A-Kid defeated Sam Gradwell (10:45)

They traded holds early with neither man getting a clear advantage. Gradwell then rubbed his knee brace over A-Kid’s face to gain the advantage, He eventually locked in a Boston Crab but A-Kid escaped and turned it into a cover. A-Kid hit a superkick that sent Gradwell to the outside, then followed with a dive and, once they were back in the ring, a crossbody off the top for a near fall.

A-Kid eventually went for the omoplata, but Gradwell powered out and actually hit a huge suplex as a counter move, then threw A-Kid to ringside. He missed a clothesline off the apron though, allowing A-Kid to lock in a sleeper on the outside, which earned him another suplex in return. Gradwell hit a lariat, which earned him another very close near fall.

A-Kid locked in an arm bar, Gradwell actually picked him up and slammed him to the mat, but A-Kid held on and Gradwell finally tapped.

**********

They showed some clips from the Rampage Brown vs. Flash Morgan Webster match and reported that Webster had suffered a shoulder injury and would be out of action for a while

Ilja Dragunov was interviewed backstage and was told the match with Rampage Brown was now official. He said he did not run from pain but embraced it and also that myths and legends weren’t written about giants but the heroes who made them fall. The match airs in two weeks

**********

Aleah James defeated Nina Samuels (04:51)

James trapped Samuels in a wrist lock early on and wouldn’t let go. She escaped a counter attempt, then hit a hurricanrana from the apron to the inside of the ring. Samuels took back over with some kicks and a backbreaker. James came back with a series of dropkicks and a crossbody for a near-fall. Samuels made a brief comeback, but James turned a tilt-a-whirl-slam attempt into  a small package for the pin and the win.

**********

Sam Gradwell sat backstage when Sha Samuels and Noam Dar loudly celebrated Dar’s win of the NXT Heritage Cup a few weeks ago. They briefly got into it, but Gradwell seemed more confused than aggravated.

Aleah James was happy about her win backstage and talked about wanting to keep her momentum going. She went into a room and was attacked by Isla Dawn, who stole her hairband. Still scarier than Alexa Bliss and her doll.

**********

Kenny Williams defeated Saxon Huxley (05:54)

Williams attacked Huxley early, but the huge Brit ran wild on him just seconds later. He threw him around and ragdolled him, slamming him into the mat repeatedly, then nonchalantly threw him to ringside.

Williams came back by jumping up and down on Huxley’s back and spearing his leg. Williams locked in a standing surfboard and further attacked Huxley’s leg. Huxley came back with a slam into the corner, a running big boot and more corner attacks, then threw Williams halfway across the ring.

Huxley hit a running crossbody into the ropes that threw Williams to the outside. As Huxley went to follow up, Williams rammed him into the ring post, then followed up with Bad Luck in the ring to pick up the pinfall victory.

**********

Xia Brookside came to the UK Performance Center and talked about how she would see Sid Scala real soon. A woman walked up to her and said she was already 15 minutes late to training. Brookside said she didn’t have to train with the other wrestlers and had some one on one training sessions, which the woman might not know about. She handed her a note and skipped off.

Mark Andrews talked about his match with Nathan Frazer from last week and put him over. Jordan Devlin walked up and said Andrews made rookie mistakes, talking about another performer during his 30 seconds on camera. He told him to drop the nice guy act and take some notes. A graphic then plugged a match with them for next week.

**********

Teoman & Rohan Raja defeated Gallus (Mark Coffey & Wolfgang) (w/Joe Coffey) (09:31)

Wolfgang and Raja started and Raja immediately got beat up. Coffey was in next and kept the attacks going. Teoman got tagged in, but suffered the same fate.He eventually got the upper hand and Mark Coffey got worked over by the heels, who quickly tagged in and out. Coffey finally managed to dispose of both opponents and made the hot tag to Wolfgang, who ran wild for a bit. He hit a splash from the turnbuckles to the back of Raja for a near fall.

Teoman averted a top-rope axe handle, then smashed Wolfgang’s head into the turnbuckles before Raja and Teoman double-teamed him some more. Wolfgang evaded a handspring back elbow by Teoman, hit a double clothesline and tagged in Coffey, who hit a huge slam on Teoman for a close two count. Teoman and Wolfgang bonked into each other and both men were down, as the referee sent Coffey to his corner.

Suddenly Charlie Dempsey ran out and attacked Joe Coffey at ringside, slamming him into the stairs. Mark Coffey looked to get involved, but was rammed into the dasher boards by Raja. Back in the ring, Teoman hit the Evil Eye on Wolfgang, followed by a jumping STO by Raja for the pin.

Final Thoughts —

  • A-Kid vs. Gradwell was a good match that picked up steam with a sequence for close near falls by the end.
  • The women’s match was more a backdrop for an angle with Isla Dawn it seemed, who looks to be collecting items from women all over the roster.
  • Williams and Huxley was fun whenever Huxley was in charge. He is criminally underused as the big, Brody-like wild man who also is super agile.
  • The tag team main event was decent, with Charlie Dempsey’s interference adding a lot of intrigue for the future. Dempsey is incredibly crisp and great for his level of experience and even him running in and attacking Coffey looked tremendous.

Next week —

  • Mark Andrews vs. Jordan Devlin

In two weeks: —

  • NXT UK Championship: Ilja Dragunov (c) vs. Rampage Brown

WWE sets date for Dragunov vs. Brown NXT UK title match

Ilja Dragunov’s next NXT United Kingdom Championship defense is now official.

Dragunov will put his NXT United Kingdom Championship on the line against Rampage Brown on the NXT UK episode that airs two weeks from now (Thursday, December 2). The title defense will be Dragunov’s second since becoming NXT United Kingdom Champion.

At NXT TakeOver 36 this August, Dragunov won the NXT United Kingdom title by defeating WALTER in an instant classic match. Dragunov’s first title defense took place on NXT UK last month, with him retaining against A-Kid.

A-Kid got that title shot by defeating Joe Coffey and Brown in a triple threat match.

Dragunov cut a promo on NXT UK two weeks ago thanking A-Kid for their match. Dragunov said he needs next-level competitors and is looking forward to his next title defense. Brown, who had defeated Flash Morgan Webster earlier in the night, then interrupted Dragunov.

Brown told Dragunov that they have some unfinished business, and he’d love to be the next man to face Dragunov for the NXT UK title. Dragunov accepted the challenge and offered Brown a handshake. Brown went to shake Dragunov’s hand but then dropped him with a lariat. Brown said he doesn’t need Dragunov’s respect — all he needs is the NXT UK title.

An interview with Dragunov aired on today’s NXT UK episode. Dragunov said Brown is a monster and most people should be afraid of him, but Dragunov isn’t most people. Dragunov said legends and myths weren’t written about giants, they were written about the courageous heroes who made them fall.

NXT UK results: Tag title number one contender’s four-way match

This week’s NXT UK saw new no. 1 contenders for the NXT UK Tag Team titles crowned in a four-way match.

Mark Andrews defeated Nathan Frazer (10:22)

They traded wristlocks and escapes with the more experienced Andrews getting the upper hand early on. Andrews kept outsmarting Frazer, who started to become frustrated. Andrews hit a nice Northern Lights suplex for a near fall. Frazer came back, hit a sling blade, turned a bodyslam into a diving elbow drop and got a near fall off a shooting star press.

Frazer evaded an aerial attack, but got caught with an X-Factor-esque faceplant off an attempted backflip when Andrews caught his foot. He then lawn darted Andrews into the corner. Frazer threw Andrews to ringside, but slipped on the top rope as he attempted a move to the outside. Andrews took advantage, pulled his legs out and hit a moonsault off the ring steps.

Back in the ring, Frazer caught Andrews mid-move off a springboard and hit an amazing-looking spanish fly. They traded more offense and Andrews hit the Stun Dog Millionaire but missed a shooting star press off the top. Frazer went to roll him up with a La Magistral cradle, but Andrews caught him mid-move and turned it into a successful pin for himself.

— There was a recap of Rampage Brown both answering Ilja Dragunov’s challenge and attacking him last week.

— Sam Gradwell walked in and was confronted by A-Kid. A-Kid called him out about trash talking both he and his country last week and said if he wanted to talk to him, do it in his language. Gradwell condescendingly asked “Spanish?” A-Kid retorted “fighting” and called Gradwell a “yogurt.” Gradwell said it was only funny when he did it.

— NXT UK Tag Team Champions Pretty Deadly were at a rehearsal for the “Magic Mike Live!” performance at the Hippodrome Casino in London. The choreographer instructed them to be a part of the performance which they showed clips of. He was impressed, saying they understood what to do within 30 minutes, performed far better than he expected and fit right in with the rest of the crew. In my opinion, Pretty Deadly are a great act that most wrestling fans probably never heard about.

— Kenny Williams was scribbling something about Sha Samuels on a wall when there was some noise nearby, caused by Saxon Huxley doing Saxon Huxley things. Williams berated him and then ran away while Huxley screamed “Kenny Cockroach” over and over.

Dani Luna defeated Stevie Turner (05:09)

Turner evaded Luna early on. Turner wanted a test of strength and then stepped on Luna’s toes, but quickly was overpowered. Luna hit a suplex, but got her hair pulled when she went for another one. Turner hit a Thesz press, but Luna was back in control right away. Turner threw Luna’s head into the ropes and hit three hanging neckbreakers Three Amigos-style.

Luna came back with clotheslines, a powerslam, a fallaway slam and a spear in the corner. Turner briefly came back, but got hit with a kick to the face. Luna then hit the fireman’s carry into a sit-down powerbomb for the pin and the win.

— Nina Samuels was on her “show” backstage, trying to interview Isla Dawn who ignored her and did some Isla Dawn things. Samuels then talked trash about Aleah James, who just happened to walk by and hear this. She asked Samuels if she had a problem and said she was going to Sid Scala to get a match between them scheduled. Samuels looked unhappy, but sold the whole thing as an “exclusive.”

— There was a cinematic segment with Gallus in a car, talking about Teoman and Rohan Raja. They said they were a family and a business and would remind the world that it was the Gallus boys on top. A police car appeared and Joe Coffey told Mark Coffey to “put his boot down.” I guess Gallus are also a crime syndicate now.

— Subculture were celebrating backstage when Blair Davenport came into view and started talking trash, telling them to stay at the bottom, because by rising to the top, they would have to face her. Subculture were not all that impressed.

Moustache Mountain (Tyler Bate & Trent Seven) beat Symbiosis (T-Bone & Primate); Ashton Smith & Oliver Carter; and Dave Mastiff & Jack Starz in a four-way NXT UK Tag Team title no. 1 contenders match (14:02)

Seven and Starz started with Starz managing to get Seven off his feet, followed by working over his leg. He tagged in Mastiff, who overpowered Seven briefly. Oliver Carter tagged Mastiff, quickly followed by Smith, who in turn catapulted Carter into Seven after another tag. Primate tagged Seven, but also got worked over by Smith and Carter. Starz and Mastiff kept up the deal with Mastiff flattening Primate with a senton.

Starz ran wild on Primate, sent him to ringside and dropkicked a number of members of each team for good measure, which included Eddie Dennis. It boiled down to Starz vs. Bate, but Dennis pulled Starz’s leg out. This upset Bate and the referee, who expelled the former headmaster. T-Bone used the distraction to double clothesline Starz and Bate followed by picking up Mastiff for a fallaway slam. Symbiosis manhandled Starz, including scoring a close near fall.

Eventually, T-Bone found himself against Smith and Carter, who used some innovative teamwork to cut the larger man down. Seven was in next and fell victim to a Smith-assisted moonsault by Carter. Bate was in next with Smith when Primate blind tagged Smith, who just punched him and sent him to ringside. Everyone brawled outside with Seven, Smith and T-Bone ending up on the top rope. T-Bone threw Seven on top of everyone and hit a superplex on Smith, followed by Primate diving on everyone on the outside once more.

Primate hit a springboard crossbody on Bate who rolled through and picked him up for a airplane spin. Starz got involved, so he found himself in a giant swing in addition to the airplane spin already going on. Mastiff got involved and spoiled the fun though. Chaos broke out which included Starz powerbombing Seven and Smith getting Mastiff on his shoulders for some Doomsday action, the resulting pin of which was broken up by a top-rope headbutt by Primate.

He missed a second one and was wiped out by a rope-assisted Bate lariat, followed by the Seven Star Lariat from Seven, which scored Moustache Mountain another near fall.

Bate had wiped everyone at ringside out with a dive before returning to the top rope for a knee drop into a Birminghamer by Seven. Bate then picked up the pin and the win, making Moustache Mountain the new no. 1 contenders to Pretty Deadly’s tag team gold. The champions came out after the match and applauded Moustache Mountain.

Final Thoughts:

The opener was excellent and quick-paced with two of the best high-flyers in WWE right now. The spanish gly Frazer hit off a springboard attempt by Andrews was a thing for highlight reels. The women’s match was fine, but Turner showed some good fire.

The main event four-way tag was totally wild and crazy with a lot going on and everyone working really hard. It was a spotfest at times, but told a good story and the crowd ate it up.

Next week:

  • A-Kid vs. Sam Gradwell
  • Gallus (Mark Coffey and Wolfgang) vs. Teoman & Rohan Raja

Moustache Mountain to challenge for NXT UK Tag Team titles

Image: WWE

Moustache Mountain are next in line for a shot at Pretty Deadly’s NXT UK Tag Team titles.

In the main event of this week’s NXT UK episode, Moustache Mountain (Tyler Bate & Trent Seven) became the number one contenders to the NXT UK Tag Team titles by winning a fatal four-way match. They defeated Symbiosis (Primate & T-Bone), Oliver Carter & Ashton Smith, and Dave Mastiff & Jack Starz.

Moustache Mountain won with a double-team move where Bate jumped off the top rope and assisted Seven in hitting the Birminghammer on Primate.

Pretty Deadly (Sam Stoker & Lewis Howley) came out to the stage, posed with their titles, and exchanged words with Moustache Mountain after the match.

Two weeks ago, Bate lost the NXT UK Heritage Cup Championship to Noam Dar after Pretty Deadly got involved. Seven accidentally threw in the towel after Pretty Deadly took it from him and he was fighting with them to get it back.

Pretty Deadly won the NXT UK Tag Team titles from Gallus’ Mark Coffey & Wolfgang this February. They retained against Moustache Mountain on an episode of NXT UK in August.

Moustache Mountain have never held the NXT UK Tag Team titles. WWE hasn’t announced when they’ll be getting their title shot against Pretty Deadly.

Moustache Mountain set for NXT UK number one contender’s match

WWE has announced an update to next week’s NXT UK tag team number one contender’s match.

Moustache Mountain (Tyler Bate & Trent Seven) have been added to next Thursday’s Tag Team title number one contender’s match on NXT UK, making it a fatal four-way. Bate & Seven, Symbiosis (Primate & T-Bone), Oliver Carter & Ashton Smith, and Dave Mastiff & Jack Starz will face off to determine the next challengers for Pretty Deadly’s NXT UK Tag Team titles.

The match was originally announced as a triple threat, but Moustache Mountain were added after Pretty Deadly (Sam Stoker & Lewis Howley) helped cost Bate the NXT UK Heritage Cup Championship. Bate lost the Heritage Cup title to Noam Dar last week when Seven accidentally threw in the towel as he was trying to get it back from Howley.

Seven apologized to Bate on this week’s NXT UK and informed him that general manager Johnny Saint is letting them take part in next week’s number one contender’s match.

Moustache Mountain have never held the NXT UK Tag Team titles.

Pretty Deadly won the NXT UK Tag Team titles from Gallus’ Mark Coffey & Wolfgang this February. They retained against Moustache Mountain in August after a distraction where Howley threw in the towel and tried to make the referee think Seven did it. Howley hit Bate with a title belt as Seven was talking to the ref.

NXT UK results: Tyler Bate vs. Noam Dar Heritage Cup match

Report —

Mark Coffey (w/Wolfgang) defeated Rohan Raja (w/Teoman) (05:54)

Coffey started strong but quickly got trapped in the ropes and had his arm worked over. Coffey eventually came back with a lariat and slam, but sold the damage his arm had taken.

Coffey eventually scored the pin after a diving, running uppercut.

After the match, Teoman and Raja attacked Gallus until officials ran in to break up the brawl.

**********

Tyler Bate warmed up with Trent Seven backstage.

A video looked at the mayhem after last week’s tag team match between Symbiosis and Dave Mastiff/Jack Starz. In two weeks, there will be a triple threat match between Symbiosis, Mastiff/Starz and Ashton Smith & Oliver Carter.

Charlie Dempsey was interviewed backstage about his match with Danny Jones later tonight. Just as he was talking about how their styles would mesh, Gallus stormed in and Wolfgang asked Dempsey if he had seen Teoman and to tell him they were looking for him. Dempsey was frustrated and said this had been the second time now that this (Gallus interrupting him) had happened.

**********

Amale defeated Myla Grace (03:49)

Myla Grace made her NXT UK debut here. Grace has been around since at least 2018 and had matches all over the UK and Ireland, including OTT.  She also has a street-dancing background.

Amale started out very aggressively and beat down on Grace, who briefly came back with a rollup but got taken out by double knees as she stormed the corner. Amale hit a spinning neckbreaker, but Myla kicked out at one. At that point, Blair Davenport wandered out from the back and started watching the match.

Myla hit some spinning head scissors, a 619 and a tornado DDT for a two count. Amale then nonchalantly kicked her in the face and hit the Hopebreaker (a fisherman spinebuster) for the pin and the win. Davenport looked on bemused, then walked off again.

**********

Noam Dar warmed up backstage.

Aleah James was interviewed about her win over Xia Brookside from last week. Nina Samuels walked up and welcomed us to another edition of the Nina Samuels Show. She then said James did not “measure up” to her (as she looked about one foot shorter than Samuels). James asked if there was a problem, then walked off, saying she wasn’t doing this right now

Flash Morgan Webster was in front of a door. Dani Luna asked if he was sure about this. He opened the door and it was Rampage Brown’s dressing room. He told Webster not to try it (Webster is running around, slapping people lately) and Webster turned away but then tried anyway. Brown blocked him, grabbed him by the throat and pushed him against the wall. He told Webster if he wanted a match, all he had to do was ask. Webster then was happy because he “got him.”

**********

Charlie Dempsey defeated Danny Jones (04:52)

Dempsey started by schooling Jones with takedowns, suplexes and submission holds. Jones hit a high hip toss and a number of strikes and attempted to lock in a sleeper of his own. Dempsey tried to work his way into a double wristlock, then bridged into the corner, pulling Jones’ head into it and kept on with impressive mat wrestling.

He locked in a standing cravate, then hit a suplex from the hold. Dempsey then hit two consecutive butterfly suplexes, never releasing Jones from his grip and rolled backward on top of him from the bridge both times. He then locked in a sort of double wristlock crossface for the submission victory.

**********

They then aired a great video hyping up the Meiko Satomura vs, Jinny for the NXT UK Women’s title match for next week. match. Jinny said Meiko was getting old, frail and weak. Satomura said she was prepared and while Jinny was the queen, she was the final boss.

Isla Dawn did some more scary stuff in the woods with her box and said some weird stuff, all while painting around her face with lipstick. Okay then. Still scarier than Alexa Bliss and her doll.

NXT UK Heritage Cup: Noam Dar (w/Sha Samuels) defeated Tyler Bate (w/Trent Seven) 1-1 in Round 6  to win the Cup (17:34)

They had a tale of the tape graphic. No intangibles in NXT UK, but accolades.

Round 1

They went back and forth in the round, feeling each other out. Dar tried provoking Bate as the round ended but he would have none of it.

Round 2

Bate worked over Dar’s legs early until Dar fled to the ropes. The pace picked up and Bate eventually hit the airplane spin, but Dar escaped. They hit a double clothesline with 15 seconds left, then were entangled in a lockup until time ran out.

Round 3

Bate threw Dar to ringside, but Dar got back in as Bate went for a dive. He then hit a kick on Bate through the ropes and sent him into the ring steps. Back inside, he hit the Nova Roller to pick up the first fall at 0:59 of the round. Dar 1-0

Round 4

Dar immediately worked over Bate, using his momentum. Bate came back and hit a spinning European uppercut off the turnbuckles, then hit an exploder suplex and a running shooting star press, but Dar countered for a near fall. Bate hit the slingshot lariat, then went for Tyler Driver ’97 and got the pin at 2:03 of the round. Bate 1-1

Round 5

Bate started with a dragon screw, but Dar hit one off the turnbuckles in return, then hit a running uppercut for a close near fall. Dar kept targeting the left leg with kicks. Seven advised Bate to use the Birminghammer, but Dar raked the eyes and hit a spinning back elbow for another close near fall. Bate locked in a knee bar with about 20 seconds left, but Dar sat up and they traded punches as the round ended.

Round 6

They traded kicks early, and Dar went to the top, but Bate jumped up and hit a top rope exploder, followed with a dive through the ropes as Dar had rolled outside.

Samuels looked after Dar, but Bate wiped out both men with a plancha. Dar got a roll up off a Tiger Driver ’97 attempt, Dar caught Bate’s leg off a slingshot lariat and went for the Champagne knee bar, but Bate rolled through and hit a Saito suplex-style German. At that point, Pretty Deadly walked out and distracted Bate, allowing Dar to roll him up for a near fall.

Dar again locked in the Champagne knee bar as Seven started brawling with Pretty Deadly on the outside. They took his towel and were attempting to throw it into the ring, with Seven trying to get it back. As Seven finally yanked it away, the momentum led to him accidentally throwing it into the ring himself, which the ref took as a sign that Seven had thrown in the towel for Bate.

Dar thus won the match and the Heritage Cup due to apparent submission at 2:45 of the round.

If Bate had managed another 15 seconds, he would have retained under Heritage Cup rules. Dar wins 2-1.

Pretty Deadly were clapping and celebrating outside the ring as Seven tried to explain to Bate what had happened. Dar and Samuels celebrated the victory in the ring.

Final thoughts —

The main event was excellent with a somewhat anticlimactic finish, but it builds nicely into a Moustache Mountain vs. Pretty Deadly feud and Dar as a heel now can have some great Heritage Cup matches against the likes of Ben Carter, A-Kid, Charlie Dempsey, Mark Andrews or Flash Morgan Webster.

Charlie Dempsey vs. Danny Jones was excellent and with a bit more exposure, I could even see Dempsey ranking in the top 10 for Best Technical Wrestler in the Observer Awards. I’d love to see him on a bigger stage in NXT 2.0 or maybe even in NJPW down the line as a protege of Zack Sabre Jr.

Next week —

  • Meiko Satomura (c) vs. Jinny for the NXT UK Women’s Championship

In two weeks —

Noam Dar defeats Tyler Bate for NXT UK Heritage Cup title

A title change took place in the main event of this week’s NXT UK.

Noam Dar defeated Tyler Bate by two falls to one to become the new NXT UK Heritage Cup Champion. Following A-Kid and Bate, Dar is the third wrestler to hold the Heritage Cup since the title was introduced last year.

Dar scored the first fall in the third round after hitting the Nova Roller, then Bate evened things up in the fourth by hitting the Tyler Driver ’97. The finish of the match then saw Dar get the win when Bate’s tag team partner Trent Seven accidentally threw in the towel in the sixth round.

Bate and Seven were distracted when NXT UK Tag Team Champions Pretty Deadly came out to ringside during the final round of the match. Pretty Deadly grabbed Seven’s towel and tried to throw it into the ring as Dar had Bate in a kneebar. As Seven fought with them to get it back, he accidentally threw the towel into the ring.

After the match, Dar and Sha Samuels celebrated with the Heritage Cup trophy as Seven explained what happened to a visibly disappointed Bate.

Dar got his title shot against Bate by winning NXT UK’s Heritage Cup number one contender’s tournament. He defeated Mark Andrews in the first round, Kenny Williams in the semifinals, and Wolfgang in the finals.

In 2018, Bate & Seven lost the NXT Tag Team titles to Kyle O’Reilly & Roderick Strong when Bate had to throw in the towel for Seven.

Pretty Deadly retained their NXT UK Tag Team titles against Bate & Seven this August after a distraction where Lewis Howley threw in the towel and tried to make the referee think Seven did it. Howley hit Bate with a title belt as Seven was talking to the ref.

Report —

Aleah James defeated Xia Brookside (04:15)

James cut a split-screen promo on her way to the ring where she was working out backstage.

They shook hands as the match started and Aleah showed some athletic prowess to counter some wrist locks. Aleah locked in head scissors which took Xia some effort to escape from.

After some back and forth, Brookside hit the double knees to the back of Aleah’s head, then put her on the top rope. Aleah kicked her off and hit a sunset flip off the turnbuckles for the surprise win.

Aleah was both happy and surprised, then offered her hand to Xia, who angrily slapped it away and then took out her frustration on the ring steps.

**********

Meiko Satomura was working out with Emilia McKenzie. She was asked about her upcoming match with Jinny and said it was good timing for a title match.

Kenny Williams walked through the night. He said he never claimed he was unbeatable. He said people would be surprised about what he had planned next and would see how low the scum of the earth can go.

**********

Dave Mastiff & Jack Starz defeated Symbiosis (Primate & T-Bone) (w/Eddie Dennis) by DQ (08:19)

Pretty Deadly were on commentary for this match.

Starz and T-Bone started, and Starz outwrestled and outran his bigger opponent, but eventually got overpowered.

Primate was in next, but quickly got thrown from the ring. Mastiff tagged in, hot a senton, then tagged Starz who hit a slingshot splash.

Starz eventually got overpowered and was attacked at ringside as the referee was distracted. T-Bone hit a huge sit-down powerbomb for a near fall. Later, T-Bone hit a vertical suplex on Starz and walked around the ring with him.

Starz eventually outsmarted Symbiosis and tagged in Mastiff, who ran wild on T-Bone. He hit a rolling fireman’s carry, German suplex and Into the Void. As he was about to finish T-Bone, Eddie Dennis attacked Starz with a steel chair on the outside for the DQ.

Symbiosis attacked Mastiff and Starz further, until Oliver Carter & Ashton Smith made the save.

**********

A video on Amale aired. She talked about how a loss like she had recently may never happen again. She will be in action next week.

Charlie Dempsey was interviewed at the NXT UK Performance Center. He talked about wanting to build a legacy. Mark Coffey and Wolfgang interrupted and told him not to get in their way with his legacy, but encouraged him to build one. Dempsey then said he wanted to get back to training. A commotion broke out and Galleu got into it with Teoman and Rohan Raja as Dempsey looked on and officials separated the four men.

Supernova Sessions with Tyler Bate

The show took place in the ring, as there were some fans back at the studio

Bate came out with Trent Seven, who Dar said wasn’t invited. He kept insulting Seven, saying he rode Tyler’s coat tails. Dar gave Bate the opportunity to relinquish the Heritage Cup before their match next week, which Bate teased, but of course didn’t do. Bate said every time they fought, the outcome was the same and Bate beat Dar.

Dar then shoved Tyler and ran from the ring, Bate wanted to go after him, but Seven held him back.

**********

Jordan Devlin was working out backstage with his headphones on. Gallus snuck into the room and stole his ring jacket.

Jordan Devlin defeated Joe Coffey (14:08)

Coffey came out wearing Devlin’s ring jacket. Devlin flew in and attacked him from behind before the bell even rung. They brawled back and forth around ringside. Devlin rolled Coffey into the ring, took out his leg and hit a twisting slingshot senton. The referee finally started the match.

Coffey took back over and hit two side slams. He had Devlin in an arm bar for a long time with Devlin not being able to escape. Eventually he did and rammed Coffey into the ring post. Devlin dominated, including hitting a hard knee into Coffey’s gut. Devlin locked in an abdominal stretch to further work over Coffey’s ribs.

Eventually Coffey got out, but quickly found himself in some body scissors. Devlin came off the top, but Coffey hit him with a forearm in mid-air.

Coffey hit a flying shoulder block for a near-fall, then hit a power slam for another one. Devlin came back with the uranage/standing moonsault combo. Coffey powered up and hit the double-jump reverse crossbody for another two-count, but fell victim to a slingshot twisting cutter seconds later.

Coffey was at ringside and got hit with a soccer kick to the sternum, followed by a beautiful Asai moonsault to the outside. Devlin went to the top rope once more, but Coffey jumped up and hit an overhead belly-to-belly superplex.

Coffey hit a few strikes, which sent Devlin to the mat for another near fall. He followed with the Glasgow Sendoff, but Devlin head-butted him as he went for All the Best for the Bells.

Devlin followed with a 450 off the top for a very, very close near fall. He then hit Devlin Side for the pinfall victory.

Heritage Cup title match set for next week’s NXT UK

Noam Dar is getting his shot at NXT UK’s Heritage Cup Championship next week.

WWE has announced that Heritage Cup Champion Tyler Bate will defend his title against Dar on next Thursday’s episode of NXT UK. Dar won a Heritage Cup Championship number one contender’s tournament earlier this month to get the title shot.

Dar defeated Wolfgang in the finals of the number one contender’s tournament. In the first two rounds, he defeated Mark Andrews and Kenny Williams.

Ahead of their title match, Bate appeared on Dar’s Supernova Sessions talk show on today’s NXT UK episode. The segment ended with Dar punching Bate, then Dar’s tag team partner Sha Samuels getting Dar out of the ring before a brawl could break out. Bate was also held back by his tag team partner Trent Seven.

Bate won the Heritage Cup title from inaugural champion A-Kid this May. He’s made two title defenses since becoming champion, defeating Jack Starz and Mark Coffey.

Next week’s NXT UK will also feature Mark Coffey vs. Rohan Raja, along with Amale being in action.

Blair Davenport defeated Stevie Turner (04:42)

Davenport attacked Turner right away. Turner came right back and floored Davenport with a running kick. Davenport hit a running dropkick and scored a near fall. Turner hit three rolling neckbreakers for a two count of her own. Turner hit a mass effect for another close fall, before falling victim to an enzuigiri.

Davenport then followed with a knee strike to the face and the Falcon Arrow for the pinfall victory.
