans, himself, his family, and Dusty.

Seth Rollins came out to the ring following Cody’s promo. They went face-to-face, and Cody offered Rollins a handshake. Rollins accepted the handshake, cackled, and told Cody “welcome home.” The commentators questioned what Rollins’ intentions were.

New Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns made a brief appearance in last night’s main event segment, saying that we’ll find out what’s next for him on SmackDown.

After coming up short at NXT Stand & Deliver, Bron Breakker regained the NXT Championship last night by defeating Dolph Ziggler.

Plus, new Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair celebrated her title win, Elias returned to Raw as “Ezekiel,” Veer Mahaan arrived, and MVP turned against Bobby Lashley.

Goldberg discusses his WWE future after Raw

Though he didn’t appear on the Raw after WrestleMania, Goldberg discussed his future after the show went off the air.

Goldberg made his way out in front of the Amway Center crowd for a promo to open the Raw post-show on the WWE Network. When it was over, he left the door open for a return while also saying that it could be the last time we see him in a wrestling ring.

During the segment, Goldberg said that this wasn’t part of the show and reflected on coming back last October. He noted that he had to think about his physical limitations, age, and desire when making the decision then. He shut down a few negative chants before turning his attention to his wife and son in the front row and talking about how much they mean to him.

Goldberg said that he’s lived in the gym for the last six months to show his family a glimpse of who he used to be. He mentioned that this could be the last time we see him in a ring, but said he’s willing to do whatever it takes to be him as long as his family appreciates it.

After calling WrestleMania XX a debacle, Goldberg said that he felt his match with Brock Lesnar went well on Sunday night. He said you never know what or who is next, then dropped the microphone before picking it back up and saying to never say never.

Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez discussed the segment on the post-Raw edition of Wrestling Observer Radio. Meltzer noted that the promo pretty much reflected Goldberg’s actual situation. Goldberg’s deal with WWE expired after WrestleMania 33. There are no current plans for him going forward, though everyone involved feels like his return was a big success and Goldberg is open to coming back under the right scenario.

WWE posted video of the end of the promo:
