WWE announced most of its PPV dates for 2022, with a number of interesting notes.
As we had mentioned a few weeks back, WrestleMania is officially now a two-day event, running on 4/2 and 4/3 at AT&T Stadium in Dallas. The WWE returns to the stadium where they set their legitimate all-time attendance record on April 3, 2016, claiming 101,763 fans, although the actual turnstile count (meaning the number of fans who attended) was 80,709 fans (Brandon Thurston got the actual count from the Arlington Police Department) and the paid was approximately 79,800 based on WWE’s KPI reports. Both numbers were slightly ahead of the 1992 SummerSlam at Wembley Stadium where the legitimate numbers were 79,127 in the building at 78,927 paid. The famed WrestleMania III show at the Pontiac Silverdome, which is probably the most famous event in WWE history, did 78,300 in the building and 76,000 paid.
Tickets for WWE’s biggest event of 2022 are set to go on sale next month.
While announcing its PPV schedule for 2022 today, WWE confirmed that WrestleMania 38will be a two-night event taking place on Saturday, April 2 and Sunday, April 3. The show will be held at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
It was also announced today that tickets to WrestleMania 38 will go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. Central time on Friday, November 12. Tickets will be available through SeatGeek.com, with both single-night and two-day combo tickets available.
WWE has also opened up a mailing list for those interested in receiving information regarding the pre-sale for WrestleMania 38 tickets.
WrestleMania travel packages will be available to purchase starting at noon Eastern time on Monday, November 8.
This will be the third straight year that WrestleMania has been a two-night event. It’s the first WrestleMania to be held in Texas since AT&T Stadium hosted WrestleMania 32 in 2016.
For the first time in company history, WWE released their entire pay-per-view schedule for the following year, including dates and locations.
WrestleMania will indeed take place over two nights: Saturday, April 2nd and Sunday, April 3rd at AT&T Stadium in Dallas, Texas. As of September, WWE was still discussing how to approach the weekend events-wise.
While September is without a location, that month’s PPV will be held during Labor Day weekend on either Saturday, September 3rd or Sunday, September 4th. That weekend is typically when AEW traditionally holds All Out in Chicago.
Also of note, SummerSlam will not be held in the UK as previously discussed. Instead, it will be heading to Nashville’s Nissan Stadium.
February and October’s dates and locations are still TBA, but those could be the yearly Saudi Arabia events based on when they have held those shows historically.
The schedule is also missing the PPV names outside the Big Four, Money in the Bank, and the new Day 1 show.
In their release, WWE said the year ahead will set a record for their most stadium events in a year.

The planning is on for next April’s WWE WrestleMania 38 in Dallas, Texas.
According to Dave Meltzer in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE has been in contact with AT&T Stadium officials with several ideas on how to approach the weekend in addition to Friday’s SmackDown and Monday’s Raw.
As of now, just one date has been announced: Sunday, April 3rd. However, doing two days of WrestleMania is under consideration. Right now, they are “looking into planning, security, insurance, cost of production, length of the event (two days vs. one day) and other locations for shows that weekend,” he wrote.
One idea was having both the Sunday WrestleMania and Monday’s Raw at AT&T with a 40,000-seat setup.
Complicating matters, they cannot run the go-home SmackDown at the American Airlines Center as it’s booked for a Dallas Mavericks NBA game. Meltzer said that SmackDown could be pre-taped, but they may not want to do that this year with Fox.
Meltzer said the 32,000-seat Gerald Ford Stadium, located on the campus of Southern Methodist University, is also under consideration for both SmackDown and Raw because of the amount of fans they expect to be in town for the weekend.
A new report says that WrestleMania 38 next year could be a two-night event.
Fightful Select reported this morning that the plan internally as of last week was for the show, which will be held at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, to be split up as a two-night event on Saturday, April 2, and Sunday, April 3. If these plans are confirmed, it would be the first two-night WrestleMania event to be held in front of a full crowd.
The move to another two-night event would come after WrestleMania 37 became the first event to be held on two consecutive nights, being held on April 10 and 11. Bianca Belair defeated Sasha Banks to win the SmackDown Women’s Championship on night one, while Roman Reigns defeated Daniel Bryan and Edge in a triple threat match to retain the Universal Championship on night two.
WrestleMania 39 is scheduled to be held on April 2, 2023 at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, California. This was the original home for this year’s WrestleMania, however plans changed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The reason there has been no television direction for the main matches at Mania and you don’t hear anything about them is because there isn’t any. The only thing we know is the top Raw championship matches are not locked in. On SmackDown, Reigns has two different opponents that are being considered so Bryan is not a lock and at least as of this past week, Nakamura was not one of the two under consideration as of last week, even after the gauntlet. Then again, if you followed the Kingston deal a few years ago if they sense people want something, it’s possible to change and in fact, plans change daily anyway. But with no crowds, while plans will change, the change to Nakamura in that spot is less likely but nothing is impossible.
Meltzer also reports that as of earlier this week, WWE is planning for an attendance of 30,000 on each night of WrestleMania 37:
Inside WWE, the plan looks to be to put 30,000 people in the building both nights. If the Super Bowl puts in more, they’ll likely put in more. But that was the legit goal as of early in the week. What they’ll announce is anyone’s guess. The shows will likely be four-and-a-half hours with the first match going in the ring at 5:30 p.m. and the targeted ending at 10 p.m. The Tokyo Dome did two five hour shows. The second day was tough, as it was last year, and as it was to a degree with WrestleMania last year, but in the long run it was the best for all concerns. Right now it doesn’t look like that will be the plan going forward, but two shows at four-and-a-half hours leads to better matches and longer matches and higher quality shows than one at seven. Plus there is more money to be made. In the past you could argue it would break tradition or it just wouldn’t work, but New Japan has proven two years running that it does.
WWE announced last weekend that WrestleMania 37 will be held on Saturday, April 10 and Sunday, April 11 at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida. It was also revealed that WrestleMania 38 is scheduled for April 3, 2022 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas and WrestleMania 39 is set for April 2, 2023 in Inglewood, California at SoFi Stadium.
WWE has made a major announcement regarding this year’s WrestleMania and the schedule for WrestleMania moving forward.
WWE has confirmed that WrestleMania 37 will take place at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida. For the second time ever, WrestleMania will be a two night event. WrestleMania 37 will take place on Saturday, April 10 and Sunday, April 11, 2021. WWE noted that — in coordination with local partners and government officials — the company “will announce ticket availability and safety protocols for WrestleMania 37 in the coming weeks. Information on additional WrestleMania Week events is forthcoming.”
The locations and dates for WrestleMania 38 and WrestleMania 39 have also been announced. WrestleMania 38 will be held at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas on Sunday, April 3, 2022. WrestleMania 39 will take place at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California on Sunday, April 2, 2023.
AT&T Stadium was also the site of WrestleMania 32 in 2016.
WrestleMania 36 was originally supposed to be held at Raymond James Stadium in April 2020, but that couldn’t happen due to the COVID-19 pandemic. WrestleMania 36 instead took place as a two-night event that was taped at the WWE Performance Center.
Prior to the show being moved to Tampa, this year’s WrestleMania had originally been set to take place at SoFi Stadium.
WWE produced a “WrestleMania Report” video announcing the changes. It features Triple H, Stephanie McMahon, Roman Reigns, Paul Heyman, Sasha Banks, and John Cena:
