AEW Rampage spoilers from Arlington, Texas

Spoilers for the next edition of AEW Rampage are available.

With AEW heading to the UK next week, the Friday, August 23 edition of Rampage was taped from the Esports Stadium Arlington last night.

The show featured Mina Shirakawa’s return to the promotion for the first time since challenging Toni Storm for the AEW Women’s title at Forbidden Door in June, although she took part in the ROH tapings last week as well.

Rampage also marked the end of AEW and ROH’s residency at the venue. The show closed with The Von Erichs picking up a win over the Outrunners with Dustin Rhodes in their corner.

Tony Khan addressed the live crowd after the show concluded.

The Friday, August 9 AEW Rampage episode was taped Wednesday night, August 7 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

Four matches were taped for Friday’s show which airs in its regular 10 p.m. Eastern time slot on TNT. Only Darby Allin in action was announced for the show during Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite. Allin is set to challenge for the TNT Championship at All In on August 25, and has earned an AEW World title shot for Dynamite Grand Slam on September 25 by virtue of winning the Royal Rampage match last month.

AEW Collision spoilers for June 22–

  • Will Ospreay defeated Brian Cage to retain the AEW International title
  • Samoa Joe, Hook & Katsuyori Shibata defeated Premier Athletes (Tony Nese, Josh Woods & Ari Davari). Shibata got Nese to tap after a cross armbreaker.
  • Mariah May & AEW World Women’s Champion Toni Storm defeated Leyla Hirsch & Lady Frost when Storm pinned Hirsch after Storm Zero.
  • The Patriarchy (Christian Cage, Nick Wayne & Killswitch) defeated the Iron Savages. Christian spent the whole match at the commentators desk until one of the Savages was completely helpless, and then he walked from the desk (at the entrance ramp) to a huge ovation, tagged in & hit the Killswitch for the pin.
  • Chris Jericho & Big Bill defeated Private Party. Afterward Joe, Shibata & Hook ran in to break up a post-match attack on Private Party. Joe challenged Jericho to a trios match for Forbidden Door.
  • Kings of the Black Throne (Brody King & Malakai Black) defeated LSG and MSG.
  • Hechicero defeated Matt Menard by submission
  • Kazuchika Okada defeated Ultimo Guerrero in an AEW Continental title eliminator match. Guerrero lost his mask on a superplex spot. This played into the finish. Okada pulled off Guerrero’s mask again and while Guerrero struggled to cover his face, Okada hit the rainmaker for the pinfall. Crowd was into Okada and this was likely the Collision main event.

AEW Rampage spoilers for June 28 —

  • Orange Cassidy defeated The Outrunners in a 2-on-1 match
  • Gabe Kidd & Roderick Strong defeated The Infantry
  • El Phantasmo defeated AR Fox
  • Shingo Takagi defeated Dalton Castle
  • Queen Aminata defeated Skye Blue. The women hugged after the match and then Blue hit Aminata with a superkick. Red Velvet ran out for the save.

Ring of Honor TV spoilers —

  • Juice Robinson & The Gunn Club defeated The Dark Order (Evil Uno, Alex Reynolds, John Silver).
  • Mark Briscoe defeated Kyle Fletcher to retain the ROH World title.
  • Wheeler Yuta drew with Lee Moriarty in an ROH Pure title Proving Ground match by going the distance in the 10 minute time limit.
  • Matt Taven & Mike Bennett defeated Komander & Metallik in an ROH Tag Team title Proving Ground match. After the match, the heels beat on Metallik and The Infantry made the save. Then The Outrunners attacked The Infantry. Finally, Orange Cassidy made the save and took out Taven and Bennett. The Outrunners went after referee Bryce Remsburg. The Infantry low-blowed the Outrunners. Remsburg hit them both with stunners, and Orange Cassidy counted a pin for Remsburg (while wearing Remsburg’s ref shirt) on both Outrunners to send the crowd home happy. 

AEW Rampage spoilers from Fairfax

Dark Match:

  • Jeff Jarrett & Jay Lethal defeated The Outrunners after Jarrett got the win with the Stroke.

AEW Rampage:

  • Private Party defeated Metalik & Komander (with Alex Abrahantes). Big Bill and Chris Jericho came out and Private Party ended up brawling with them. Security ended up pulling both teams apart.
  • Shingo Takagi defeated AR Fox. Bryan Danielson came to the ring and he and Takagi had a face-off. Takagi walked away and pushed Danielson.
  • Rey Fenix defeated Turbo Floyd of the Outrunners.
  • Lio Rush defeated Action Andretti in a TNT title ladder match qualifier. Rush will now be in the ladder match at Forbidden Door that will determine a new TNT Champion.
  • Willow Nightingale defeated Serena Deeb to advance in the Owen Hart Foundation tournament.

AEW will tape Collision Thursday in Allentown, Pennsylvania. They will then tape Dynamite and Collision on June 26 in Buffalo, New York before Forbidden Door in Long Island on June 30.

AEW Rampage spoilers from Des Moines

In a dark match that took place just prior to Dynamite, Zak Knight defeated Che Cabrera.

AEW Rampage:

  • PAC defeated Rocky Romero
  • Chris Jericho, who was on commentary, cut a promo about the FTW Championship. Katsuyori Shibata came out and ended up battling with Big Bill. Hook arrived and attacked Chris Jericho as the two fought in the crowd.
  • Samoa Joe defeated Dom Kubrick
  • Rush defeated Isiah Kassidy
  • Willow Nightingale and Kris Statlander defeated Alex Windsor and Anna Jay. Mercedes Mone hit the ring as she and Nightingale battled. Mone ended up with the TBS Championship and paraded with the title before tossing it out of the ring to end the show.

AEW next heads to Las Vegas, Nevada for Double or Nothing weekend, starting with this Saturday’s Collision where The Gunns will meet the Lucha Bros. in a match where if the Lucha Bros. win, the Trios titles will be on the line at DoN when the Bang Bang Gang battle Death Triangle.
