New AEW pay-per-view reportedly set for 2026, name revealed

AEW may have a new pay-per-view coming in 2026 and it already has a name, according to Andrew Zarian.

The Sunday Wrestling Observer Live host said on Friday’s Mat Men Podcast that the recently trademarked AEW Redemption would be the name.

Where it goes is still unknown, but there is a front runner based on the calendar.

As of now, AEW has announced dates for May’s Double or Nothing, June’s Forbidden Door and August’s All In, leaving July wide open for that slot to be filled. For the past two years, AEW has not done either a June or July PPV.

It remains a possibility that AEW renames an existing show (September’s All Out, October’s WrestleDream, November’s Full Gear or December’s Worlds End), but that remains very unlikely.

Redemption would bring AEW to ten yearly PPVs for the first time in their history.

They started out with three in 2019, four in both 2020 and 2021, five in 2022, eight in 2023, and nine in both 2024 and 2025. With the exception of 2020’s Revolution, they have always skipped both January and February.

AEW announces entire PPV schedule for rest of 2024

AEW has revealed its entire pay-per-view schedule for the remainder of 2024.

After debuting last year, WrestleDream and Worlds End are both returning. WrestleDream is still being held in the state of Washington but will take place in Tacoma instead of Seattle. It’s set for Saturday, October 12.

Worlds End will be held in Orlando, Florida on Saturday, December 28.

There are eight AEW PPVs in total from now until the end of the year:

  • Sunday, April 21: Dynasty (Chaifetz Arena in St. Louis, Missouri)
  • Sunday, May 26: Double or Nothing (MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada)
  • Sunday, June 30: Forbidden Door (UBS Arena in Elmont, New York)
  • Sunday, August 25: All In London (Wembley Stadium in London, England)
  • Sunday, September 1: All Out (NOW Arena in Hoffman Estates, Illinois)
  • Saturday, October 12: WrestleDream (Tacoma Dome in Tacoma, Washington)
  • Saturday, November 23: Full Gear (Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey)
  • Saturday, December 28: Worlds End (Addition Financial Arena in Orlando, Florida)

The original plan was reportedly for Forbidden Door to be held at Arthur Ashe Stadium in Queens. The show is still set for New York but will instead take place from the UBS Arena in Long Island.

Like last year, All In and All Out are taking place on back-to-back weekends.
