Mat Men: A bloody good time to be a wrestling fan

Today on Mat Men, Andrew and Rich break down Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite and NXT and which was the better show.

AEW had a hell of a show (that Thunder Rosa vs. Britt Baker main event!) while NXT gutted through due to the depleted roster because of the latest COVID-19 outbreak. Will this impact NXT TakeOver and if so, how?

A few other topics:

  • WrestleMania tickets go on sale Friday, but why was it delayed? We have all the latest news.
  • UFC will be running a live show with full capacity in Jacksonville in late-April, but will pro wrestling follow and when?
  • The WWE Network to Peacock migration effort started Thursday, but there are already many issues including a convoluted signup process.

We talk about all that, the latest news and rumors, and your viewer questions on this Thursday episode of Mat Men, also available on YouTube.

Mat Men Podcast: Is Andrade leaving WWE?

On this week’s Mat MenAndrew and Rich are back with all your latest pro wrestling news, rumors, and results.

  • Is Andrade leaving WWE? It was reported that he has asked for a release, but is WWE willing to lose him and what does this mean for his fiance Charlotte Flair?
  • WWE is putting tickets on sale for WrestleMania Tuesday and they are expected to open up (at least) 45,000 seats for both nights. Can WWE sell those out and are fans willing to go this year?
  • On last week’s Dynamite, AEW continued telling the story of what happened at Revolution, leaving the possibility of Kenny Omega and Christian Cage starting a program in the coming weeks.
  • Impact had a PPV Saturday that saw Rich Swann become the first-ever unified Impact World Champion after defeating Moose. He will now face Omega in a Title for a Title match on April 24th.
  • NXT TakeOver will be two nights during Wrestlemania week and last Wednesday’s show started what should be a great build-up with Finn Balor vs. Karrion Kross headlining.
