John Cena teams with Awesome Truth on WWE Raw

John Cena made a surprise appearance on WWE Raw.

Towards the end of a match between Awesome Truth and Judgment Day (Dominik Mysterio, Finn Balor, and JD McDonagh), McDonagh was posing when Cena’s music hit. This helped Awesome Truth even the odds, with all three men hitting Attitude Adjustments to score the win.

The Judgment Day were talking about their success at WrestleMania 40 when new World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest and Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley went for a pose. All of a sudden, R-Truth appeared, still thinking he was part of the Judgment Day. The Miz came out and eventually, Finn Balor challenged the two to a Raw Tag Team title match. Truth instead challenged Judgment Day to a six-man tag team match, saying he had a partner that they couldn’t see. R-Truth was about to introduce their partner when Judgment Day jumped them, starting the match.

Cena also made an appearance at the end of WrestleMania 40 on Sunday, helping Cody Rhodes take out Solo Sikoa, who defeated John Cena last fall in Saudi Arabia. He was taken out by The Rock, who was then taken out by The Undertaker. Cody eventually defeated Roman Reigns to become the new Undisputed WWE Universal Champion.

Three teams qualify for WWE WrestleMania 40 ladder match

Three new teams have qualified for the Six-Pack Ladder Match for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team titles at WrestleMania 40.

Awesome Truth (The Miz & R-Truth), DIY (Tomasso Ciampa & Johnny Gargano), and The New Day (Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods) have now qualified to challenge Damian Priest & Finn Balor at WrestleMania 40 next month. Awesome Truth defeated Indus Sher, New Day defeated Otis & Akira Tozawa, and DIY defeated The Creed Brothers on Monday’s Raw.

Two mini-tournaments are taking place on SmackDown to determine the final two spots. Tyler Bate & Pete Dunne will meet Humberto Carrillo & Angel Garza in a future match to determine the first spot after they won matches on SmackDown. The OC will meet Austin Theory & Grayson Waller and The Authors of Pain will take on The Street Profits on SmackDown this coming Friday. The winners of those two matches will then face off to determine the second spot in the ladder match.
