NWA Hard Times announced for November 12 in New Orleans

The location for the NWA’s next pay-per-view has been announced.

NWA will hold Hard Times on November 12 at the Frederick J. Sigur Civic Center in Chalmette, Louisiana, which is in the New Orleans area. The promotion will be partnering with WildKat Spots, which NWA regular Luke Hawx operates.

Additionally, the NWA will hold television tapings the day after Hard Times on November 13.

This will be the third Hard Times event, with the first being held in 2020 and the second in December of 2021. At last year’s event, Trevor Murdoch defeated Mike Knox to retain the NWA World Heavyweight Championship.

NWA is running two shows this weekend at the Chase’s Khorassan Ballroom. Saturday saw Kamille retain the NWA Women’s Championship against Taya Valkyrie in the main event. New champions were also crowned, with La Rebellion winning the vacant NWA World Tag Team titles and Cyon winning the National Heavyweight Championship.

The Sunday show will have Trevor Murdoch defend the NWA World Heavyweight title against Tyrus.

Scurll to appear at NWA Hard Times PPV, three title matches added

Marty Scurll will be playing a part in the NWA’s Hard Times pay-per-view this Friday.

After NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion Nick Aldis retained his title against Ricky Morton in the main event of tonight’s episode of NWA Power, it was announced that Scurll will be appearing at Hard Times. Aldis is facing Scurll’s Villain Enterprises stablemate Flip Gordon in a non-title match at the PPV.

Last month’s Into the Fire PPV ended with Scurll making a surprise appearance and confronting Aldis. Aldis and Strictly Business’ feud with Scurll and Villain Enterprises then continued at ROH’s Saturday Night at Center Stage and Honor Reigns Supreme shows earlier this month.

The NWA has also added three title matches to the card for Hard Times and announced the final participants for their TV title tournament.

NWA Women’s Champion Allysin Kay will defend her title against Thunder Rosa, NWA Tag Team Champions The Rock ‘n’ Roll Express will defend their titles against The Wild Cards and James Storm & Eli Drake in a triple threat match, and NWA National Champion Aron Stevens will defend his title against Scott Steiner.

Matt Cross and ROH’s Dan Maff have been confirmed for the last two spots in the TV title tournament. Cross will face Ricky Starks in the first round, while Maff will face Zicky Dice.

Hard Times is taking place at GPB Studios in Atlanta, Georgia on Friday and will be available via Fite TV. GPB Studios will also host NWA Power tapings on Saturday and Sunday.
