Rachael Evers okay following hit-and-run car accident

Rachael Evers is okay following a hit and run car accident that took place this afternoon.

Evers wrote about the situation on Twitter, saying that the accident was due to a drunk driver.

“Let me start by saying this: I am ok,” she wrote. “I was hit by a drunk driver today on my way home from the [WWE Performance Center]. Hit and run. I’m extremely thankful it was my passengers side that was hit. Some people aren’t so lucky-please DONT DRINK AND DRIVE.”

She then posted pictures of the driver and his license plate, saying she caught up to him by running up to him.

Evers, real name Rachael Ellering, is the daughter of former wrestler and manager Paul Ellering. She started wrestling in 2015 and the following year became a regular on NXT television as enhancement talent. She has also competed in both Mae Young Classic tournaments in 2017 and 2018. She was officially signed to a developmental deal this past January and has since been working NXT house shows.

Latest group of WWE signees report to Performance Center

The latest group of WWE signees have officially reported to the Performance Center.

WWE announced this month’s Performance Center class via Twitter today, which features wrestlers Trevor Lee, ACH, Rachael Ellering, Karen Q, Samuel Shaw, Jonah Rock, Elliot Sexton, Team 3.0 (Scott Parker & Shane Matthews), and Nick Comoroto.

Former college football players Omari Palmer and Ricardo Miller, who had WWE tryouts last summer, are the two other members of the new Performance Center class.

Lee officially confirmed last month that he had signed with WWE. He finished up with Impact Wrestling in November and had farewells for PWG and AAW this January but still holds the CWF Mid-Atlantic Heavyweight Championship. ACH also said farewell to AAW last month.

As “Rachel Evers,” Ellering took part in the 2017 and 2018 Mae Young Classic tournaments. Karen Q was an entrant in last year’s Mae Young Classic as well.

Shaw formerly wrestled for Impact and was involved with the NWA before signing with WWE. Rock and Sexton are both from Australia, and Rock had been a regular for PWG.

3.0 are a tag team from Canada who have also made appearances as enhancement wrestlers for WWE. Comoroto is a graduate of the Monster Factory wrestling school.

Full lineup set for WWE Mae Young Classic

All 32 wrestlers have been confirmed for this summer’s Mae Young Classic.

The final five participants were announced for the tournament today, with Sienna, Xia Li, Rachael Ellering,  MJ Jenkins, and Zatara rounding out the lineup. Tapings for the tournament will be held at Full Sail University next Wednesday and Thursday, leading into the finals taking place at WWE Evolution on October 28.

Sienna was announced by her real name (Allysin Kay). She is a former two-time Knockouts Champion in Impact Wrestling and recently left the company when her contract expired while she was out of action with blood clots in both of her lungs.

Li and Ellering are both returning from last year’s Mae Young Classic. Li is from China and made her in-ring debut in the 2017 tournament, losing to Mercedes Martinez in the first round. She’s under WWE contract and wrestles on NXT house shows in Florida.

Ellering is again going by “Rachel Evers,” which is a reference to her trainer Lance Storm’s real last name. She defeated Marti Belle in the first round last year, with Dave Meltzer reporting that WWE changed the finish midway through after Belle had originally been booked to win. Ellering lost to Abbey Laith in the second round and has wrestled outside of WWE since the tournament.

Jenkins was signed by WWE as part of the most recent group of wrestlers to report to the Performance Center. She wrestled on the indies before joining WWE and was formerly part of the Impact Wrestling roster.

Zatara is a masked wrestler from Santiago, Chile. She is 26 years old and started wrestling in 2008.
