Milwaukee putting together bid for WWE Money in the Bank 2025

The city of Milwaukee is making a bid to host WWE Money in the Bank next year.

Milwaukee Business Journal published a story on Tuesday revealing that tourism group Sports Milwaukee is putting together a bid for WWE Money in the Bank 2025. If the city is successful in their attempt, the PLE would be held at Fiserv Forum (the home of the NBA’s Milwaukee Bucks).

It was reported earlier this year that Milwaukee is hoping to host a future WWE Royal Rumble event. Sports Milwaukee Director Marissa Werner believes that bringing Money in the Bank to the city could help Milwaukee be chosen for a bigger WWE show in the future.

“The hope is this would open the door for a SummerSlam or Royal Rumble,” Werner told Milwaukee Business Journal.

Fastlane 2017 was the most recent WWE PPV/PLE to take place from Milwaukee. Later this fall, Fiserv Forum will play host to the Friday, November 15 episode of WWE SmackDown.

Money in the Bank was held in Toronto, Canada this July and London, England in July 2023.

Milwaukee hoping to host future WWE Royal Rumble event

Milwaukee is hoping to bring a future WWE Royal Rumble event to the city.

CBS 58 reported this week that Milwaukee leaders have been in talks with WWE and are pitching them about bringing a future Royal Rumble to American Family Field, the home of Major League Baseball’s Milwaukee Brewers.

The earliest that the Royal Rumble could take place in Milwaukee is 2026, when scheduled renovations that would allow American Family Field to be used in the winter would be completed. The Royal Rumble is held in late January every year.

American Family Field has a retractable roof. The winterization project will allow the venue to maintain a 70-degree temperature year-round.

“A source, who asked not to be identified because they did not want to share too much about the conversations, said city and state representatives met with WWE officials in Philadelphia last weekend during the company’s biggest annual event, WrestleMania,” the report said. “While WrestleMania is probably out of Milwaukee’s reach, city and state officials hoped to attract WWE’s next-biggest draw on the calendar.”

The most recent WWE PPV/PLE to be held in Milwaukee was Fastlane 2017.

Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida hosted this year’s Royal Rumble.

AEW relocating April 1 and April 8 Dynamite episodes

AEW has relocated two of their upcoming Dynamite episodes due to the corona virus outbreak.

In a social media post, the company released rescheduled dates and information for their upcoming shows in Milwaukee and St. Louis.

The St. Louis show, which was scheduled to take place on April 8, will now be held on October 7 at the Chaifetz Arena. The Milwaukee show, which was scheduled for April 1, will now be held on October 28 at the UWM Panther Arena.

AEW wrote that the April 1 and April 8 episodes of Dynamite will still air live on TNT, but will be relocated. It is currently unknown where the shows will be held.

Fans who have bought tickets for these shows will be offered a refund at the point of purchase, or can have their current ticket honored at the rescheduled dates. Additional details will be released in the future.

The next episode of Dynamite is currently scheduled to take place in Jacksonville, Florida at the Daily’s Place and will be managed under a restricted attendance policy.
