Sami Zayn vs. Jimmy Uso announced for WWE Raw

Sami Zayn is set to go one-on-one with another member of The Bloodline.

WWE has announced that Zayn vs. Jimmy Uso will take place on Raw this Monday. The match was made official after Zayn issued a challenge to Jimmy on The SmackDown LowDown.

On SmackDown last night, interference by Jimmy led to Solo Sikoa defeating Zayn in the main event. But Zayn was able to fight off Jimmy and Sikoa when they tried to beat him down after the match.

Roman Reigns warned Jimmy last night that Jey Uso has one week to come back to The Bloodline. If Jey doesn’t, Reigns will blame Jimmy for it. Reigns told Jimmy that Jey will come back if Jimmy takes care of their Sami Zayn problem.

Reigns was later shown looking on in disappointment as Jimmy failed to take out Zayn.

Monday’s Raw is being held at the TD Garden in Boston, which is the same arena where Zayn & The Bloodline defeated Kevin Owens, Drew McIntyre & The Brawling Brutes in WarGames last November.

Owens is facing Sikoa on Monday’s Raw. The updated card for the show is listed below:

  • John Cena returns
  • Seth Rollins and Logan Paul go face-to-face
  • Sami Zayn vs. Jimmy Uso
  • Kevin Owens vs. Solo Sikoa
  • Non-title match: Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair vs. Carmella
  • Finn Balor vs. Johnny Gargano

WWE SmackDown video highlights: Conflicted Jey Uso

Jey Uso remains conflicted in the war between The Bloodline and Sami Zayn.

Under orders from Roman Reigns to handle the Jey Uso situation, Jimmy Uso appeared during the main event segment of last night’s SmackDown and wanted to talk to Jey. But Sami Zayn showed up instead and tried to convince Jimmy that he doesn’t have to go down with The Bloodline’s ship.

Jey entered through the crowd as Zayn was talking to Jimmy. When Zayn turned his attention to Jey, Jimmy took the opportunity to give Zayn a cheap shot. Jimmy started to beat down Zayn and wanted Jey to come in the ring, but Jey stayed in the crowd. Jey’s indecision led to Zayn recovering and laying out Jimmy with a Helluva Kick.

Zayn bailed when Solo Sikoa ran out to provide backup for Jimmy. Jey watched on from the crowd without helping either The Bloodline or Zayn.

Paul Heyman had told Jimmy last night to handle the situation with Jey alone. Heyman warned Jimmy that if he didn’t — Reigns would handle the situation next week.

Jimmy Uso ready for Ava Raine to ‘pop off and represent The Bloodline’

Jimmy Uso was impressed with Ava Raine’s WWE NXT debut.

Real-name Simone Johnson, the daughter of The Rock was revealed as the newest member of The Schism on Tuesday. Jimmy Uso spoke to TMZ recently about the 21-year-old’s future in the business.

“I’m ready to see what she can do. I’m ready for her to pop off and represent The Bloodline,” he said.

“We are all family. We all look out for her. She has the whole squad side on her side.”

Jimmy Uso also commented on Raine being part of The Schism faction.

“Schism throwing up the twos, uce, we throwing up the ones,” he said.

“The sky is the limit,” Jimmy continued to say of Raine. “She’s got the workhorse in her like we all do. It runs deep in the blood, and I’m excited for her future. I can’t wait to see where this takes her.”

Raine is part of the AnoaĘťi family dynasty as her great-grandfather, Peter Maivia, was considered “blood brothers” with Amituana’i AnoaĘťi, with their kids being considered cousins with one another.

Angelo Dawkins vs. Jimmy Uso announced for WWE SmackDown

The build to SummerSlam will continue tonight with one member of The Street Profits taking on one of The Usos in singles action.

WWE has announced that Angelo Dawkins vs. Jimmy Uso will take place on SmackDown tonight. The Usos are defending their Undisputed WWE Tag Team titles against The Street Profits at SummerSlam on Saturday, July 30.

In addition to Dawkins vs. Jimmy Uso taking place, WWE has announced that the special guest referee for The Usos vs. Street Profits at SummerSlam will be revealed on SmackDown tonight.

The Usos vs. Street Profits is a rematch from Money in the Bank. The Usos retained their titles in that match, but the referee missed that Montez Ford had his shoulder up while he was being pinned.

WWE’s Jimmy Uso called police officer an ‘a**hole’ during July 2021 DUI arrest

Footage from Jimmy Uso’s arrest for DUI in July shows him calling a police officer an “a**hole.”

Uso was arrested and charged with DUI in Pensacola, Florida on July 5, 2021. Police allege the 36-year-old ran a red light and was driving 50mph in a 35mph zone. Subsequent breathalyzer tests came back at .202 and .205 with the legal limit being 0.08.

In footage of his arrest obtained by TMZ, Uso appears to take offense after an officer expressed they hope he passes a field sobriety test.

“Are you serious? Why would you say that?” Uso asks the officer in the video.

“I don’t want you to be DUI, that’s the last thing I want,” the officer responded.

“You’re an a***hole,” Uso said later to the officer. “You’re the one that’s worse. You had a remark — you made a remark you shouldn’t have did.”

“I think you misunderstood. So, I’m sorry. I was actually being nice. But, I’m sorry,” the officer responded.

According to court documents, Uso later pleaded no contest to the charges. According to TMZ, he was required to take “several courses related to the incident” which were completed over the last month.

WWE’s Jimmy Uso arrested on misdemeanor DUI charge

For the third time in two years, WWE wrestler Jimmy Uso is in trouble with the law due to alcohol and for the second time, it involves a DUI.

Uso (Jonathan Fatu) was released from a Pensacola, Florida, jail at 9 AM Eastern after being booked on a misdemeanor DUI charge with additional citations for speeding and running a red light. His bond was set at $500.

At the time of this post, WWE has not responded to a request for comment.

TMZ first reported Tuesday morning that the 35-year-old was pulled over by Pensacola, Florida, police at 10:35 PM Monday night after he ran a red light after going 50 MPH in a 35 MPH zone in his Dodge Charger.

After questioning Uso and smelling alcohol, they asked him to exit the vehicle where they observed him swaying. He then failed several sobriety tests. The police report stated Uso said he had drank multiple beers before driving.

Blood alcohol tests resulted in Uso blowing a .205 and .202, more than twice the state legal limit of .08.

Uso was arrested in July 2019 in a nearly identical situation by Pensacola police as he was driving erratically and arrested for DUI for an unlawful blood alcohol level. Despite video evidence, a Florida jury said he was not guilty without any rationale or reason given.

That followed a February 2019 arrest for disorderly conduct and obstruction after he and wife Naomi (Trinity Fatu) were pulled over in Detroit, MI, after allegedly driving the wrong way down a one-way street. The arresting officer said the car smelled of alcohol. Uso was said to have confronted the police and squared off as if he was going to fight before cooler heads prevailed. He later pleaded no contest and resolved the issue in paying a fine.

After missing a year due to knee surgery, Uso had returned to WWE SmackDown in May as part of the Roman Reigns/Jey Uso storyline.

Jimmy Uso returns to WWE TV on SmackDown

Jimmy Uso made his return to WWE tonight on SmackDown, confronting Roman Reigns over his recent attitude.

He returned at the start of tonight’s show, being introduced by Reigns, who said he would “replace” the banished Daniel Bryan. Later, after being confronted about playing a part in Cesaro scoring a match against Reigns at WrestleMania Backlash, Jimmy refused to be told down to, saying he wasn’t Roman’s bitch. At the end of the show, Jimmy brought up being attacked by Roman Reigns last year at Hell in a Cell. After Roman gave him an ultimatum to fall in line or go home, Cesaro attacked Reigns and Jey. Although he interfered on their behalf, Jimmy was also laid out.

Jimmy has been out of action for over a year, last wrestling at WrestleMania 36, suffering a knee injury in a singles triple threat ladder match over the SmackDown Tag Team titles that also featured John Morrison and Kofi Kingston. This allowed Jey Uso to branch out as a singles wrestler, first feuding with Roman Reigns upon his return from a hiatus and later joining his side after accepting him as the “head of the table”.

WWE’s Jimmy Uso out 6-to-9 months with knee injury

One half of The Usos is on the injured list.

First reported by Ringside News and later confirmed by our Dave Meltzer, Jimmy Uso (Jonathan Fatu) will be out 6-to-9 months with a knee injury, believed to be suffered during the triple threat ladder match at last month’s WrestleMania.

It’s unknown what the extent of the injury is outside that the 34-year-old will need surgery.

He and brother Jey had returned to SmackDown in early-January after missing nearly half a year following Jimmy’s July 2019 DUI arrest. Before WrestleMania, they had been feuding over the brand’s tag team titles with The New Day and The Miz & Morrison.

On Saturday, WWE announced a four-way match for the upcoming Money In The Bank pay-per-view featuring the champions New Day vs. Miz & Morrision vs. Forgotten Sons vs. Lucha House Party.

This is the first long term injury Jimmy has suffered since beginning in WWE. The duo are two-time Raw tag team champions and four-time SmackDown tag team champions.

WWE announces change to tag title ladder match for WrestleMania 36

Ahead of night one of the show airing, WWE has confirmed that The Miz isn’t wrestling on WrestleMania 36.

It was officially announced on today’s edition of WWE’s The Bump that Miz is off this year’s WrestleMania. With Miz out of the show, the SmackDown Tag Team titles will be on the line in a triple threat ladder match between John Morrison, Kofi Kingston, and Jimmy Uso.

It was said that the match will be part of night one of WrestleMania 36 tonight.

Miz & Morrison defending their titles in a triple threat ladder match against The New Day and The Usos was originally planned for WrestleMania. In storyline, the explanation given during today’s announcement was that Miz is out of the match due to being injured during a brawl on SmackDown last night.

It’s been known since March 27 that Miz didn’t wrestle at WWE’s tapings for WrestleMania. Dave Meltzer reported that Miz showed up to the tapings sick and ended up being flagged from performing.

No one in WWE has tested positive for coronavirus.

WrestleMania 36 airs across two nights tonight and tomorrow. Both nights will have pre-shows starting at 6 p.m. Eastern time. The main cards will begin at 7 p.m. Eastern.

The Usos return, help Roman Reigns on WWE SmackDown

The Usos returned to WWE tonight, assisting their cousin Roman Reigns from a 2-on-1 attack.

The end of SmackDown tonight had The Fiend Bray Wyatt attack Daniel Bryan during a tag team match pitting Bryan and Roman Reigns against King Corbin and Dolph Ziggler. With Bryan out, Corbin and Ziggler attacked Reigns, chaining him to the bottom rope.

Corbin and Ziggler were about to pour dog food on Reigns, similar to an attack from last month when The Usos came out for the save, taking out both Ziggler and Corbin with superkicks.

The Usos had not been on television since the July 29th, 2019 edition of Raw. Jimmy Uso (Jonathan Fatu) was arrested for a DUI back on July 25. This was following an arrest back on February 14 for disorderly conduct and obstruction of justice. In the latter case, Fatu pleaded no contest to interfering with a government employee and was fined $450. Last month, a jury found Fatu not guilty of the DUI charge.

WWE’s Jimmy Uso found not guilty in Florida DUI case

After an hour of deliberation, a Florida jury found WWE wrestler Jimmy Uso not guilty of DUI Wednesday in an Escambia County courtroom.

Uso (Jonathan Fatu) was arrested in late July for an unlawful blood alcohol level by local police. The arresting officer, Jeremy Meeks, observed Uso swerving left and right and smelled alcohol after he pulled him over. He never refused a field sobriety test but did ask for his lawyer, later opting for a jury trial. A video from the arrest showed Fatu swerving and speeding, hitting 86 mph at one point, 41 over the speed limit. The speeding ticket he received remains on his record.

Meeks testified Wednesday and observed that Uso had a hard time opening up the door, getting out of the vehicle, and stumbled.

Uso didn’t speak to the media after the verdict, but his lawyer (seen above with Uso) said, “A cop can arrest you but they cannot convict you and that’s why we took it to the next level and plead not guilty and set out for a case trial.” No reason or rationale was given for the verdict.

This was Uso’s second arrest of 2019 as he and wife Naomi (Trinity Fatu) were pulled over in Detroit, MI, and he was charged with disorderly conduct and obstruction. The arresting officer noted the car smelled of alcohol. He later pleaded no contest and paid $450 in fines.

Uso and brother Jey have been off WWE TV since the summer.

More details emerge on Jimmy Uso DUI arrest

Pensacola, FL, TV station WEAR-TV released more information from the police report regarding Jimmy Uso’s arrest Thursday morning for DUI and an unlawful speeding citation.

Uso (Jonathan Fatu) is scheduled in court on August 15th and was given a bond of $1000.

At 1:30 AM, an off-duty officer advised an Escambia County Sheriff’s Office deputy about a vehicle driving in excess of 100 mph on Interstate 10, drifting from left to right and going out of its lane. The car eventually pulled into Ticket Sports Bar but by the time the deputy arrived, it had left. The deputy later saw the vehicle turn onto Highway 297A, rapidly accelerating (clocked at 86 mph in a 45 mph) and coming very close to hitting another vehicle.

After the deputy pulled Fatu over, he noted Fatu had issues holding his license, registration, and proof of insurance. He had bloodshot and watery eyes, droopy eyelids, dilated pupils, and slow/slurred speech according to the deputy.

The deputy said he could smell an alcoholic beverage from the driver side window and asked Fatu several times to step out of the car. When he did, he appeared to be unsteady and the deputy asked him to ride with him to a flat parking lot to do a field sobriety test. Fatu agreed and then was reportedly confused and didn’t know what was happening, asking if he needed a lawyer and if he was being detained.

According to the report, Fatu took out his phone and attempted to put it toward the deputy’s face. At that point, he was arrested for DUI and became uncooperative, eventually getting into the police vehicle after being asked several times.

Fatu said he was uncomfortable with the police vehicle and wanted to speak with another deputy. The arresting officer said he had to roll down his back windows due to the overwhelming smell of alcohol in the car.

WWE’s statement Thursday: “Jonathan Fatu is responsible for his own personal actions.”
