NXT UK’s WALTER set for EVOLVE 135 and 136

WWE United Kingdom Champion WALTER will be in action at EVOLVE’s events in New York City later this month.

NXT UK’s Twitter account announced today that WALTER will be wrestling at EVOLVE 135 in Brooklyn on Friday, September 20 and EVOLVE 136 in Queens on Saturday, September 21. He’ll also be taking part in meet-and-greets at both events.

WALTER’s opponents for the shows will be announced soon.

EVOLVE 135 is taking place at the Saint Finbar Catholic Church Gym in Brooklyn. La Boom in Queens is hosting EVOLVE 136.

WALTER made his WWE debut at NXT UK TakeOver: Blackpool this January, then went on to win the WWE UK Championship at NXT TakeOver: New York over WrestleMania 35 weekend. He retained the title against Tyler Bate at NXT UK TakeOver: Cardiff last month.

NXT wrestlers Babatunde and Arturo Ruas will also be in action at EVOLVE 135 and EVOLVE 136. Meet-and-greets with Johnny Gargano, Candice LeRae, and Tommaso Ciampa are available to purchase for both shows, and Gargano and Ciampa will be special guests at WWN’s seminar/tryout in Brooklyn on September 20.

WWE confirms Kushida’s matches for EVOLVE 133 and 134

Kushida’s matches for this month’s EVOLVE shows have now been made official.

WWE revealed today that Kushida will face JD Drake at EVOLVE 133 in Livonia, Michigan on Saturday, August 24. They also officially announced that Drew Gulak will defend his WWE Cruiserweight Championship against Kushida at EVOLVE 134 in Chicago, Illinois on Sunday, August 25.

Gulak vs. Kushida was first teased for EVOLVE 134 via a tweet from Gulak: “i still owe you, @kushida_0904. i’m free on the 25th. how about i bring the #cruiserweightchampionship to chicago and we can see who’s truly EVOLVED…”

Tweets from Drake Maverick and Gabe Sapolsky then confirmed that the match would be happening.

Kushida defeated Gulak twice on NXT television earlier this year.

EVOLVE 133 is taking place at the Monaghan Knights of Columbus Hall in Livonia, while Chicago’s Logan Square Auditorium is hosting EVOLVE 134. Kushida will be available for meet-and-greets on both nights, and Gulak will only be wrestling and doing meet-and-greets in Chicago.

NXT’s Kushida set for EVOLVE 133 and 134

Kushida will be making his EVOLVE Wrestling debut later this month.

Kushida will be in action at EVOLVE 133 in Livonia, Michigan on Saturday, August 24 and EVOLVE 134 in Chicago, Illinois on Sunday, August 25. He’ll also be available for meet-and-greets on both nights.

Drew Gulak sent out a tweet teasing that he’ll be defending his Cruiserweight Championship against Kushida on the Chicago show. Tweets by Gabe Sapolsky and Drake Maverick then set up that the match will be happening.

Kushida signed with WWE and joined NXT after his contract with NJPW expired earlier this year.

WWE announces Matt Riddle’s opponents for EVOLVE 133 and 134

WWE has revealed Matt Riddle’s opponents for next month’s EVOLVE shows.

Earlier this week, it was announced that Riddle would be wrestling at EVOLVE 133 in Livonia, Michigan on Saturday, August 24 and EVOLVE 134 in Chicago, Illinois on Sunday, August 25. He’ll be facing Josh Briggs at the Livonia show. In Chicago, Riddle & Curt Stallion will challenge for AR Fox & Leon Ruff’s EVOLVE Tag Team titles.

Riddle defeated Drew Gulak at EVOLVE’s 10th Anniversary Celebration earlier this month. He then defeated Stallion at EVOLVE 132 the next night.

Fox & Ruff won the EVOLVE Tag Team titles from Eddie Kingston & Joe Gacy at the anniversary show.

Riddle is a former EVOLVE Champion and WWN Champion. He joined WWE in August 2018 and is currently involved in a program against Killian Dain in NXT.

EVOLVE 133 is taking place at the Monaghan Knights of Columbus Hall in Livonia, while EVOLVE 134 is being held at Logan Square Auditorium in Chicago. Riddle and Tommaso Ciampa (who underwent neck surgery in March) will be available for meet-and-greets at both shows.
